Both Gran Vista and Carbon have now been updated to support GUI modifications in CbB 2021.04, or more specifically the addition of a Tempo tab in the Inspector pane. As a consequence, all Inspector tabs have been resized in order to make room. This addition has also made all existing themes incompatible with CbB versions earlier than 2021.04, which mean s that you should not install any of these themes until you have installed CbB 2021.04 EA or later.
The themes can be downloaded from the links supplied in the first post. There you will also find a link to the release history.

Sure, I'm working on it this very moment. Won't be long now.

Soothing. There are only small variations to the main theme but yet it feels constantly evolving and never repetitive. The recurring base note gives this piece its unique character. I really liked it. As for details, maybe the water at the end flows a little bit too fast to be consistent with the overall serenity.
Just my two öre.

You do know that plug-ins will not have keyboard focus unless you activate the keyboard icon in the upper right corner of the VST window? That’s the one with the tooltip “Give All Keystrokes to Plug-in”.

Mission impossible.

Beautiful song. The lyrics were poetic and very touching. As for details, maybe the fade-out should have been just a little bit slower.

I had the exact same problem and it turned out to be caused by having my MIDI keyboard also set up as an MIDI Control Surface. That apparently stopped the keys from being animated in the PRV, as explained in this thread by @msmcleod .

I strongly suspect the Cakewalk Elves who live inside this DAW and can be very mean to novice users.
Well, there aren’t that many elves found outside Middle-earth anymore, but one of these DAW elves actually whispered to me that she was scared because you have a user name spelled with all capital letters, indicating shouting, and because of that this timid creature was afraid to help you. So they are certainly not evil, just restrained.
Anyway, in this particular case you have to change the Track Control Layout (widget) filter located directly below the Track View menu from FX to either All or I/O in order to see the Input/Output drop-downs for each Track.

This reminds me of a thread in the old Cakewalk forum where a particular sound library made for UVI Workstation by a third-party vendor was found to increase the .cwp file size with some 13MB for each instance of that library loaded into UVI Workstation. It might indicate that there's a specific plug-in or library in your affected projects that make the size of the project increase the way it does. Maybe you can create a new project and add the plug-ins and/or libraries that you have in one of your affected projects one by one, save and then check the file size until you have possibly found a suspect? Below is a link to the thread I mentioned.

You didn't see my answer?
You have probably enabled GUI throttle mode. If so, disable it by pressing the Pause/Break key and CbB will move the Now Time marker smoothly at normal speed yet again.

Does it have continuity?
I see now that you posted a similar thread in November under your previous user name. Not much has changed since then, I guess. Not even with regard to CbB.

C'mon, seriously. Nothing in life is certain. You can at best make an educated guess. That's what I do.

Where should I ask?
I don’t think this question needs to be asked yet again as nothing really has officially changed since the first announcement made by the current owner Kuok Meng Ru more than three years ago, but in case you want to see for yourself you can look at the first official statement:

You’re definitely asking this question in the wrong part of the Cakewalk forum. In the Deals forum you will find a lot of people that doesn’t use Cakewalk by BandLab, so you can expect many of the comments to reflect just that. But in short, your question has been asked many, many times before when the concept of Cakewalk by BandLab was first presented and the answer has always been an unreserved Yes from the owner.

Hi! I'm new to Cakewalk and not an English speaker.
You don’t say what your native language is, but in case it’s Spanish or Italian you might find some basic Cakewalk tutorials here:

Check if the notes in your MIDI file are located within the playable key range of your selected instrument. Some instruments like Timpani or Childrens Choirs are only mapped over a small section of the keyboard (C1-C3 and C3-C5 respectively). That would be easy to detect by looking at the keyboard at the bottom of UVI Workstation (or UVI Falcon if that’s what you’re using). If the MIDI notes only hit grey keys, you would know that’s the issue and you would have to transpose.
If no keys are pressed, I would check the MIDI channel and make sure that the MIDI file transmits on the same MIDI channel as UVI Workstation receives.
Edit: I assume that you have indeed connected your imported MIDI track to UVI Orchestral Suite. Otherwise that would be the first thing to do, by inserting an instrument track with an instance of Orchestral Suite and then make sure the output of your MIDI track is routed to that instrument track. Sorry if I’m stating the obvious.

Actually it's the opposite. If they write the Library to be able to be used in the FREE Player, then they
have to pay MORE to Native Instruments, therefore not many will pay that extra for Player Compatibility!I think the amount a developer has to pay to NI for having a Kontakt library available to Kontakt Player is just over $20 for each sold item. My guess is based on information at RealiTone who sells the Full Kontakt version of RealiVox Blue for $149.95 and the Kontakt Player version for $169.95. And they say:
QuoteAnd we actually charge you less than what we pay them [Native Instruments]. ‘Cause we’re cool like dat!
I might add that RealiTone currently have a deal selling the Full Kontakt version of RealiVox Blue for $99.95 and the Kontakt Player version for $119.95. Also, the Full Kontakt version of RealiVox Ladies is currently sold for $199.95 (regular price $300) and the Kontakt Player version for $219.95 (regular price $320).

Hi all. I am looking for an instrument definition file (.INS) for a Yamaha S90ES. If anyone knows where I can find one it would be most appreciated. Thanks!
There seems to be an .ins file for the Yamaha S90ES at the link below (along with a dozen or so other Yamaha keyboards). I don't have that keyboard myself though so I haven't tested it.

I spend way too much time dragging the scroll bars around in the Piano Roll just trying to find the notes I want to edit.
Indeed.
This has been one of my most sought after features for many years; a command in the PRV that makes it easy to quickly zoom in all MIDI content. As for the existing "Fit MIDI content" menu command, it only works vertically. When it works, that is. Consistency has unfortunately never been a particularly prominent feature of SONAR and CbB, but it sure would be nice if the same shortcut keys (F and Shift+F) would perform the same fit operation in both Track View and Piano Roll View.
This has been requested a number times both in the old and in the current forum, but it just doesn’t seem to happen. Below is one of those feature requests from almost five years ago.

Still, should one say “neef” or “k-neef” ...
Because you asked so politely: just guessing, but I'm pretty sure it’s pronounced with an audible K.
The reason being that it’s based on a hardware synth by the Finnish designer Jonte Knif, I would assume that his last name is an old soldier name meaning Knife in Swedish (Knif being old spelling, nowadays spelled Kniv). It was common in the 18th and 19th century that soldiers had nom-de-guerre in France and that custom was also carried over to Sweden and Finland.
As you were.

Is it perhaps the Kontakt instruments that go silent? If so, might it be that Preferences > Project > MIDI | Zero Controllers When Play Stops is activated? A lot of Kontakt instruments respond by going quiet.
