In Product Manager, look under the ToneX Collections tab. All empty?

For ToneX I expected the collections to show up individually in the IKM Product manager like they do when you buy an individual collection (as when I bought the MESA/Boogie collection) instead the 9 signature collections are all bundled within the 'Signature Collections Vol 1"
So it turns out that I did get the Tonex items - but the Product Manager should've made that clear.

I've got all the T-RackS 6 Max items as well.  They are installed, but in the IK Product Manager only the Lurssen Mastering EQ shows up under T-RackS 6 Max .  The other items don't show up anywhere in the Product Manager - confusing as hell.

And further analysis shows that I got all the Pianoverse stuff as the Product Manager shows I have Pianoverse MAX  - don't have them installed at the moment because diskspace (30 GB of hard disk space required for each piano title).  Why they don't show this (the individual 9 pianos) under Pianoverse MAX in their Product Manager is a mystery.

I didn't have the AmpliTube Morley Collection but IKM provided me with a code and now it's there.
Again the IKM Product Manager does not refer to this in the same manner i.e. "AmpliTube Morley Collection" that it is referred to on their website or in AmpliTube.

I love their stuff but IKM really needs to update their product manager.

    Total Studio 5 Max.
Well, I got it, as I didn’t have the Pianoverse grands (except one) nor the upgrade to T-Racks 6 or the Lurssen EQ.
Still a pretty fine collection, all in all.

    I got it yesterday and...
    Ba dum tish
    missing almost everything new.

The additional Tonex collections do show up in Tonex just not in IK Multimedia Product Manager.
Opened a support ticket with IKM.

That is so weird, as I was going through them and looked for Paramore and there was nothing there, can't believe I come on here and read this 30 minutes later!

But as I got curious, I found this site where you can download all artists in one download:

    https://gtptabs.com/tabs/16/paramore.html

The individual files don't have the artist name as part of the file, but luckily MacOS lets you append text to a selection of files so just done that and all good!

    In the link above I found songs/artists not in my collection (like the Beatles), I got it a while ago and I'm assuming it's the same collection; maybe they're just organized differently;
on the other hand the ones at the website below match exactly with what I already have in my zipped file.

If you guys are interested in downloading a bunch (and I mean a BUNCH) of free gp files, they are available here

Scroll down the page about half way, and you'll find a download link for each letter of the alphabet (either rar or zip), and one folder called "Other" at the end.

Oh, and did I mention free?

I really like the fact that there are ratings (1 - 5 red picks) beside the files on the gtptabs site.

Low ratings don't necessarily mean bad, just less popular.
Sometimes they're alternate versions e.g. acoustic (unplugged?) vs electric; or are just 'played' differently.
though sometimes they are just crappier versions.
IMHO the disk space saved doesn't warrant the effort to preclean; I'd rather wait until I check out the song then decide which are worth keeping.

  5. I won't install a verb plugin nowadays unless I can test it and it knocks my socks off.  I've got too many nice verbs and a couple of great ones and way too many OK or not so OK ones that I'll never actually use.
I spent about 20 minutes experimenting with Equinox and decided to pass.
YMMV - maybe it's the cat's pajamas on your system.

How do we actually download this one?

In the past after purchasing a plugin it's added to my account and shows up in the PA Installation Manager.  But this one does not show up there and it's not clear how to add it to my licenses.

You need to use the PA Installation Manager app, then run the standalone app to activate it - at that point it'll show up in your web account.

Just note that these won't be updated in the future.  I shy away from freebies just for freebie sake that are end-of-life.

On the other hand, you won't have an update cause the plugin to not be found in project and losing its settings in the process.
Can't tell you how many times I've had that happen.

A significant number of the plugins in any of our collections are past EOL but we don't know it as it is often never announced.
If the economy goes south at some point that number may jump up significantly as many developers go under.

I am trying (note italics) to get in the habit of always bouncing any tracks involving plugins before closing/saving a project.
That way if the next time I reopen a project and a plugin fails to load I have the option to fall back and use the bounced track as either a reference or a replacement.

Price is better at JRR shop anyway because IKM changed the tiers on JamPoints, you have to be at the $100 tier to use 30% off, so a purchase like this is only going to be 10% off when they allow it.

    per https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/jampoints/
"You can redeem your JamPoints™ at any time while shopping in the IK Store or the Custom Shop to save up to 15% on items $/€99.99 and under, and up to 30% on items $/€100 and over."

So you can use 4 JamPoint if purchasing at IKM, still it was slightly cheaper at JRR.

    I've grown to like iLok.

There are downsides to machine activation as well.  It triggers hardware changes.  Some have gotten it right.

There is really no such thing as offline anymore.  You still have t go online for some reason.  The days are gone when you bought software on a CD, entered the serial number and done.

I hated the iLok until the motherboard unexpectantly died on my audio computer and I ended up replacing the machine.
I had my iLok plugins running on the same day I installed the OS on my new machine, it was weeks before I finished installing all the rest.

Could someone please send a copy of this to Sonnox, to shame them into finally providing machine based licensing for the Oxford Inflator?

You're joking right?  It already does.

As shown it can be activated on an iLok2 (or higher), machine, or Cloud.

It you're referring to the incorrect thread title "Slate Ditches the iLok!" listen to the video in the OP.
The video doesn't say that Slate has ditched iLok, only that it added the option for computer activation (and added option for 2nd activation).

can we have both at the same time ?

UAD is no longer supports  iLok cloud.
iLok machine and iLok dongle are still supported. Once you deactivate/reactivate your plugin you'll have 3 activations instead of 2.
