  1. If that works, then run with it. I do not use the staff view to edit notes. All of my MIDI note editing is in the Piano Roll View.
  2. According to https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk the Minimum System Requirements for Cakewalk by BandLab is Windows 8.1 or higher (64-bit only) Version 2022.02 might work on Windows 7, but it's not a supported operating system. If you run into issues and you contact Cakewalk support and you’re still on 7, they will likely tell you to upgrade to a supported operating system (like Windows 8.1 or above) You really should consider upgrading to Windows 10 as many other programs also will not run on Windows 7.
  3. Not really. What you might like to try is this. After you have recorded your base MIDI notes, move the playback cursor to the start of your first note. Then go Menu | Set measure/beat at Now and enter a measure number and beat number (Probably a number nearest to nearest measure) Note: you need to enter beat 1 to be on the measure, not 0 Then select the next note where you want to next measure to start and move the playback cursor to that note. Then go Menu | Set measure/beat at Now and enter the next measure number and beat number The tempo will adjust to match and as you do this, your played piece will align to measures One thing you may start to realise it that at the end of the day, time signatures is not really that important.... as long as some notes align to measures. Also, that alignment does not even need to be exact.

    Keying latentcy

My PC is configured as per my signature and I do not have any noticeable key delay. We need more information (Like what David has asked for above)
  5. You are asking about tempo, yet you mention a time signature as an example. Both those parameters are global for the project at a given time-stamp. However you can change these parameters anywhere in a project. I am assuming you can see the transport module. This displays the tempo and the time signature at a given time. See: (figure 298: item O and P) http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=ControlBar.06.html
  6. I tried this with Addictive Drum 2. I configured AD2 with multiple outs enabled. those outputs were configured to send to an Aux track (under in/out) I selected all tracks along with the Aux track. I saved all selected tracks as a Track Template. I recalled the Track Template in a new blank project. I was able to play AD2 from that Drum track. The final audio was coming from the Aux Track, which itself was sent to the Master bus. This is on a system configured as per my signature (Note: 2022.2 ER 27 is out but I have not installed that yet) I know that probably does not help much other that to confirm the functionality in the latest Cakewalk by Bandlab (with AD2 at least).
  7. What do you do that causes your "Cakewalk.exe File not found." error to appear. On a standard Cakewalk by Bandlab installation “Cakewalk.exe” exists in the “C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core”folder. This is the file that is executed when Cakewalk by Bandlab runs. This file should be placed there along with the folder upon a successful installation of Cakewalk by Bandlab Did your installation complete successfully?
  8. I concur. Some plugins deem a hard drive change to be seen as a new PC and deactivate themselves. I had this issue with I cloned my system drive and Addictive Drums 2. A simple reactivation of the plugin should sort this.
  9. On the very first release, the Long Brasses had a slight, but noticeable detuning effect - especially after the NOTE OFF events (on the releases). When I did the update, the brasses just sounded better to my ears....
  10. As per title. Use Spitfire Audio software to update. IMHO a vast improvement to the initial release...
  11. I have never seen Spitfire's $29 priced products on sale either.... they are already a great price IMHO
  12. Hell yeah!
  13. Not really sure. Maybe try the Focusrite Beta driver as its notes specifically mentions Cakewalk by Bandlab. This can be found on beta.focusrite.com (CTRL + F "Focusrite USB2 Drivers 4.87.4")
  14. 1. I think so. Mine was a different situation to I can not say from experience. I just checked a recent image file and all partitions show up in there. 2. I just used an image file to an external TB USB drive and restored from that.. 3. Yes, that was my experience. I just had to reactivate this and that. 4. I used O&O DiskImage Pro and EaseUS Partition Master. There are others. As I converted from Legacy to UEFI BIOS there were more things I had to do - like convert the system drive from MBT to GTP, create the UEFI partition. It looks like you won't have to worry about that as the image should already contain these. What ever you choose, make sure it can create a bootable CD to run from
  15. When I needed to change my system drive, I used imagining software do do this. There are many on the market. I used software that lets you create a bootable CD containing the imagining software. Then I booted to that CD to do the transfer between drives. As a precaution, I deactivated all software iLok plugins before the transfer and then reactivated them when Windows booted with the new drive. I also had to reactivate some plugns (XLN, IKM, etc) and software (Magix stuff, etc) that are tied to the hardware. Good luck.
  16. I have had this issue when a project or a template has a corrupted screenset therein. Do you have a default template that has screensets that may be corrupted? Maybe try renaming your default Project template and then opening CbB. Of course, I am assuming that your windows and hardware drivers are up to date.
  17. CPU was released in 2012 . You have 6 gig ram (5.6 gig)..... for a CbB that may be a bit of a squeeze. What audio interface are you using? What driver mode are you using? ASIO is preferred if you have a USB Audio interface, WASAPI if using onboard) What tuning have you done on this PC and Windows (with a PC this old, this would be more important) For this PC, maybe buffer size if 512 is the lowest you can go without pops and clicks. Personally, I think your solution is to upgrade your PC.
  18. There are plenty of third party VSTs that can do that.
  19. What are your full PC specs?
  20. Personally I treat keybindings as global - regardless of loaded workspace. Any custom workspace I use, I disable its ability the save or retrieve Keybindings from those workspaces.
  21. I have way too many custom keybindings to restore mine from scratch.

    Full Installer request

Maybe drop a note Cakewalk support here: https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000025633
  23. What happens if you rename the TTSSEQ.ini, AUD,ini and Cakewalk.ini files and then start Cakewalk? You might want to do the TTSSEQ.ini file first to see if it’s that. These files are in the following folders %AppData%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\ You might want to uninstall the RTPMidi plugin first.
  24. You don’t really give us much to go on... That being said, I use IK stuff all the time and I do not get crashes. I am assuming you have updated your IKM plugins to their respective latest versions. Also, try the VST2 variants The fact that IK plugins are also crashing Cubase 11 Pro indicates its not a Cakewalk issue (and Cakewalk support will probably tell you that). I am assuming you have also contacted IKM Support.
  25. My answer is the same.
