Mid-60's and soggy in the Carolina's foothills...

So what are you waiting for?

I have a usable GeForce in my current DAW PC, but I don't want to clutter it up with game files, or the added temptation for distraction. I get enough of that from this forum, LOL! But my old PC is used mainly for infotainment, and is still running Win 7, and has a Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge Four-Core 3.4GHz, 16GB of RAM, and a Geforce GTX 950. Most games from over 5 years ago, or earlier, are very playable at 1080P with that setup. There is still quite a good inexpensive (and sometimes free) selection of those older games of the year from years past, especially at GOG.

Thank the Gulf Stream ocean current for that!

Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hated having to run each individual installer manually...

I only used Studio One for this example, as it is the only DAW/host that I have with an internal Performance Monitor that displays CPU use on a per-plugin basis. I'm not sure I would describe it as actually "balancing", as that implies a bit more active processing. Each instance of Chromaphone simply took a separate core. I believe the same happens in Cakewalk, but you have to reference it using Windows Task Manager showing each core activity to scope it out.

Caldecott Music Group is now the Parent Company for Bandlab
abacab replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
It looks to me like BandLab (and Cakewalk) are in good hands! -
I also guess that you missed the hint not to discuss politics in this thread... ?

That's actually a misconception! We made taxable contributions to the SSA trust fund for our entire working lives. So it's actually supposed to be a retirement fund payout, and not a government free money giveaway. Sorry to veer off-topic, but if in doubt, PM me and I will share the facts. End of discussion here...

Yep, I grabbed it at 62 myself. Didn't trust the .gov to manage my contributions any longer than required!

@cclarryHappy Birthday, junior!

Apparently. All of the presets used were from the Chromaphone 3 collection, so assumed to be dual layer, which was the intent. I watched the Windows Task Manager, as well as the S1 Performance monitor, as I added the instances And it appeared to increment 1:1.

LOL, I thought about posting that topic here. But I was conflicted: 1. I would have beat Larry for once... 2. I thought it was a bit off-topic, even for deals... But thank you Larry for sharing this with the crowd that never ventures into the Coffee House! -
Epic - yet another required game "launcher". SMH. ? I already have several game launchers/stores installed on my gaming/media PC, including Steam, Origin, Ubisoft, & GOG Galaxy... At least GOG Galaxy is totally optional. GOG games are the only ones that ever touch my DAW PC, sans Galaxy. Of course that way they have no launcher, and no copy protection! No auto updates, and easily removed!

Nope!
