  2. Can you not in the (admittedly small!) text box at bottom left of the insert synth dialogue?
  3. I've got 21 and after validating online, I've never had to redo anything. Obviously.updates need internet access, but that's all.
  4. Usually on a bus (send). Thanks for suggestions.
  5. That is a very good question! I'm not sure how to describe what I want, but I'll try: if I solo the vocal (say) with some reverb attached, I want to be able to hear the reverb, with it potentially sounding quite "lush" (for want of a better word) and obvious, but without it sounding metallic. I've listened to demos/YT videos of various reverbs in various settings (vocals and guitar mainly) and they sound "lush" but when I try to replicate, they sound flat (again, for want of a better word). That said, I get the same with virtual guitar chorus pedals (eg. with TH-U)!
  6. I will await the same answer 🙂 The performance increase looks good on paper, but how does it translate to things like actual render time (which is what's slow and tedious for me)?
  7. If you have multiple MIDI tracks feeding one synth or multiple audio tracks being fed by one synth (one output of the synth or many), the concept of "a" Simple Instrument Track is meaningless.
  8. I use both depending on context: - If it's an, ahem, simple part, I'll use a Simple Instrument Track just to save screen space, as it's unlikely I need quick access to all MIDI parameters - If it's an instrument with multiple outputs, I'll probably use split tracks for consistency across the (audio) tracks - If it's a drum synth (likely with multiple audio outs anyway), I'll probably use one track per kit piece (or pieces like all Toms); before anyone says "Drum Maps", I know about them, but I may want to apply a different MIDI FX to the different kit pieces (laziness for randomisation purposes, for example) - One particular example was where I wanted to use the built-in arpeggiator but change patterns (or, I think, not have the notes arpeggiated for part of the project, and I was seeing unexpected behaviour with the enable/disable switch) so I put each different arpeggiator on a different MIDI track, both pointing to the same synth (everything audio needed to be the same for both parts).
  9. I've put in 0.91 (which it says is the minimum) and I get all 5. I'm only after Vegas Pro 22 (if I get it - I need to see what it has vs 21). EDIT - it lies when you get to the checkout and it's put it up to £41.

    TH-U?

Guitar amp simulator plugin (with FX, amps etc).
  11. Del Shamnon - Runaway
  12. Re. Radiance - is anyone else finding that the rotary controls don't work in the Onyx scheme (you can only change their values by using the numbers)? Pearl theme works fine.
  13. I've got a bunch already, from the free (eg. Sonitus/Core) to paid for (eg. NomadFactory 80s Spaces, Xenoverb) and although I like them, I've yet to find one that I really like when i use it (I love the demos and then go a bit "meh" when I have it). I also get annoyed by the fact that the output levels vary *so* much so comparisons become tedious. I have their Magic 7 and that's quite nice. For £19 though, this is a bargain.
  14. Cool - thanks. Do I need more reverbs though..?

  19. You can using Patch Points. I just wouldn't in case it goes wrong - do what @Wookiee says.
  20. Could it vary depending on whether Windows thinks/knows the screen is a touchscreen one or not?
  21. I think that changing the MIDI mode (from MME to UWP?) can make this work too.

    Tonex Plug

It's a physical device: https://www.soundonsound.com/news/ik-multimedia-announce-tonex-plug Windows knows nothing about plugins so if Windows recognises it (and the editor works), it has to be physical. My guess is missing device driver.

    Canis Major

I know what you mean - I've been in much the same position and just done *something* in the end to get it finished. That said, the 1st third is really, really good!

More like that Paul Simon song "You can call me AI'. Although AI also stands for Artificial Insemination, and in general, both are a load of w*nk.
