Yes, Guitars and Basses use instrument cables which are TS(mono) cables which should be connected by the left (mono) input on the recording interface, (record on input 1 L) this is normal, if you try to use the interface a stereo input with a mono signal you will only get audio in one side of you audio output. if you use one speaker it won't be a problem. The only way to get a stereo signal from a guitar would be to record it with 2 microphones recording the output from an amp/cabinet or you can find vst's that can convert mono signals to stereo signals or duplicate the track in your daw and have it double mono and hard pan left and right.

Some of them are really great, some of them are useful, some of them are a bit dodgy, all of them are buggy when first released, they beta test them as released, so 5 versions are released in the first week, all of them are ridiculously cheap with the sales, all of them have demos. Ok, so I have the interface on screen, you insert it beneath an instrument track on another instrument track, it won't show on the mixer, but when inserting check the "synth property page" & synth track view", Midi Cap is now accessed from the synth rack, but it doesn't record, it is stationary?

edit; works fine in Reaper, but has slightly better functionality in Cubase, it has a CLAP version. Does Cakewalk support CLAP ? Thanks

Has anyone managed to successfully integrate Birds Midi Cap in Cakewalk? Tried the adding Directshow trick to audio file configuration, no joy, keeps showing as not compatible because of Directshow? half works in Reaper, works perfectly in Cubase, would like to get it working in Cakewalk. Thanks.
