  1. I looked in both places as well. They don't show up as individual banks in either store to demo. I would be hesitant to buy any soundbanks without at least a listen to a few patches... ? Fyi, while looking, I did run across a free bank for the Buchla synth that I never noticed before!
  2. Ah! I see! I binned all the old ones from before the X-series, except for Sonar 8. which I kept for nostalgia for the pre-Skylight GUI. And if I ever had reason to install one of the old versions. Still have some old disks, LOL! I got Sonar X3 Power on E-book. Takes up very little disk space!
  3. I think 5.4.5 is the latest AL V. I finally got Mello Fi. The download took a while to show up in ASC, even after it showed as registered in my account.
  4. Time to break out Waves OVox! ?
  5. Why? At least the Sonar X series is still relevant to Cakewalk as far as the original feature set goes. Did you totally abandon Cakewalk?
  6. Not seeing it. What version did you update to? I'm on Analog Lab V 5.4.5.1834.
  7. All Pigments upgrades have been free to existing owners. The upgrade will appear in your Arturia Software Center. The Triad deal should appear in "My account" on the website.
  8. Downloads >>> https://www.arturia.com/products/analog-classics/energy-triad-bundle/resources
  9. Energy Triad Bundle is $29.99 for existing Pigments owners. Look for crossgrade deals in "My account" online. Bundle included free with first time purchase of Pigments.
  10. That's just one of those features that should have a dedicated button.
  11. Surge is one of those classic soft synths, that appeared in the golden age of soft synths back in the mid-2000's. Alongside other names such as Rhino, Vanguard, Wusikstation, and z3ta+. So it is definitely dated, but the synth engine under the hood probably deserves a little respect. I agree that the interface could use an update, and hopefully the new open source caretakers will move in that direction. It's been a while since I opened it up myself, as the interface is just not that inspiring to me compared to the dozens of other synths in my kit. Not that you cannot make some great sounds with Surge, but it is a bit more difficult to stay engaged and inspired by the interface. It would just require a bit more patience. And since Surge is free, there is no risk of buyer's remorse.
  12. Udemy is a great learning resource, as is Groove3. You can usually find interesting courses on Udemy that are a bit more in-depth, and less expensive than Groove3 if they cover your musical education needs. But Groove3 seems to have a broader scope of information and more titles regarding current music software.
  13. Wait no longer. It's baaaaack! ?
  14. I agree. I would say 3 people is a very small company...
  15. Only hitch in that is there will no longer be any humanity left to sell plugins to! Just a sign that says "Final Waves Sale!".
  16. Waves will be the last company standing when the world ends.
  17. Toontrack needs to make an EZdrrrrrrr expansion.
  18. I wouldn't upgrade my DAW to Windows 11 just yet, unless I had a good image backup. The easiest fix if things go sideways is to fall back.
  19. I usually try demos first now, and if they pass the first cut, there's rarely buyers remorse these days.
  20. That's quite likely true, but is it also demand driven by the now free Cakewalk by BandLab and first time DAW users seeking answers? There are some good YouTube videos for Cakewalk out there, but IMO those only supplement a good printed guide when you are trying to learn a specific technique. But Cakewalk's PDF reference guide is now an unholy 1880 pages! ? Fine when you know what you are looking for! But for getting started?
