Another Great track. I Really liked the Wah and the build up near the end. Everything came together nice and powerful. With so much going on with all the guitar tracks , you probably can't use much reverb or any at all on the guitars (??), but sometimes I think "some" on select lead parts only when they come forward in a mix would enhance the feel sonically. As wild as you play sometimes you still sound reserved and tamed . I guess it's a sign of a seasoned player. Enjoyed it .. mark

Can you get by with using the "gain" knobs for the midi tracks as a work until the problem is sorted out ?

Very cool and experimental sounding. I agree with Wookie about the piano. EQ wise it could mesh better with the vocals. I think a little silence at the beginning before the song starts is also in order. Very creative , I Really enjoyed it .. mark

@Wookiee I checked it out "Watching the Black" You should Really sing more .. You've got that Pink Floyd thing going on.. mark

Cool song Keith. I Like the steel drums . I think the reverb on the 2nd mix sounds good for the backing vocals. I think the delay was overdone on the main vocals. They seem to have gotten pushed back too far in the mix. I think it would sound better with a cleaner reverb and pushing them more to the front of the mix. Have a Great trip ! Now would be a good time for a sun burn. Tip one up for the rest of us. mark

Thanks for your suggestions. I made some minor volume changes on the guitars and organ. I'm not sure if I've made enough difference yet .. I'm Really missing the main melody line of the not included vocals. I think I'm going to try and cover it with a cello. It's suppose to be the instrument closest to a human voice. Might work , might not.. May take awhile. The link now reflects the changes. Thank You for listening and responding .. mark

I Liked this song when you posted it 5 or 6 months ago .. when it was already Finished and "for sale". I liked seeing you respond to other peoples works and hoped it would continue but , I also liked it on the Studio 1 forum , the DAW where this song was actually made.. The only responses were Yours with Constant bumps. You are burning bridges. I hope it's worth the $0.75 to buy it or $.0038 for a stream . You are a Super Talented musician but you're not playing fair. I Really wanted to let this go but You won't.. ms

@DeeringAmps @Bajan Blue I'm revisiting the mix. Are you specifically referring to the lead guitar coming in at 1:11 or anything trying to carry a melody playing against the left acoustic ? Trip to the dentist today. Major reconstructive work starting next week so .. this "is" for sure staying an instrumental . Thanks .. mark

Hello to all. Here's a new one , and an instrumental for now .. I think I've got the basic tracks down . I would appreciate any suggestions for improvement. I made some volume changes on the guitars in this mix . I have now added a mandolin track and a short cello section after the intro. I traded an early verse for an extended fade and am happy with the mix for now. Thanks for your time and input. Treesha , Cool ! I'm really liking the high end stuff in this one. I like the 007 feel and dark changes as well. Very well done. For some reason I was wanting to hear some Muslim call to prayer type vocals in some select parts.. Enjoyed it .. mark

Gary , I think the intro sounds much better. Seems some EQ fixed it. You've got the vocals sitting Nice , and the interaction of the main vox and harmony is Perfect. They sound So much tighter and pitched Extremely well with each other. Guitars are Nice and smooth . The main lead break is Awesome. 3rd listen and I can't find "anything" I would change. I'm on a laptop with headphones, so I can't get critical at all about tone , but it sounds Great to me. I think they'll really like this one when you are happy.. mark

Check out the free HaNon B70 also. I'm using it now on a second song. To me it sounds better than the Azr-3 I've also used. Either one of these free B3's is Way better than TTS. mark

Sounding Good. Great guitar work ! Gary , these are my first impressions for mix 4. (1) I missed the low end stuff (instruments not fx) in the start of the intro.. (2) I believe the main vocals need boosting , mainly in the verses , choruses are better but still slightly low. (3) I thought the harmony vocal was panned too far out to the right. (4) The lead guitar is coming in pretty "hot" . May be helped with the vox boost ?? Anyway , Great start . Really liking this band .. mark

Great Job ! You nailed that chugging rhythm guitar and drums. I thought is was Very true to the original especially the intro. I thought some of the backing vocals were a little dry and maybe just a tiny bit too forward in the mix in a few spots. Enjoyed it .. mark

I like the power of this track and the way it's wide open from the intro. All of the players sound Very talented , I especially liked the Nashville style lead work. Very Nice mix and master ! The lead singer sounds like she's spent a lot of time outside of Norway , if not she sure has perfected that US southern accent. Loved it .. Great job .. mark

Lee , I think this is "by far" your best work. I can't believe how relaxing and smooth it is given the subject matter. You have created a Great convincing song from the heart . Loved the vocals and especially the harmony parts at the outro. I'm wondering how you pulled off the pedal steel sounding track ? Thanks for sharing this . I truly hope you feel better soon .. spring is here , that always makes me feel better. mark
