  1. Melodyne, Hornet SongKey, and others. Just do a web search. For mixed down audio sources your success rate may vary.,
  2. I had a similar issue a while back when I would open Kontakt instruments GUI's. The UI would slow way down and the audio would start to stutter. After analyzing it with Resplendent LatencyMon I found it was my Nvidia video card and/or driver. I use the built in Video or an AMD video card and things have worked better. I would suggest using LatencyMon to see if there are any issues it can find
  3. My assumption from what you posted is that you want the audio to be time adjusted to be more consistent? If so then the below are some ways to adjust the audio's tempo. If you just want to know the audios temp then the drag into the timeline should give you that information. However, it won't change the audio at all just make Cakewalk's tempo and metronome follow closer to the audio track. ------------------------- Dragging the audio to the timeline creates a tempo map that matches the original dragged audio. If you want the audio to match a different temp you have to edit the audio to match the desired tempo. You can edit with audio snap, http://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=AudioSnap.01.html You can have the audio automatically stretch to tempo by enabling groove clip looping for the audio clip. http://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Looping.09.html Or you can chop up the audio where it is needing timing changes and time stretch or move each audio event to match the desired temp. Then select all clips and bound to clip.
  4. Is the track you are recording to different from the imported audio track? Make sure you do not have the imported track armed for recording. Would also help if you mentioned what audio interface/sound card you are using and the driver (ASIO, WASAPI, etc.)
  5. This sounds more like a problem with the project right at that point. Dropouts due to CPU load tend to be more random and not in the same place all the time. Do some experiments like, enable ripple edit and move everything down the timeline a good 10 measures or so. Does it still drop out at the same time or at the same place in the music? Save a copy of your project to a new location, make sure to check copy project audio. Does it still happen in that newly saved project? If it does, start removing tracks one at a time to see if you can narrow down what might be causing it other then effects. I know this can be frustrating. Computers and software can be complicate things.
  6. Seems to me that you should pick whatever mic you like and then get a wind/pop filter to fit it. There are literally hundreds of pop filters to choose from. If its to avoid pop and plosives from your voice then I would get one that clips on your mic stand like If you want one to protect from wind as well then something like this.
  7. Cakewalk does not have built in splitter like Studio one does. There are some channel tools that do this and some plug-ins can do this, Melda for example, or you may have to split your stereo track to apply different affects to L vs R signal.
  8. You will need to show where your VST paths are pointing and where your VSTs are installed.
  9. At the end of the subscription do you get to keep the last version of Sonar, just without update or does it just stop working:?
  10. You can also measure your latency by routing the output of a track with a metronome or other transient type of signal out one of your interfaces outputs and looping it back to an input and record that input. The time between the output track transient and when it gets recorded is the time you can enter into the "manual offset" in your 4th settings screenshot.
  11. Adding a snapshot does create an envelope. It puts a node on the automation envelope for the snapshotted parameter. https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Automation.15.html
  12. Maybe make sure the track input midi channel is set to Omni so it will accept all midi channels.
  13. EZdrummer just takes one midi track with all the drums. Then, in the UI interface you route the individual drum mics out to separate audio channels. You could have separate midi tracks for each drum part but then you would have to route all the midi tracks to an instance of EZdrummer.
  14. Have you run Resplendence LatencyMon to check what processes or drivers might be causing the delays? Even the faster computer system can have glitches if there is some other software or driver hogging the CPU. I had a machine with a specific graphics card that would cause pops and clicks anytime a plugins UI was showing. I used latency mon to track it down to the video driver. Switched video cards and no more clicks. https://www.resplendence.com/latencymon
  15. https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.18.html
  16. You could try https://nerds.de/en/loopbe1.html. There are probably others as well. Just do a google search. Cakewalk/Sonar doesn't provide virtual midi ports on your OS by itself.
  17. Try a different buffer size setting. I have had plugins that do funny things with specific buffer sizes
