  1. Actually it's a sale on "Car Explosions" Just what you need to give your song that explosive sound. This library features professionally recorded high quality explosion sound effects. Brutal sounding explosions that tear apart entire cars. From Hollywood film style gasoline explosions, to mobster style "under the seat" explosions, we disassembled the cars in every possible way. $125,30 US Excl. VAT (Regular $179,00 US Excl. Vat) The 3 main actors for this sfx library are: A small Nissan Micra, a SUV Opel Montery and an Opel Vectra station wagon. It was important to us that all three cars had their interior fittings intact so we had all possible options to attach our lethal explosives. We experimented a lot by blowing up different parts of the vehicles to come up with varying and characterful explosion sound effects. Learn More

  4. My iZotope issues are resolved. They finally after multiple conversations un-iLok-ed their plugins in my account. Using their Portal you can install and authorize all their plugins. Once my iLok issue was cleared I was able to authorize all of my iZotope plugins at one time, painlessly; no need to authorize in my DAW. I still could have authorized them individually in the Portal but no point in doing so.
  5. Regarding comments about Eventide - they have great customer service. I had an iLock issue with one of their plugins activated on a dead computer and they cleared it so that I could reuse it with no fuss. When I complained to them (before upgrading to Anthology) about their plugins not remembering the installation locations and having to set it for every plugin every update they added the feature to their todo list and fixed it.
  6. $199 for v7 to v8 is not by my definition a deal...
  7. Too bad the synth version doesn't show you the cabling. I would buy it just to learn the the routing. I wonder if at some point they're going to offer the Oberheim flavored appregiator module for sale.
  8. The standalone version comes with a crap-ton of presets if that makes difference. The modules 30ish...
  9. I checked that out as well... The module version is missing the appegiator /summer module - ie the synth version is made of 3 types of Oberheim type modules while the module version has 2. Possible CherryAudio may give a further discount on the the synth version if you purchase the module(s)...

    thinking...

Thinking is dangerous - stop it. Now. If it becomes contagious the whole deal forum could collapse ?
  11. Thanks for the heads up I don't always read the update details. I could see dropping support for 32 bit and not including new version in the installer. But I don't understand why they (and other developers) feel the need to delete existing 32 bit installations. Komplete Kontrol update is also available.

    Back on Hiatus

    Hope all is well/goes well.
  13. It's free and a nice toy for experimentation but not the tool you want to rely on for live performances or studio work. I bought into Element (paid for a permanent license) when it was introduced because I thought it had potential - but v1.0 still lurks somewhere over the distant horizon. Still has issues that existed from back before the developer decided to turn the project into open source.
  14. if only I was made of money... I could find something to trim (hair, beard, nail or a toe or 2) and upgrade to the Full Monty...
  15. Yes, if you bought it directly from Melda they know exactly what you paid. For purchases from 3rd party resellers they run with the assumption that you paid 50% No idea how they calculate for license transfers between individuals.
  16. Looks like the fixed the pricing descrepancy. I got charged a flat $7 even though price shown was like $7.40 ish
  17. They just recently updated the Output Hub, new version fixed issues that I was having where closing the Hub downloaded a 'newer' version that corrupted the installation.
  18. Out of stock in my area going out a ways...
  19. Below $8 if you own one of the suites and upgrade through the suite
  20. I might go Sphere if PreSonus threw those of us loyal enough to have purchased the latest Studio One and Notion a decent bone...
  21. Don't have a problem with dongles but I have NO interest in the the iLok cloud. I'd rather depend on a dongle than on my WiFi & ISP provider. Worried about wear on your dongle? If we're talking about your USB dongle (instead of a groupie problem) then break down and spend $2 on a USB Extension cable and just leave it permanently connected to the dongle. Breakage worries? My iLok3 is a small profile metal beastie. If I accidentally slam it while it's plugged in (another good reason to use a USB extension cable) it's more likely to damage the USB port than the dongle. My eLicenser is made of plastic but it is also low profile.
  22. I've got 2 of these on different systems running close to 24/365. Oldest is a 4TB version that's maybe 5 or more years old - no issues with either so far. That being said - I've learned the hard way that only a fool keeps his data on one device. I keep everything backed up on separate HDs.
  23. Awesome portable HD. Runs totally off USB power. Small enough to easily fit in your laptop bag. Not an SSD but fast enough to do the job. Have one tethered to my laptop to store my downloads, less frequently used Kontakt libs, etc.
