  1. Nope, not a bug. Pilot error. Your starting template had a meter change inserted at or around measure 8 and then saved.
  2. This is hilarious (as related to your reply on my Cynical Rant, LOL) in that I attempted on THREE different existing project sessions today to Quick-Group and Freeze with absolutely no luck. And just now, I started a new project with 5 different tracks/instruments... Quick-Grouped them and then CTRL-Freeze, and it worked. Go figure!
  3. I used to provide NI input as an adjunct marketing advisor several years ago, and saw the direction that they were headed in terms of design and implementation. I was not impressed, so decided to stop upgrading after Komplete CE V13 & Kontakt 6. If you spend any time on the NI forum, you will soon see that the recent evolutions in both HW & SW have turned out to be an absolute turd farm. It is a well known issue now that Kontakt 7/KK3.x/Mk3 are extremely slow, even after all sources have been scanned into the DBF. Some "in the know" believe that it is due to the recent implementation of the resizable vector graphics. I'm really glad that I saw that coming and haven't upgraded anything in over a year. I've started to add instruments from any other source because of that. I have scoring templates with 120+ tracks each with individual articulations instituted, then archived until needed using KK as a wrapper (for the NKS VSTi's) and VSL & EW & Spitfire as well. This template loads in about 50 seconds, but I know better than to hit any other key until the cursor stops spinning. And yet, I will occasionally work faster than the machine & slaves can respond, and inadvertently crash the application, tho that is only about once a month. I'm on this thing as a full time gig and have just gotten used to the pitfalls.
  4. It's not a bug. It is within the specified timeslices that the clock rate of your CPU & I/O chipset allows. Even a Cray-3 Vector is not completely instantaneous. Can't break the laws of physics, unfortunately.
  5. I see what you did there... and frankly I don't care. That is not mission critical IMHO.
  6. Well... you know the answer: "The check is in the mail".
  7. There are TWO CTRL keys on most keyboards. Have you completely eliminated the possibility that it may be a sticky/intermittent/failing CTRL key by using the other one in a consistent manner?
  8. @Sheens b, b, b, but wait... my car still won't start! What's wrong?
  9. What you are seeing is called the Inspector view ('I' key)... it only shows the active track that you have selected in the Track View. You will need to add the Console View tab (Alt+2) or <Views><Console View> to the Multidock at the bottom of the screen (or float it to the main or another monitor) using 'D' key. Also see <Help><Keyboard Shortcuts> for more details.
  10. (WARNING; Extreme facetiousness and sarcasm is both expressed and implied) I’m a neophyte at this stuff and I want instantaneous satisfaction. I don’t want to read any manuals or use a detailed search of any forum or YT videos for a direct and detailed answer to my particular question because that takes too much time and effort. I don’t have any music theory or computer operation experience either, and don’t want any. I don’t want to develop any common sense or troubleshooting skills… life is too short for that. I just want this DAW to understand what I’m thinking and execute my wishes post haste without my input. I don’t want to know about or comprehend anything about latency or signal flow, because my computer should be smart enough and fast enough to just do it now, without any interaction on my part. I should be able to enter the Daytona 200 with my Yugo that has no tires and still win the race. And my DAW should have a command available that can brew, pour, and deliver a cup of coffee to my desk… like yesterday. Other DAWs can do that, why can’t this one? Never mind that there are many folks out there that have spent decades learning and honing a skill set that covers all of these things. Their experienced and insightful answers don’t count. I don’t have the time or patience for that.
  11. The short answer is NO. You can select all the tracks and bounce to track(s) as a single process which adds a new audio track for each selected source, but they are still queued to the CPU in a serial manner, and it does not remove or mute the source tracks/instruments.

    Ache

Pretty good rendition... but the guitars are too much IN tune to really qualify as 'Grunge'. LOL!
  13. You may also want to have a look at the <Preferences><Customization><Snap to Grid> settings (you MUST have a project open to see this in Prefs, as it appears to be Project Specific). I have had to play with this many times before I got it to where it was comfortable for my workflow, and then saved it in my project templates.
  14. The SOS record feature is in essence already a merge, with the added functionality of undo or selective edit using take lanes. Once satisfaction is achieved, BtC commits. If this is implemented, I would request a toggle setting in Preferences so that I don't ever have to use it.
  15. The rest of us figured this out last August, so you're catching up...
  16. My Netflix project is finished! (whew!) 18 distinct cues based on 6 themes for a total run time of 43:35, plus an additional 38 minutes of incidental music. The bills are all paid for next quarter and then some (again... whew!). Here's a piece that didn't make the cut, so I thought I'd have a little fun with it on my own. Enjoy!
  17. No issues with Synchron player here, VST2 or VST3, v1.3.810, 15 year old iLok with many licenses on it, iLok License Manager v5.7.1GM
  18. I have the Sparrow 4 installed as a MIDI device and it works flawlessly. The [redacted] control surface in the above screenshots also works flawlessly but is limited function due to just using the MCU emulation. I don't have function of the 'loop' button, but don't care. All devices play together well for many years now.
  19. Try it with the Komplete Kontrol DAW-1 ticked in both input & output sections. But that shouldn't affect the playable keys. Then set the Ctrl Surface to the KK-DAW-1 instead of the MIDI portion.
  20. Because the default location for latest NI plugins is C:\\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Executables are in Program Files\Native Instruments\ ...unless you changed the default location. Make sure you have added the necessary directories to the scan path in CbB.
  21. Yes. Then resave the template and compare load size & time.
  22. I have huge scoring templates with 120+ tracks with separate articulations and have the track/instrument Archived until I need it. That way the entire template loads quickly and with minimal RAM until I activate the track, at that point there may be a small wait while the samples load.
  23. Yeah, all of the demos are way too wet, but the samples are actually much drier. Glad that you found a solution. And FWIW, I've never had a DX plug crash any sessions when adding at any time, especially TTS1.
  24. @Canopus That is the budget sub-set of the main 8Dio instrument, and is quite good. I just opted for the full boat because I needed more depth. But I'd bet that John can easily get by with the Soundpaint collection.
