Such is the serial nature of the forum. Maybe we need a new section just for updates.

Sounds like something articulation Maps would be good at. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=EditingMIDI.51.html- 7 replies

Is there DC voltage coming out of the rectification stage? (should be present across the electrolytic capacitor, if present)

Sounds like CPU shortage, but it’s not.
Promidi replied to Mark Bastable's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Some software insists on an ASIO compatible driver to work. A driver wrapper takes your existing sound card drivers and puts them into an ASIO environment. This means that you can use your existing sound card in applications that insist on using ASIO. Most professional audio interfaces come with their own native ASIO drivers. The only time you would want to use ASIO4ALL is when software insists on an ASIO compatible driver to work and your audio interface does not come with its own native ASIO drivers. -

This does indeed come with it's own ASIO driver. I use the 2nd generation variant. Rock solid here. If you get a new one, it should be the 3rd generation variant. One thing to note. If you do choose this unit, you might want to consider using the BETA drivers as the release notes specifically mention Cakewalk by Bandlab. Addictive Drums 2 causing Cakewalk to crash from exception
Promidi replied to bde.Anders Madsen's question in Q&A
What audio interface are you using? Does it come with native ASIO drivers. If so, then use that and completely uninstall ASIO4ALL. If you’re using onboard sound, still ditch ASIO4ALL and use WASAPI Shared driver mode. -

Addictive Drums 2 causing Cakewalk to crash from exception
Promidi replied to bde.Anders Madsen's question in Q&A
I just inserted an Addictive Drums 2 SIT and it did not crash here. I also opened a previous project that uses Addictive Drums 2 for its percussion. This is on a machine configured as per my signature. There must be something particular to your set up that is causing this. Can you give us more information? -

Details - the relevant thing is that it’s a wrapper, not a driver. -
Don't you hate it when that happens.....

Have you contacted either NI or AAS about this issue?

ASIO4ALL is simply a wrapper for WASAPI. 44.1/24 with 11.6 is fine and your system should handle that. What you might light to try is uninstall ASIO4ALL and then head to Preferences | Audio | Playback and Recording and set you driver mode to WASAPI Shared I had a look on the website for the Alesis i02 Express and the driver it offers is ASIO4ALL. Personally, I would have on my agenda eventually ditching that unit and getting an audio interface that comes with its own native ASIO drivers. I have my setup as per my signature and I do not get any “digital distortion and fluffing” what so ever. -

Can you give us some detailed information about your system? OS,CPU, RAM, HDD (and type) Audio interface, bit depth, sample rate, buffer size, driver mode? Latest drivers installed (using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates) What else have you tried so far? -
The tempo list is now in the inspector (Which your image is actually showing)

CAL - Select every othe midi note no matter the pitch?
Promidi replied to sadicus's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
One command that I know will categorically crash Cakewalk by Bandlab is the Editslide and Editslide40 command. Therefore if you wish to move the temporal position of a MIDI event, you have to directly edit the Event.Time parameter instead of the above commands. There are some behavioural differences in some commands as well. For instance, in CbB, An EditPaste or EditPaste40 command, without arguments, will perform the paste unconditionally, without a dialogue box. In earlier versions, An EditPaste or EditPaste40 command without arguments will bring up a dialogue box. Adding parameters to these particular (paste cut copy) commands in CbB can result in a crash. Also, any CAL scripts that use time parameters will only work correctly is your Preferences | Project | Clock > Ticks per quarter note is set to 960. Any other value will result in CAL commands that have time arguments not being executed correctly. For instance, the Insert command won't place the event at the specified time. You just have to be aware of these idiosyncrasies when writing CAL scripts for CbB. -
Within 24 hours of sending AAS a support email, I received a reply with the hotfixes for all of their synths. On my system (configured as per signature), Chromophone 3.1.0 Hotfix 1 VST3 allowed me to load multiple instances in CbB 2021.4.Build 170. Prior to this hotfix (Chromophone 3.1.0), I was unable to do this (Even through jBridge) It should be noted that, on my system, the links pointed to on my first post in this thread are still pre hotfix. That is with the FF cache cleared.

On the Focusrite Beta drivers page there is a Beta driver for the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. The latest BETA driver is version is 4.87.4 In the notes for this version, Cakewalk by Bandlab is specifically mentioned: “Fixed an issue that could cause a crash in Cakewalk by Bandlab” Maybe give these a go This is at http://beta.focusrite.com/ (CTRL + F > "Focusrite USB2 Drivers 4.87.4" without quotes)
-
I also received a (non canned) reply regarding the multiple instances in Cakewalk issue. So AAS are definitely looking into it.
-
I have found this also. If, after coping your MIDI clip, you open the paste dialogue , then select "Paste as new clips" before pasting, the resultant clip will not be shortened.
-
Has anyone actually sent an email off to AAS support? (I have)

No forward and back-and-forth in plugin

This requires full Kontakt. (The only instrument that works with the free Kontakt Player is SampleTekk Black, that comes with a license)
