  1. There might be a rogue CC in the MIDI data - the SI instruments can behave a little weirdly with unexpected CCs.
  2. I never use Quick Start, so it's either from File->Open, or File->Recent Files or right click on a start menu/taskbar pinned Sonar shortcut and selecting a recently opened file from there.
  3. I see this all the time (have done for many versions). Golf babes?????
  4. Even with one physical out in use, Entire Mix might not work. For example, I have just headphone output enabled, but between my "master" bus and the headphones, I have another bus which has a headphone EQer on (Blue Cat Re-Head in my case) and a volume drop so that I don't have to keep fiddling with my physical headphone volume knob. Neither of these I want to apply to my exports, so I always use the "Master Bus" as the source.
  5. I find this too: bind (say) Ctrl-T to the process, so it's select (always needed), Ctrl-T, 12, hit enter. Pretty quick.
  6. Do a binary tree search - much quicker and less hair pulled out!
  7. Just come across this which I think many of this parish will enjoy. https://petrustheron.com/posts/2024-12-12-grug-guide-to-sound.html
  8. There is a way round this if you don't mind registry editing. Open Regedit Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Sonar\Recently Used Plug-ins Delete all subkeys (they will look like "{56535454-482D-5574-682D-750000000000}" for example) Right click on "Recently Used Plug-ins" and choose Permissions In the Group or user name box, find the user you are logged in as, untick Full Control in the Permissions box and click OK
  9. You can also click the template file explicitly to save.
  10. There is a bug where a saved template file gets saved in the wrong location so re-opening the template from the template folder (or File->New) doesn't work, but you can save over an existing template by forcing Sonar to do so.
  11. You can drag-select, click a track to select all clips on the track or ctrl-A.
  12. Really? Not defaulting (it's per clip) but doable.
  13. What if the CPU clock is dynamically changing (most modern CPUs do)? Can you disable that in the BIOS as a test at least?
  14. I recently tried switching from a local to an MS account on Windows 10 to take advantage of those points. Couldn't log in with any account on the machine or my remote one and had to roll back to an image (sadly to one older than I'd have liked - that was me being unlucky).

Something a bit different from me (nothing space themed!). This is a really old track that I've been re-working with new plug-ins and new skills. It's something I'd like to think Motorhead might have played. So here is "Streetwalking the World": https://www.bandlab.com/track/7e7046dd-7b79-f011-b480-000d3aa44c65?revId=7d7046dd-7b79-f011-b480-000d3aa44c65
  16. I meant is that flag sent to plugins in some way (I know some older plugins supported/exposed a realtime/nonrealtime parameter).
