A question for all you V7 people who have upgraded just the plugins i.e. not updated their suites to v8 - everything cool with the update? No new issues? Old presets working OK?

All you need is Kontakt player. They give you the NI code to use with the free Player version of Kontakt - this does not serve as a qualifier for crossgrade to Kontakt full version.

They must like me better, cuz when I upgrade I'm gettin' 10,000 presets! from: https://www.arturia.com/products/analog-classics/v-collection/overview#en But really it's odd that Arturia's web site says 10,000 presets (in multiple places) while they've said >Analog Lab V now contains by default around 2000 presets 'by default' does that mean Analog Lab V without the v8 plugs? or are they counting every add-on library they sell as part of that 10k? God I hate ambiguous specs and advertising. Inquiring minds want to know!

It could also be the case that they've just not had time to modify all the presets to their new library structure and more will surface later or maybe they used up their budget for the conversions and won't pony up more until they see some sales or they knew that by shortchanging the presets we'd unintentionally open a vortex on the Internet by chasing our tails about it and then Arturia could use the spin to generate sales and open a wormhole directly to France saving them airline fees that they could then reinvest in management bonuses.

Does the lower number of presets in AL5 apply if you own the v8 suite as opposed to only AL5? Just wondering if Arturia is rebalancing AL5 so you get 'bonus' presets when you own the synths or suite.

I just upgraded my v6 to v7, still making payments... feeling like a chump. $299 for v8 upgrade. Probably won't see a discount till I have made all payments

Figured it out. Things are laid out a little differently in the current version of Waves Central. Here's how to move licenses from USB to C drive to move from C drive to USB just select appropriate connected source & targets.

I am replacing my hard drive and want to move my Waves licenses from the hard drive to a USB stick. I thought the previous Waves Central software let you move license directly between devices - not seeing that now. Am I missing something?

Check you Kilohearts accounts - looks like they dropped prices

I was thinking about picking up Phase Plant (got everything else) and decided to check my Kilohearts account and noticed that the price had dropped from BF. I just added it to my collection for $42.54 by upgrading to Ultimate, https://kilohearts.com/products/kilohearts_toolbox#ultimate When I last checked BF prices the the other day the best price I could get was $70.70 and this even beats last year's best price of $67.28.

I just picked it up and so far (with all of 2 minutes playing around) I'm impressed. It seems to have the warmth & vibrancy of my old Albino VST that for some reason is missing in so many other soft synths. Hopefully I'll continue to be impressed as I use it more.

and for Mac >> Version 14 Version 14 is a big update, however the main reason for a major update is a change in system requirements. 32-bit plugins on macOS are no longer supported from V14 and the minimal macOS version is 10.9. There are no changes on Windows platform. There are no known relevant backwards compatibility problems, so updating in the middle of a project should be safe.

I picked up the Samsung 2 TB drive earlier yesterday. If you're talking price the 4 & 8TB versions - they're still more expensive than 2X the next step down. i.e. something like $99 for 1TB, $199 for 2TB, $534 (now, I think they was in the mid $400s yesterday) or so for 4TB. I don't think the demand for those models is enough yet (though I wish it was) to cause a significant price drop. Edit (misread) risk of waiting is that they might run out of stock. I was comparing Newegg against Amazon for various models and most on Newegg are now either out or backordered.
