  1. I have had this exact USB to MIDI converter for many years to drive a Yamaha SW1000XG (circa 1999) card via its 5 pin din connectors This has worked flawlessly since - with every iteration of Cakewalk up to CbB 2012, Build 102 The audio out of the SW1000XG is connected to my mixer via two of the Mixers channels (Two mono channels for stereo out). If I want, I can also route this signal back into Cakewalk via a Focusrite 2i2 inputs. Remember, the USB to MIDI converter carries data only. If the audio out of the Korg is not connected to anything (mixer or amp), you will not hear anything. Of course, you need to make sure the MIDI receive channel of the Korg matches the channel that your MIDI events are transmitted on.
  2. I also get the same result as the OP However, a workaround I have found it to bind SHIFT+END to the following CAL Script: (do (= Thru End) ) This works even if the PRV has focus and does not select tracks not in focus. Granted, not ideal as you have to have at least one note selected for this to work.
  3. I have never used Windows Defender and stuck with a third party solution. Good to see you go it up and running.
  4. Exactly which build is your windows 10 For instance, mine is specifically 21H1 build 19043.1415 You have not said whether you have done the updates. Did the machine come with Windows 10 pre-installed or did you do the installation yourself from scratch. I have had Windows 10 since mid 2017, and I have never had these installation issues with any program at all on my Windows 10 PC. Something is definitely janky with that install.
  5. That could be the ticket. I know that with Windows local networks, if the times on the connected PCs are off, relative to eachother, by a certain temporal amount, the P_Cs will not talk to each other.
  6. I stopped using Bandlab Assistant ages ago... I this instead. One suggestion of you have not done this already. After starting your win 10 PC but before installing Cakewalk by Bandlab did you: Performed all Windows 10 updates? Update all of your hardware drivers (using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates)?

    How to never dock

You cannot. A feature request is perhaps in order https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/8-feedback-loop/
  8. To do this requires you go into the Windows registry. This is risky if you’re not familiar with editing the registry. You answer indicates that you are not familiar with editing the registry at all. I therefore recommend that you get someone, who knows exactly what they are doing, to perform Scook’s recommended solution.
  9. We are going to need much more information. (see my signature for some of what is required) Also, just to be clear, Are you talking about Cakewalk by Bandlab 2021.12 Build 103?

  11. Forecast high of 33’C (91.4°F) here today ......
  12. I use Patch Changes events to external devices (A Yamaha SW1000XG) all the time - no issues here. You might want to check the user guide for you foot pedal, (Page 10 and 11 I think). I suspect bank needs to be zero and the Patch numbers need to correspond to the numbers mentioned in the foot controller’s user guide Reading the manual, you would want to know which mode the foot controller is in: Classic Mode or Chord Mode as the Program Change numbers are different for each mode. Note: I do not own the Whammy 5 External Foot Pedal, but I am just going be the user guide. https://www.digitech.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-masterCatalog_Harman/default/dw18aa3ac1/pdfs/Whammy_OM_EN.pdf
  13. Same here. I opened the file , moved the NOW pointer to where the MIDI bass notes start and I heard a bass sound coming from TTS. Took 5 seconds. As bdickens stated, we need more information.
  14. Does the same issue happen with the latest Cakewalk by Bandlab?
  15. A single diagram that shows the following. Which track(s) route(s) to which bus. Which track(s) route(s) to an Aux track. Were sends are being send to. What effects are on which tracks/busses/aux tracks, Where MIDI data is being routed to. Where synth's MIDI outs are going. etc See where I am coming from? (Feel free to ignore if it's ever implemented)...
  16. Yes, Chromophone 3 can be a bit of a CPU hog One thing you might like to do with Chromophone 3 is to to reduce the Mode Density on the resonators. The caveat there, however, is you are going to lose some of the high end crispness on some of the sounds....
  17. While I have never does this, I do have my content in two non default locations - one for Sampletank 3 and the other for Sampletank 4. I am wondering what would happen if you move the folders as defined in your Sampletank and Syntronik configuration to your new drive. Then do a database scan in both Sampletank and Syntronik. In my Sampletank 4, my specific content location is as follows: "S:\Sampletank 4" "D:\Content\Sampletank 3" Say I wanted to move the "D:\Content\Sampletank 3" folder to the S: drive. I would move the entire "D:\Content\Sampletank 3" folder to the S: drive so I end up with "S:\Sampletank 3" (complete with content) After the move has been completed, I believe I would go into both Sampletank and Syntronik configuration and change the "D:\Content\Sampletank 3" entry to "S:\Sampletank 3". Then do a rescan. Of course, if you ever install more content, keep an eye on the install location of that content to make sure it actually matches. As I said, I have never actually done this, but this is what I would do if I ever had to. Someone who has actually done a content move might have a different method and can chime in.
  18. 1) A visual routing diagram for a given project. 2) The ability to rename controllers in the PRV as they appear in the Track Pane. (Currently, this is only possible globally, not per instrument)
  19. Updating to Windows 11 would be less painful than replacing entirely new hardware. Simply take a backup (preferably image) , then upgrade. Personally I would deactivate any iLok products pre upgrade. Then reactivate post upgrade.
  20. Your next more would be to locate your “ST4_AcPiano_Samples_Part_6.zip” file (That you’ve hopefully backed up somewhere) On option is to extract the files therein to a folder. Then run the “Install SampleTank 4 Sound Content.exe” ,making sure you select the correct destination (The error message should give you the clue here). Another option is this. In the zip file, there is the folder “SampleTank 4 Sound Content”. Drill down to the folder until eventually you’ll get to the actual “C Grand Close Mics Sustain 1.pak.” file. Manually copy that file to the location specified in the error message. Then open up ST4 and do a database scan (Settings | Sound Content > Rescan All) I have been using Sampletank for quite a while now and I have yet to encounter missing sounds.
  21. With all iterations of ST4, Sampletank has always been able to find all C7 Close Mic'd presets. I went from 4.13, to 4.15 then to 4.16 (I intentionally skipped 4.14) Still, the update is still recommend for other reasons. If the 4.16 update does not resolve the issue, is the "C Grand Close Mics Sustain 1.pak” file actually present in the folder specified in the error message? On my system, this specific file is exactly 3.28 GB (3,525,319,061 bytes)
  22. I might be wrong on this, but I think this happens when there is an update to the library. Yes, it should appear under updates, but I seem to remember a version number in the actual LABS file structure incrementing upon installing a currently installed LABS library.
  23. ST4.16. Just loaded C7 Grand Close Mic. All good here. Have you tried reinstalling ST4_AcPiano_Samples_Part_6.zip. This is the exact file that contains the C “Grand Close Mics Sustain 1.pak” file. This is on Sampletank 4 Max.
  24. And so did the space on my hard drive....
  25. For Shipwreck Piano, it specifically states that it requires 4.14 or above. Do you happen to remember which version of Sampletank 4 you had when Shipwreck Piano produced silence? For a while, due to another issue (which I did report to IK support and they acknowledged) with some patches , I had to stick with 4.13 until that issue was resolved. Once 4.15 came out and I updated, I was able to use the later libraries (Shipwreck Piano being one of them).
