  1. The behaviour you are seeing is documented in the Cakewalk by Bandlab user guide (page 1688 of the latest pdf) “Marker names are based on the imported file name, and are numbered sequentially”. If you wish to put in a feature request that CUE markers retain their stored names themselves, you can do so here. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/8-feedback-loop/
  2. As a test, I imported a WAV file with embedded Cue marker Created with Goldwave 6.36. They were, indeed, imported into Cakewalk by Bandlab as markers. I did not have to do anything special in Cakewalk by Bandlab other than make sure the setting was selected in preferences. So, on my system (configured as per my signature.), the feature does work as intended. The wave file I imported was 44.1 kHz 16 bits Stereo that had embbed cue markers. There might be something about your wave file that Cakewalk is borking at.

    Cakewalk will not open

What happens if you go to the "%appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core" folder and rename the AUD.INI file, then attempt to start Cakewalk by Bandlab? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your hardware drivers (Not just for your Audio interface). Do this using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates. While you’re at it, you might as well check you are using the latest versions.
  4. If after trying the VST2 (if one exists) version, and this issue persists, you might want to start a new thread. Maybe make a title like "CbB project with IOTA mini vst3 closes immediately)
  5. So do I. Currently I use CAL scripts to convert Channel aftertouch to Key aftertouch.
  6. Yes, but some soft synths do respond to poly aftertouch.....

    Can't activate account

Send an email to support@cakewalk.com and they will sort this for you.
  8. MIDI is simply a stream of digital instructions telling a device (in this case, your Korg pa900) what notes to play (as well as changing other parameters) What you might want to do is see if the pa900 can respond to patch change commands. You might need to check your pa900 user guide and look for the MIDI implementation chart. In there, it might tell you want patch change command corresponds to the patch that you need that MIDI track to play. Then either: Insert the required patch change command in the MIDI track before any occurrence of notes. (I use the event view list for this) or Set the MIDI track’s patch and bank number to match the patch change command that recalls the patch that you need the Korg to play An instrument definition (*.ins) file might be handy as well if you are able to locate one.
  9. Probably unlikely.... If they are DX plugins, then no. If they are 32bit VST then probably - but I would not recommend it - best to try and keep all plugins 64 bit - for stability. It’s very possible that Cakewalk by Bandlab comes with an equivalent of the plugins you’re after... Which specific plugins?
  10. Until the bakers change this (which could be while), with the smart tool selected, the controller lane hidden, and a controller type selected, Hold down CTRL + ALT while drawing.

    Please help!

I was able to enter some drum hits for a 4 on the floor beat in the Piano Roll View for 1 measure. Converted the MIDI clip into a groove clip. Then I extended that clip out to 408 measure . I ended up with 408 measures of that beat.(and I could have added more) How exactly are you extending/adding the beats?

    Why can I not save?

Looks like a Windows permissions issue Try running Cakewalk as administrator....
  13. My new year’s resolution is 7680 × 4320
  14. If you are feeing a little adventurous, and can edit text files, you may be able to edit the UVI Multi files (They are standard text files with a uviws extension), to replace occurrences of "World Suite.ufs" with “World Suite 2.ufs” on a backup uviws file. I have not tried this, so I cannot tell you if it would work or not. You would have to experiment.
  15. Ah yeah, that's a point. Keep WS1 installed while you change the projects over to WS2. Then uninstall WS2
  16. Replaces. When I purchased WS2, I uninstalled WS1. All of the WS1 content is in WS2
  17. Note: Full retail version of Kontakt 5.8.1 or later required.
  18. I was also on NI1.4 and FM8 still showed 1.4.4 I bit the bullet and succumbed to NI3.01. Then all updates showed (Massive X had one as well) I did configure the NTKDaemonService service to only start when NI starts (and stops it when NI is exited) (Used AutoHotKey for this)
  19. Sounds like you need a new bank..... Is this what you are after? https://www.jrrshop.com/mastering-the-mix-reso
  20. Now I am hoping for 1.4.7. Changes: Added: Scalable interface....
  21. My humble suggestion is to not use Omni , but rather specific MIDI channels instead. I use a 16 part multitimbral external synth where each part responds to MIDI channel 1 to 16 respectively. I configure 16 tracks, one for each part. What I do is set each MIDI track to its specific MIDI channels , not “none” as they are when you first create them. Then I can simply drag the MIDI clips to the destination tracks. When I do this, the MIDI channels of the events remain the same. When MIDI tracks are set to specific MIDI channels, those specific MIDI channels override any MIDI channels that the individual events are set to.
  22. I have never had that happen. Mind you, I run Cakewalk with an account that has administrative privileges You might want to post a new thread for visibility. Make the title meaningful like “Manage and Save Workspaces greyed out”
