Someone will compare a plugin price to justify it by comparing food. I can get a nice tasting bottle of Caberlet or Merlot for $5 (not a liquor snob at all) and it better for me. Food and fuel prices have easily doubled in America and I'm sure that is affecting the DAW industry relying on hobbyists. I has curbed by GAS spending (not enough) because I had to buy gas.
