Behringer use real ASIO drivers for all but their cheapest interfaces. Here's a screenshot of my own Behringer UMC404HD Control Panel. Take note of the logo.

Same here. Although I do have my own custom template, I’ve made it my default so I just press Ctrl+N whenever I want to create a new project. I never go through the Start Screen. Guess it was the puzzle-solving that intrigued me.

For the first time ever, I got a message from 8DIO saying that some of their instruments have got an update in the last few months. As awkward as it may seem, there’s normally no way of telling what version is the latest even if you go into your 8DIO account. Anyway, this might be one small step in the right direction.
The instruments they mention are these:
- The New Century Solo Brass - Solo Trombone v1 (June 24)
- The Bible of Salsa Volume 3 v1.1 (June 24)
- Ostinato Woodwinds Volume 2 v1.3 (June 18)
- Studio Percussion Orchestral v1.1 (June 18)
- The New Solo Taiko v1.1 (June 18)
- Hybrid Tools NEO v1.1 (June 2)
- Ostinato Woodwinds Volume 1 v1.1 (May 4)
- Century Ostinato Strings Chapter II - Advanced Patterns v1.1 (April 27)
- Anthology Strings v1.3 (April 23)
- Liberis Angelic Choir v2.1 (April 21)
Oh, well. I only got two of these and my internet connection could be worse.

In a recent post Glenn Stanton described a solution where you can use any icon you want in a template without having to include magic words in the file name. After adding the image you simply save as a normal project and then change the file extension to cwt. I tried it out and it seems to work flawlessly. See his post here:

@winkpain @Syphus so, in re-reviewing this, you save the template source file (with image, copyrights, etc) as "normal" in the "project template folder". this is a .cwp file in the template folder at this point. then rename the file as .cwt. now the template file has the image in the header section of the file (which is what needs to be read from the start screen display) as well as embedded in the file notes.
Yes, thank you! That was it! Just for fun I created a couple of templates and added some images from the Rapture Pro thumbnails folder. The result looks better than the default icon, I would say.

Recently Meteor and now Asteroid. Am I beginning to see a pattern here? I guess the next one will be called Comet.

Take note that this is the old UVI Retro Organs that UVI hasn’t sold since 2015 when the current UVI Retro Organ Suite was released. Also, take note that the SoundCloud examples on the JRRShop page actually references the instrument UVI Mello (Mellotron). Oh, well.

Version history is empty...
The release history of Lead is included in the pdf linked to in the Gran Vista & Carbon theme thread, but of course I should have added a link in this thread as well. I have now expanded and restructured that document a bit to make its dual nature more obvious and also added a link in the OP of this thread. Enjoy!

Me too. I plan to stay with it [1909] as long as possible given it's rock-solid stability.
Windows 10 1909 reached the end of servicing on May 11, 2021 and won’t receive security updates after that (link). I had 1909 on my old ThinkPad and saw no option but to try to update to 20H2 as suggested. It succeeded on the second attempt last week.

Maybe bandlab can add a bpm tapper to cakewalk. Now I always have to open my browser to do so.
Go to Project > Insert Tempo Change and tap that big button called “Click here to tap tempo”.

Interesting . That’s the first sound pack ever for Lounge Lizard. I never thought I’d see one. And it’s not even visible at AAS' site yet.

The grid resolution is determined by your Snap settings. You now seem to have Snap set to 1/8 Note so if you change that to for instance 1/16 or 1/32 in the Snap module, the grid lines will display accordingly.
Extra, extra! Read all about it! https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=ControlBar.05.html

Just checking in case its some sort of HACK although they dont seem to store credit cards in your account ..
A week ago I also received a strange mail confirming a purchase I did in 2018, but the day after 8DIO support sent out a new mail saying the first mail had been sent out by mistake due to a system update.
QuoteWe also owe you a sincere apology. Some of you may have received emails confirming old purchases today. These were automated and sent in error. We are working very hard to resolve this issue as fast as possible. Rest assured you have not been charged for another purchase, and your account is still secure.

UVI has just made 3.0.21 available for Windows as well in UVI Portal.
I can't find any release notes, but one thing that I'm sure of is that a bug in the Windows version of 3.0.20 has been fixed. Each time you changed presets in UVI Workstation 3.0.20 there was a pretty annoying Windows system message sound being heard. I just downloaded and installed 3.0.21 and the annoying sound is definitely no more.

OK thank you. I hope the other themes like 'Lead" get updated as well..
Your wait is over. Lead has now been updated to 2021.04 build 175, and that goes for Gran Vista and Carbon as well. Enjoy!
-
A modification made to 2021.04 build 175 rendered the buttons in the Meter/Key view practically invisible in dark custom themes. This has now been fixed in the theme Lead. See below, before and after.
The theme can be downloaded from the links supplied in the first post. There you will also find a link to the release history.

Owning the Modelling Collection, I upgraded to Chromaphone 3, Ultra Analog VA-3 and String Studio VS-3 late last year and paid $39 for each upgrade, or a total of $117. And now five months later I could apparently have got them all, as well as Multiphonics CV-1, for $69. Nice move, AAS. But of course, most people will notice the business model and never bother to upgrade anything AAS until some rock-bottom sale eventually comes along. It might be sooner than you’d think.
Maybe AAS is making their money on sound packs and are selling their synths for petty cash just to keep that market going. Just like razors and razor blades.

Maybe you don't know how the DAW+VEP works?
No, sorry. I’m using Kontakt almost exclusively. Great that you got it working.

This also does not work if the CbBL window is out of focus, i.e. the window of Vienna is opened as a host, not a plug-in.
That should come as no surprise. If Vienna is run as a stand-alone executable and has focus, of course it will receive all keystrokes. That's how every Windows application works.
3 minutes ago, Vyacheslav said:If the CbBL window is active, the Vienna window is hidden by it and vice versa.
Are you sure you're running Vienna as a VST and not as a stand-alone executable? It shouldn't be possible for CbB to hide a plug-in that has been instantiated from within the application.

Well, neither do Cakewalk. It doesn’t matter whether the VST has focus or not. The only way to have the VST catch a spacebar key-stroke is to enable the option Give All Keystrokes to Plugin-in in the VST window. Otherwise, and of course under the condition that you haven't remapped the spacebar in Preferences > Customization > Keyboard Shortcuts, it will trigger the Play/Pause function in CbB.

I think the response would have been different if you’d actually asked for help trying to solve your specific problems. This is actually a very helpful forum with many knowledgeable people. Even the developers stop by almost daily. Having said that, this is a forum for the Windows application Cakewalk by BandLab (formally SONAR), and not the web based BandLab DAW. It’s sad that you didn’t stay for a bit longer as I’m sure your problems would eventually have been solved. Still, if you would change your mind I'm sure that a lot of people here would help you out.

I have both Insight and Insight 2 but a quick run-through of those versions works as expected on CbB 2021-04 both build 145 and build 147.
Maybe there’s some problem with your Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables?

Thanks, glad you liked it.
As for the T over the W on the Write Automation button (I saw your post pre-edit); as you may have found out, it's not a mishap. It simply indicates which automation mode is currently selected for that track - Touch, Latch or Overwrite. Read more here:
