  1. Great hard driving drum mix. I Really liked the lead swapping and the complementing tonal differences of the guitars. You have a Fantastic vocal range. I didn't notice any breathing sound problems at all. I never read the comments before or during a song that might influence my opinion. There are small mistakes on my own music that drive me Crazy without anyone else mentioning them. Enjoyed it .. mark
  2. Very Nice Freddy, I liked the laid back blues feel of it. I agree with Tom about the guitar verbs , I believe that would increase the depth. Congrats .. Enjoyed it .. mark
  3. Beautiful strings and Nice Clear vocals. I do think the ending was a tiny bit abrupt. You've got a new fan , Enjoyed it .. mark
  4. Open Cakewalk on your offline computer. Click the "help" tab then "offline activation"/export offline activation request. This file is then copied to a flash drive to use on an "online computer" to get the activation file that you transfer back to your "offline computer" Just google Cakewalk by Bandlab offline activation" for exact instructions. You will need Bandlab Assistant or Cakewalk installed on an "online" computer even if you only use it for activation purposes. Might seem a little tricky the first time you do it , but it's Very easy and I never have a problem if I need to reactivate that way.. mark
  5. Steve , I agree with Paul 100%. That was a Fantastic production in every aspect. I Really enjoyed the Beatle ish feel of this especially the basslines. Enjoyed it .. mark
  6. Great lead breaks Barry ! Nothing really stuck out to me as needing much more in the mix. The only thing I would try to change is maybe a little work on the vocal reverb. Maybe just some more pre delay on it. It fits in well with the guitar verbs but seems a little pushed back in the mix (but not volume wise). I was also wanting to hear some harmony on the opening chorus lines but it's fine without it. Great song and performance I Really liked it .. mark
  7. Keith , I Really liked the vocals and the Great guitar tone. You've been hitting a lot of different styles of music lately , and doing Very well with all of them. I believe it was after your "waltz' song I replied you should really try some blues , and I think you did a Fantastic job on this one. I do agree with Bajan Blue about a drum issue but , for me it was the "cymbals" that I thought were lacking. I really think that the crash would sound better on the right side of the mix (if you have control of it) and there were several spots that could sure use a "ride" cymbal. Anyway .. I Really enjoyed it and for sure the guitar work. mark

    The Kraken

Nice and trippy. Excellent drums , I'm assuming that was a real kit , I've never heard a vst that sounded that good. ?? Very nice .. mark
  9. Great job ! Fantastic job on the acoustic , you captured it well. Nice vocals . I thought the fade out was a little short , maybe you've got enough material left to extend it a little ?? Enjoyed it .. mark

    Insomnia

Excellent production ! That sounded like a Very nice clean wide mix. I especially liked the supporting backing vocals coming in about the 3 min mark. Nice video as well. Enjoyed it .. mark
  11. That was one hell of a ride ! Loved it .. mark
  12. Hey , I Really liked the soundscape and drive of this one . It sounds to me like you've got the direction already locked in. Lots of Really cool stuff going on ! It's always an issue for me deciding whether to resolve and slam the ending or do a repeating fade. I believe this one would work either way. Enjoyed it , especially your vocals .. mark
  13. Henrik , If you just want to see the EQ curve of an instrument you are fixing to record - Arm your track and turn the input echo on. Open the pro channel for the track you are using. Use the flyout button (>>) on the EQ module to extend it onto your main screen. It will become quite large and useable. Play your instrument and it will show you input in real time without actually having to record it. You can use the "pin" looking icon to lock the EQ module in place. If you want to play along with your other tracks , when you press "play" the module will disappear unless pinned . mark
  14. Timbo , Great lyrics and a fantastic job presenting them. Seems the battle never ends for any First Nation people. The Lakota Nation here in the US , made national news this morning . They're in an effort to shut down the hate and deceit being spread by outside missionary's on their reservations. It never ends. Enjoyed the song .. mark
  15. Great ! Well written and performed song. I Really liked the drum kit. Nice choice. I enjoyed the Fagen feel . mark
  16. @DeeringAmps @musekamp @Wookiee @johnb Thanks guys for the comments. I'll continue playing with this song , but I'm calling it "done". Now the hard part , what to do next.. Thanks to All of you . mark

Bjorn , I Loved the percussion loops , very nice and clear as was the rest of the mix . I Love Indian music but I am usually confused about my feelings while listening to the songs in this style. Lots of emotions are invoked. I Very much appreciated the emotional response .. Excellent job .. mark
  18. Thanks @Bajan Blue @KSband @markno999 for the further comments. I liked the ping pong delay suggestion but the widening plugin had a little sweeping effect so I'll leave it as is for now. Here is the remix I hope the nylon is better ?? The link at the top now also reflects the Remix.
  19. Hey , Thanks to Everyone for the Great comments and suggestions. I thought I had a remix ready to post , but now want to change the ending . It felt a little rushed. I've made some changes to the nylon guitar bringing it forward and wider using the widening plugin Barry suggested in his new song thread. Amazing result. Hopefully I'll be done with the remix soon . I've got a pretty touchy copy and paste session to do and some further volume/panning automation to finish. Thank You for your time and support , I deeply appreciate it .. mark
  20. Fantastic guitar work! I loved the different feel and tones moving in and out. I now see why your present mixes are so Fantastic and spot on , especially after hearing how you did things 20 years ago. Amazing. Huge fan .. mark
  21. Great job on the Goya. I didn't realize they also made a steel string version. They and You captured a nice clear nylon sound. As far as the shaker goes , with a real one , the first rattles come into play when you first start moving , but the actual "on time beat" is when you quickly Stop and snap your wrist to a dead stop. It seems to me like just about all the Vst's place the instruments sound incorrectly at at the start , instead of the dead stop at the end . It must be hard to program or they would have addressed it by now .. or maybe it's just me .. ? Enjoyed it again .. mark
  22. Hello , here's a simple instrumental I've been working on for Way too long. Having a little Spanish feel , I named it after a long gone horse we used to own. Any help on this one will be appreciated. I've gotten a little too close to it. Thank You .. mark
  23. Great one Barry ! Fantastic vocal quality on this one (as usual). I did feel like the shaker sounded behind the beat. I've always had to move them a little forward , especially if recording the shaker from the metronome section. I absolutely Loved the lead break nylon sounding acoustic. I would really like to know how you captured and processed it. Great Job on a fantastic song . Enjoyed it .. mark
  24. Wookie , that was a Very creative and Highly interesting production. Very nice trippy lyrics. I believe I would try a vocal "whisper" track on top of the vocoder with your Raum Airy reverb. The printed lyrics were a big help but you "might" be able to whisper them. I Really enjoyed it .. mark
