  1. Philip , Very nice mix , I really liked the vocal doubling . It was impressive how smooth everything was , sounded like a polished radio mix. I Really enjoyed it. mark
  2. Very nice production , I echo everyone's comments about your wonderful Silky voice. Enjoy your getaway .. mark
  3. Perfect production from the beginning to the end ! My pit bull "Sukie" is leaning on me and also enjoyed it .. mark
  4. This is now one of my favorites. I Loved the haunting guitar. I agree with Larry about the lead guitar, I think there is just a little too much contrast between the two. Maybe a little different effect complimenting the main guitar. Vocals were spot on and I like the way you waited before bringing in the harmony part about half way in. I Loved the tone of the main guitar if you don't mind , what did you use for it .. Loved it .. mark
  5. Really cool stuff here Jack , and a Very nice mixing job. Enjoyed it .. mark
  6. Note: Clicking the link in the original post will automatically download the BandLab Assistant to your pc. ms
  7. Rex , Wonderful vocals. There's some Really nice harmony's thru the entire song. Great job holding the notes out on such a slow bpm song. Enjoyed it .. mark
  8. Usually resetting the workspace to "none" (even if it's checked) , corrects any UI issues that I've had , even if I accidentally create my own problem. Save project and it's back to normal next time I open it . MS
  9. Beautiful .. You get my vote . Good Luck .. mark
  10. Very Cool and Creative. I especially liked the "froggy" parts. I don't see how you come up this stuff. Great .. mark
  11. You've got a great groove going here. I'd pull out a few of the high synth 2 note parts and try to come up with a repeating chorus hook. I can hear some great melody lines that would work well in this . Nice .. mark
  12. I Liked it and hope to hear a remix. This would also be a nice vocal song .. mark
  13. Esther , Wonderful instrumentation and Vocals. I am "just now" learning to Trust a mono mix , and if a part doesn't cut thru the well enough , try a little different eq. To me the vocals seem a little thick without the highs that put a little "air" in them. Beautiful song .. mark
  14. Great old movie , I've seen it on Svengoolie. I thought it was Very creative using it for a song. Everything was tight and powerful. Narration was perfect. Fantastic job ! mark
  15. To @bjornpdx @Andrew Rhodes @daryl1968 @Larry T. @antler @steve@baselines.com @Douglas Kirby "Thank You" So much for responding with your wonderful comments. It Really means a lot. The link now reflects a remix. I made a few changes per your suggestions. I did some minor timing changes on the guitars , tedious manual note moving on the bass , worked on the drums , and added a light harmonica track to glue the guitars together a little more. I'm feeling a lot better about it now. Let me know if It needs more work , I've got nothing but time . Thanks .. mark
  16. Great song Douglas ! I'm picking up the feel of one of those hard driving Billy Idol songs. I Loved the treatment and timing of the lead guitar. I don't think I've ever heard a style like that before. Very original . Enjoyed it.. mark
  17. Great year round song Treesha. Very nice vocals , especially the backing. I thought the cellos sounded Fantastic. I once captured voices of someone responding to the lyrics of the song "Moondance" Three of us were sitting in a circle facing each other practicing for an acoustic gig. I boosted the voices and played it back next practice. Every time we practiced that song everyone Stared at each other. Never happened again .. mark
  18. I loved that driving funk groove. Several places a key change would be nice. All midi ? Enjoyed it .. mark
  19. Eric , that was a wonderful tribute .. I'm terribly sorry for your loss. Your playing reflected a lot of different emotions. mark
  20. "Thanks" for the comments to everyone. @Kevin Walsh Thanks I really wasn't sure I could pull this one off. It started as more of a mixing experiment. I'm in "A" but couldn't get Any of the "chicken pickin" stuff done until I capoed up and played in "G". This was my first time trying to use audio snap and I deleted it all. More to learn. @noynekker A Lot of parts didn't blend and were deleted , If I accidently wing something I like , I then have to learn it. @KurtS All the drum loops I used were Kick busy. I just deleted one of them and actually added a single kick on the 1 beat . It calmed things down . I've done a bit more volume and panning automation. I think I knew exactly where it was getting busy. I Always listen to suggestions and act on it. Sometimes I hear it , sometimes I don't until it's pointed out "Thanks" @Paul Bush I Really appreciate you taking time to listen and comment. @jack c. Thanks , I Know you're a funk man ! I'm reworking the mix now but won't repost (or bump it up) until I'm sure everyone who wants to adds more suggestions or weighs in . Later .. mark
  21. Hello , here's a new instrumental I'm Trying to finish up. It's kind of a funk /groove type thing , It's a little sloppy but the more I work on it the worse it gets as far as timing. Individual track volumes have been a little hard for me on this one. 5 guitars in the blender. Any suggestions would be a great help. I'm still unsure about the overall EQ , but this is the first time Ozone had basically nothing to change. "Thank You" for your time and help .. mark
  22. Lynn , the rapture pro stuff was really nice . The vocals were Superb. I Really liked the power you projected and the way you attacked the phrases with conviction. I believe you could be a serious blues singer. I really enjoyed it .. mark
  23. John , Thanks for mentioning that. I've got a TC Helicon Voiceworks that I Never use. Never even thought about using it with guitars. Might even come in handy for some octave up sparkle on acoustic. Harmony timing can be can be randomly offset. May give this a try next song. I totally agree with @bdickens about double tracking. This is by far the best Sounding way. ms
  24. I Really liked the acoustics and the way they were captured and EQd. It was also Very nice the way this song flowed without a drum track. mark
