No, the log file was not open during scanning. Ran a complete scan again - after deleting the log files, resetting the VSTs and rebooting. Got the same TTSLogger error 3 times with these: 460: c:\audio\vst64\64main\Arturia\Stage-73 V.dll 1433: c:\audio\vst64\64main\Versilian Studios\BassRec_Win\BassRec_32B.dll 2384: c:\program files\common files\vst3\Spectre.vst3 One thing that I noticed is that all of these have 'dupes' that are scanned. Stage-73 V.dll / Stage-73 V.vst3 BassRec_32B.dll / BassRec_64B.dll Spectre.vst3 / Spectre.dll On my system I normally prevent having duplicates of this kind by having such counter parts placed in folders not scanned by Cakewalk. So Stage-73 V.dll , BassRec_32B.dll and Spectre.dll (2 of the 3 throwing that error) would not normally have been scanned. At some point I'll clean this up and do another total rescan to see if the error still happens, and later add the folder not scanned which hold the 32bit plugs with 64 bits version and 64bit plugs that have VST3 version and rescan to see what happens. But probably not today as a complete rescan of my 2,000+ plugins (without dupes) takes something like 2 plus hours with the current settings. Note: other than the TTSLogger error the whole scanning process when through smoothly with no other hiccups. VstScanLogs.zip

At least on my system Multiphonics CV-1's max size comes to1915x1303 pixels (including side panels). You can put as many modules as will fit into the black module area.

There's no way that this in intentional as it makes no business sense. I think you guys have hit upon a glitch in their website which will be gone as soon as they realize the goof. AAS has always given us fair deals and great service. Not to mention the yearly XMas present.

Something to look into.. Check if you're using OneDrive and if so if your documents folder is backed up by OneDrive. If this is the case make sure that you right click on the Celemony folder and set to 'Always keep on this device' otherwise Melodyne's cache has to get redownloaded everytime you load a project using it. Since I use OneDrive on across several different system I don't set the whole Documents folder to 'Always keep on this device' (otherwise I would) but I try to make sure that any audio related folders are set in this manner as a lot of plugin keep their presets & other data in the Documents folder.

I set ExceptionHandlingSeverity=7 and did a complete VST rescan. Might not be related but I had this error popping up a couple of times. Each time it pops up the scanning stops until I click OK, then the scanning resumes. Got the TTSLogger popup at least 3 times (might have been a 4th time that I missed capturing the info for) for the following: Steinberg\VST Classics 1\Model-E.dll Versilian Studios Bass Recorder (inst) BassRec_32B.dll Wavesfactory's Spectre.vst3 All of these appear to have scanned successfully. They are listed in the VstScan.log and load in Cakewalk. Don't know if it's a factor but I've got a crap load of plugins

"The VST3 spec has been around for 10 years, and adoption was relatively slow because VST 2.4 worked well. But during those 10 years, manufacturers have refined their code and, by and large, worked out any bugs so VST3 plug-ins are at least as reliable as their VST 2.4 equivalents." Almost choked on my coffee reading that... Many developers are still having issues with their VST3 plugins... for example the last time i checked u-he website was still recommending using the VST2 versions if possible. From u-he's color ColourCopy User Guide: "IMPORTANT: Cubase has a preference “suspend VST3 plug-in processing when no audio signals are received” which cuts off FREEZE after a few seconds unless you keep sending audio or MIDI. The same option also silences normal regenerating delays after a short while. If you are using VST3 and your host includes such an option, either disable it or load Colour Copy in a format other than VST3 (e.g. VST2)!" While the VST3 spec has redeeming features its deployment was a pure marketing move by Steinberg to gain a marketing edge. The VST3 spec was sprung on the development community without their feedback, didn't leverage on the VST2 spec so you virtually had to start from scratch to create your VST3 version, and on the day Steinberg announced the VST3 spec they had all their VST3 versions ready & available for sale. It was 'hey here's then new VST spec - It's VST 3! and oh all off our stuff is now VST3 will only use VST3 format plugins!' In spite of the way VST3 is and has been handled I feel that at this point VST3 is the standard and should be fully supported - but not to the exclusion of VST2.

https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products/unfiltered_audio_silo.html I've checked out the demos, not hearing anything that screams to me that it needs to be mine. Of course YMMV and maybe you're having kittens just hearing the demos. Me, I'm passing for now.

PA Announce Gigperformer 4 to be released in June

"PA Announce Gigperformer 4 to be released in June" Actually that's GigPerformer's update announcement. Maybe I missed it but I haven't seen a word from PA about GP4. -
I like Sonokinetic's stuff. 40% off on the Watchmaker https://www.sonokinetic.net/products/instruments/thewatchmaker/ comes to €17.94 The extra 10% it adds to the discount (40% to 50% to 60%) not only makes it a freebie when combined with one of the €249 or €299 libs but reduces the price of those libs lower than if you had left the Watchmaker out. They'll probably catch on at some point and eliminate the Watchmaker as a deal item...

So... your East West went South? I guess I'll hold off updating...

Thanks, look interesting.. From web page: What is it? This tube preamp emulation has been developed Philipp Bulling as a thesis work. Philipp has been offering the plugin in VST format for some time on his own website. He has now moved on to new areas for some time already but didn’t want to let down his users. Hence, DDMF took over the code and will continue to offer the plugin as freeware, with the intent to further improve it and maybe add some more bells and whistles in the future.

New Features & Improvements: Up to 7 times more processing power with the new multicore engine that processes each band on a separate core. New DSP workload meter that displays the DSP activity and CPU load. Added MIDI control support (MIDI CC messages) for Next and Previous Preset commands, with MIDI learn. Reduced time to load the MB-7 Mixer or any built-in plug-in. Multiple DSP performance improvements. Level meters and spectrum analyzers are not updated anymore when the user interface is closed, reducing CPU usage. Reduced the number of threads used by the plug-in. Improved global and preset settings window loading time on Windows. Added ability to select the plug-in to load when a shell plug-in file is dragged and dropped onto a slot. Full unicode support. Preset files can now be dropped onto the preset LCD area to be loaded. Native Apple M1 version available as a preview. Fixes: Fixed host loop end value not properly passed to hosted plug-ins, for the VST2 version. Fixed several crashes upon load for multiple third party plug-ins (mostly VST3). Fixed MIDI control for hosted plug-ins not always working when fed with silence. Fixed VST3 (and sometimes VST) version freezing Ableton Live upon save on Windows. Fixed harmonizer and Pitch Shifter built-in plug-ins that did not always flush their buffer upon bypass (short sounds could be heard when getting out of bypass)

For those who will ask: Please note, you must own the full version of Cthulhu to make use of the chord progression presets.

I don't know the details so I can't comment on specifics but they may be good reasons for wanting to maintain a separate identity. I try to keep my day gig and audio related interests and endeavors isolated. I lost a major IT job a couple of years back with a new tech company because the investor backing the firm felt with my involvement in audio that I didn't have enough commitment to the field.
