  1. I've always felt that Total Studio was the best way to buy IK products. Much better than a group buy, even a 25 for 1. Because when you own a bundle you can upgrade to the next bundle. If you own all the parts of a bundle you can't do that. I think that Larry can back me up on that. 😡 NI comes out with a new Komplete every even numbered year in the fall. IK Multimedia is much slower. I think it took three years from TS2 to TS3. I had to be patient. But I didn't buy when it came out because I was waiting to see if the price would be better during BF. If it wasn't, I was going to wait for 2022. So it's a completely new turn for IK to come out with Total Studio 3.5 MAX. That's like NI suddenly coming out with Komplete 13.5. With Jampoints my price is a hair below $200. This is the first time I will step on the GAS this year. I thought I'd be waiting years for that FAME reverb. It's included and it's still in pre-buy! 😀
  2. I don't know, but it's 99 to go from 3 to 3.5 minus whatever JamPoints you're sitting on.
  3. not even on Eventide site yet.
  4. Remember to only buy one big library at this discount. After you own one Cinematic Studio big library, you get 30% off all the others. I'm not sure if that is the case with the piano or the solo strings, but definitely with the strings, brass and woods. And of course the percussion library will be discounted for CS customers whenever it turns up. What's great about this is there's no "intro price" or time limit. You can buy the other stuff when you want. As far as I know, the Cinematic Studio series has never been discounted at any other time than a few days around BF.
  5. My first BF post was AutoGain Pro. I like the siimplicity of this over the power of MKII. I'll be trying it out on the video I'm working on now.
  6. In the past, my post went crazy in mid-month and then all hell broke loose during Thanksgiving week. But this year I have the feeling that a lot of the sales are starting earlier.
  7. Can you add the $25 voucher to this? Or can you only do one voucher at a time?
  8. I missed this too if anybody else has an unregistered free license.
  9. Anybody use their AutoGain Pro? If it works well, It looks like something I could really use for my videos. I've always been a bit wary of whether this kind of plugin really works. They say it's their most popular product.
  10. I am a big fan of Modwheel's The Lowdown, but they rarely have sales. This started out as a library with a lot of odd bass articulations and noises, and then they updated it with an excellent pizzicato and bowed bass. I really like the sound of the regular bass, and then it comes with all that other stuff. I know these aren’t discounted yet but it’s good to know what the best stuff is https://www.modwheel.co.nz/the-lowdown-v2 This is what I always used until I got Trilian. People on VI:Control rave about Straight Ahead! Bass https://www.straightaheadsamples.com/sa-bass and the Premier Sound Factory Acoustic Bass https://premiersoundfactory.com/acoustic-bass-premier-g/
  11. My goal is to keep so busy doing my sales post that I don't have time to buy anything. It's never worked before, but there's always hope. It is true that over the years I have bought so much crap that the wishlist gets smaller. One thing I'm looking at is the V Collection. I haven't updated mine since 2016, so if the update is $100 I will finally do it.
  12. You've probably mentioned this before, but there's a set of Soundiron instruments that are still 50% off from Halloween. https://pluginfox.co/collections/soundiron/promotion I really like the Theremin. A good price at $9.50 and you can do duets with your kazoo. By the way, you can probably get a real kazoo for less than $6.50. But then you'd have to learn to play it. 😀
  13. Is this an unusually low price for the Captain? Does it often go to half price?
  14. Uh oh. I'll probably upgrade. I hope that Sonuscore (or somebody) does a video demonstrating the 400 new themes, but I really like Elysion and $39 isn't much to get all the new stuff.
  15. Note that if you login at the Output site, you may find a better price for the entire collection, depending on what you own. https://output.com/
  16. God, I really searched for this... I knew you wouldn't miss this, Larry. Sorry... But I think the PluginBoutique price on MSoundfactory may be a mistake and people should jump on it if they want it.
  17. Everything is 50% off in November. One weird thing I discovered while working on my TTF thread. MSoundFactory is listed as $242 on the Melda Site (33% introductory discount) while MSoundFactory LE is half price at $60. But... on PluginBoutique, MSoundfactory sells at half price or $165. A mistake? You can click on my affiliate link HERE.
  18. I actually use the free Panagement a lot. It's really good. What I don't get is that the free version is only lacking a delay and the "sought-after PGMT-400 chip mod" So what's that? In the manual it says: This mod added 6 different algorithm changes to the original PGMT-400 chip. However, as this ancient unit isn't well understood, we're not able to tell precisely what happens there. I'm just wondering what exactly I'll get for this.
  19. Here's why I see "Never on Sale" as an important thing for the rollout of Soundpaint. More than any company I can think of, 8dio has the wackiest pricing. They will sell something for $298 and then it's $198 and then it's $98 and then it's a free gift if you buy something else. Or maybe a freebie altogether. So you always feel precarious whenever you buy anything from them. You can buy something and it might come out for a tenth of that. And they will continue doing that. But Soundpaint is a separate product with its own website. It's made by Troels and the team, but it's not available on 8dio as far as I can tell. I think they are making a point that Soundpaint is not an 8dio product and will not be sold in the same way. Soundpaint will be sold like Vallhalla and Indiginus. No sales ever. Are there other companies like this? I just know of these two. As I understand the Indiginus and Valhalla plan, they could charge twice as much for their products and a lot of people would buy them. But instead of a 50% off sale now and then, the 50% off is year round. And that's why the guitar is $20. Would it still sell if it was $50? You bet! But then if it ever went on sale for $20, some people might feel bad. While you may think that "Never on Sale" is not a selling point, it's a massive issue for anything that comes from 8dio. If you paid $98 for a Soundpaint instrument on 8dio, it might turn up as a freebie later. That absolutely could happen. They're saying it won't and I appreciate that. Even the bundle is no pressure because it only discounts $10. Better to wait and get the things you really want. Another tell is that all 8dio prices end in 8, but these have regular prices like $20. PS I think Soundpaint is awesome.
  20. Yes, but like all other HALion instruments, you can now use all the flexphraser patterns with it.
  21. I love the sound of a duduk so much that I actually bought one. Big mistake. I couldn't get much more than a squawk out of it. Next time I buy a world instrument I'll go online first and find out how easy they are to play.
