  1. I get a 'getmylicense.ca' link, I input the code I got from JRR and it get: 🤬
  2. I'm selling the 18i8 (and the Xenyx 2222 which I used for additional channels) and keeping my old Roland Rubix24 as an interface backup. It only has 2 inputs so it would mostly be for in the box. I'm not upgrading the ADA8200's anytime soon, because something similar is really hard to find (8 channels with ADAT in AND out) and/or is +€2000. I'm in the same boat with my converters, not the best but they will work. Funny you mention meters of cables. I think I'm at 300 meters in total (audio, MIDI, USB, power). I'm still sorting out 1 broken USB cable which is buried somewhere and as I mentioned I have some output interference which I'm not sure how to fix. I use the headphone out from the Digiface (this was recommended by RME support) to a Behringer HD400 to eliminate ground noise to the speakers, but somewhere in the chain there is something.
  3. Trust me, I'm well aware 😅. I used an 18i8 with an ADA8200 for a while. I've put off a major rehaul for a couple of months. But finally last week I made the RME switch. I went for the Digiface and connected 4x ADA8200's. Now I'm sporting 32 inputs. All on a dedicated input in my DAW (which was my goal). It was a cable nightmare. And still is, I'm sorting out some low level ground noise, but I have the feeling I won't be able to cancel it completely.
  4. I had a week off, and it feels like a lifetime. I also switched interfaces which took me 2 days to re-cable EVERYTHING. So I was a bit 'studio tired'. I found out the USB from the MS-20 is not working so I have to dive back 😒. Still some levels to adjust but all in all I'm very happy with the change. I gained a lot of inputs and could ditch the mixer. Enough rambling about my studio, time for some music!
  5. This one always had my interest. Curious to know if it makes a difference. Still very expensive.
  6. I'm using Ableton. Which is also my sequencer so to speak. Nowadays I try to build the track live, by having all the channels just run and using the Novation Control XL to mute, unmute, volume, send, etc. In time I want to use my Push 2 to build the tracks.
  7. Great, just THIS week I switched to an RME interface and was going to sell my 3rd gen. With a 4th gen out there, I reckon the value will drop a bit. Maybe not much, but still, it's not the latest and greatest anymore.
  8. I didn't see the option to install the content for the piano elsewhere, so I didn't bother to install it. I have piano's, a lot. I'm sure this one won't be missed.

    Waves Sale!

Perhaps I missed it, but is this the first time Clarity VX is also 29.99?
  10. This worked for me. And I only have the free Polymax.
  11. I've been holding on to this one for a couple of months. First, it's a bit different and youtube doesn't like different. Also, it was my back-up jam for when I was away for the weekend. I just got back from Formula 1, so this fitted the bill. I'm gonna sleep now for a couple of days, enjoy!
  12. Yup, depends on the goal. To me, a 606 and a 303 is hours of freaky acidhouse fun.
  13. You know it's bad when even Larry is getting salty about his own deals 😝
  14. The TD-3 (or the original 303 for that matter because they sadly modeled the sequencer quite close to the original) is clunky to program. So to make it easier, a MIDI keyboard or sequencer is sometimes prefered. Fun fact: the clunkyness of the programming had a heavy influcence on acid as a music style and thus music in general. People started inputting random sequences with accents and glides and pitch etc. which gave rise to some of the most famous acid lines. There are several Max4life devices (for us Ableton users) which outputs random acid lines (free: https://maxforlive.com/library/device/8357/sting-by-iftah-a-really-nice-acid-line-generator). The randomness is basically an emulation of what people did.
  15. I'm not sure this will do anything that StandardClip or KClip cannot do or do better.
  16. And even slightly ontopic because they also have "Pulsar" in their name. But these guys seem to have some hype about them yes, justified or not. The P42 is often regarded as the best saturator on the market. But at $264 I'm not finding out. I could do the trial thingie though.
  17. Hmmm, I wonder how this stacks up against the Prophet 6.
  18. "ARP be back" Excuse the terrible pun, but I couldn't help myself. It's a little bit back to the roots, because my first real experience with the Matriarch was with building beautiful arps. And it didn't disappoint. I consider myself very lucky to do this as a hobby. Hearing those sounds always puts a smile on my face. Hope you have fun as well! #livejam #bigroom #moogmatriarch #moogsub37 #subsequent37 #Edge #behringeredge #arp2600 #behringer #korg #korgms20 #novation #novationpeak #launchcontrol #ableton #livemusic #homerecording #melodictechno #melodichouse #housemusic #music #studio #liveperformance #behringer2600 #TD3 #acidtechno #behringertd3 #livemusic #fromhillrecords #synthesizer
  19. Oh god you are right, they had a go with their own system before going Windows Mobile. Symbian? Man this is all way too long ago when I was working in that industry.
  20. And I believe Nokia missed the boat by going Windows Mobile instead of Android. They never recovered from that. But there could also be other factors at play.
  21. I'm interested in this as well. It's a lot of plugins for which I seem to have alternatives. Is there anything that stands out in this bundle, besides the Windows 98 look?
  22. Analog you say? Here's hoping that Roland will create an ACB version of the Nokia 3310.
  23. Said the Warner executive who will take your AI generated Ed Sheeran song down because he has the copyright.
  24. I'm sorry, I'm out of ideas for titles. But the jam is cool! I look cool too 😝
