    still on sale at PB

Edit: I picked it up. No issues with installing it, or authorizing it - using Win 11 and BitDefender A/V.
BTW I always run my plugins on a minihost** first to authorize them as opposed to trying to do that within a DAW, saves me a lot of grief/hassel.

**such as SaviHost, ImageLine's MiniHost, etc. there a number of free ones available.

Could have saved $5 if I had remembered Kirean's post.
I just checked and it's still on sale.

  2. UAD announces 12 Days of sales - ends Nov 24th.

    https://www.uaudio.com/uad-plugins.html

Various bundle offers such as buy 3, get 3 etc. (so 6 plugins for $399)
Individual plugs seem to be at same price as last week.  No new coupons in my cart.
And with the bundles still no active discounts for plugins that you already have/own.  :(

Have they reimbursed all those they owed when they went bankrupt yet?

Don't know if they did or didn't but generally people/companies go through bankruptcy to avoid paying what they owe......

Edit: Some info  ROLI - Wikipedia
Looks like they had roughly $39 million in initial investments that got bought for $6 million after bankruptcy.
So their initial VC investors maybe got back upto 15 cents on the dollar if my lousy math is right, probably less.

Yup. Does anyone know if I upgrade to Kontakt 7 hot mess, if I can still keep my Kontakt 6 and 5 installed and viable?

Aging Win 10 system from 2013.

So cool that kontakt 7 seems required for any newer libraries. What an Apple move.

Installing Kontakt 7 does not affect other installed versions of Kontakt.

Guess if NI will do their Xmas/New Year 50% off sale this year, then this will be excluded?

Doesn't the usually happen in the summer?
IIRC while they have holiday deals the real deals happen during their summer sale.

  8. Overloud's website is back up but still having some issues - for example support page is still broken (can't submit support tickets) and every page change forces you to accept cookies.

    Extremely irrating.

The SuperCabinet is included for free into the TH-U Premium license, or can be can purchased the SuperCabinet as an individual product. In this case, it comes with the following TH-U models:

    • Rig Player
    • Darkface '65 - Amp (based on an American Twin*)
    • Rock '75 - Amp (based on a British 800)
    • Modern CH3 - Amp (Recto)
    • 1x12 Clst UK - Cabinet
    • 2x12 OB Darkface '65 (US) - Cabinet
    • 4x12 Modern (US) - Cabinet
    • SDrive One - Distortion Pedal
    • D-Delay
    • D-Reverb
    • CHR-2
    • Parametric EQ
    • Noise Gate

SuperCabinet is included in version 1.4 & later of TH-U Premium but not as a stand-alone - you have to add it to your gear chain to access it which IMHO is lame.

  9. One change is now it shows upfront what iLok installs you have (computer, dongle, etc.) and you can easily deactivate the duplicates (yay!).
Not sure what else has changed but now it says there are updates available for ALL my Softube plugins.

  10. I got same email but for a different plugin.

Harrison iLok offer for existing users

    FREE Mastering EQ iLok Upgrade

Harrison has recently become a part of the Solid State Logic community. We're thrilled to merge the finest of Nashville and Oxford to create exceptional new production resources for musicians, producers, and sound engineers.

Problem is that I used different email accounts for SSL & Harrison.
Harrison doesn't give you the iLok code when to purchase your free replacemnt so I guess I'd need to somehow log into the SSL download manager with credentials for another account (my Harrison credentials).

Waaay too much work for a plugin I wrote off ages ago.

  11. Seems like UA turned off the upgrade deals where your past purchases gave you further discounts when they killed the $14 coupon combos.
I suspect they were experimenting with different marketing schemes (or maybe just needed a short-term revenue boost).
I'm hoping that they come up with some enticing BF deals for the new plugin versions that just hit (yes I know that technically they're on sale now) or otherwise like someone suggested I'll just wait.

did a clear winner emerge among Voltage Modular, VCV Rack, Softube Modular, something else?

You're leaving out a number of others - for example AAS MULTIPHONICS CV-2u-he Bazille, Madrona Labs KaivoReason Studios Complex-1 and even NI Reaktor 6
Some are closed systems, some have 3rd party support, some (like Reaktor) have a large user base and a crapload of stuff like patches & modules (Reaktor Blocks) available.
I don't think there is a clear winner but you might have some clear preferences.

I personally went with VM because (at the time I checked it out)

    • It's seamed more open (in terms of 3rd party modules)
    • Low cost of entry, low cost of adding 3rd party modules.

If I was just now buying into modular now not sure what route I'd take.
I still might go the same route or being a u-he fanboy I might just go the Bazille route, but there's plenty of options.
Owning Reaktor (as part of Komplete) and with the wealth of free resources available it might have made the most sense to go that direction.

Your homework assignment @mister_tea is to study ALL to options and report back on your personal preferences.
See you in a couple of weeks if not months.

they that that mosaic tape which i really liked. right up my alley sondwise. but i think i will just wait for a better deal. please i keep thinking that NI partner sale was much better prices . maybe i am wrong.

Yes NI deal was better for a lot of their library.
IIRC the NI sale bottomed out at 50% discount and it didn't include Fury and had the same (or close) pricing for NOVO, FORZO, VENTO.
(If my memory is wrong don't be embarrassed to call me out)
