  1. Chopping dialog with Remove Silence is very difficult. The split options are to keep left/right/both/none, so I'm not sure what "the middle" would be...🤔
  2. On the studio version (Village Recorders, LA), with Beckers rhythm guitar part in the left channel, they gated that thing so hard that you can hear it pumping. Scuttlebutt was that Jeff Katz had the engineer daisychain two Kepexes on it. (can't prove it tho) 😝
  3. You can choose to keep the left or right in <Preferences><Customization><Editing (Advanced)> Clips
  4. It's a vibraphone (many times underappreciated).[I'm a big Lionel Hampton fan!] And the progression is based on a Django Reinhardt swing shuffle standard from the 1930's.
  5. There's no harmonica on this... that's a muted coronet.
  6. Well, yeah... they are far more accu-perfect than most horn sections, always available when you need 'em, and don't get nearly as drunk after the gig.
  7. https://youtu.be/lOAsHFUs3ko?si=Mwqb6odUbYh0O9YS https://youtu.be/bN0PVfVCRy8?si=zr3zXb9z37iZ1N6v https://youtu.be/dWpYsqXb1LI?si=t30gv_n4TcfI_kTF ...amongst others out there. I modified & layered some stuff up in this track:
  8. Not that I have ever discovered. Any track that inhabits approximately less than half of the Track View will be on a collapsing scale of 0-127, any size more than half of Track View will be showing a keyboard. To my knowledge there is no way to set a 'fit content' default for either that section of a track in TV, or in the PRV, other than playing with Track Templates in conjunction with Workspaces.
  9. IMO: Cost/Benefit ratio is just slightly better than Spitfire & VSL, much better than E/W (altho the latter are impeccable string libraries). And nobody that I've found can even come close to touching the "Swing!" big band libraries.
  10. Does it show if search indexing or virus scan is running in BG? You have a ton of processes in TM. Anything you can dump? My list is ⅓ of that.
  11. I have a link to the PDF in my Win Menu. CTRL-F allows me to chase down any thing I need in less than 10 seconds.
  12. Found just below the left end of the time display [audio & midi].
  13. Have you tried running the Web Installer in ADMIN mode?
  14. @Istvan Karsai In the instance that you posted (screenshot) above, I found a couple of issues that are tricky with Kontakt that may help. [If you use Komplete Kontrol as a Kontakt wrapper, there are similar issues... but let's get this working first] First, in your Kontakt instrument you need to go to the <Instrument Options><Engine><Send MIDI to outside world><Chose Options> Remove the tick from <Script generated notes> (if exists), insert a check in <Incoming notes> and then close. (DO NOT SAVE the instrument when it prompts you later!) Then, using the routing previously discussed [Kontakt instance in MIDI OUT mode, MIDI track #2 driving INST track #1, MIDI track #4 driving INST track #3, MIDI track #4 INPUT receiving from the Kontakt output, ch1] as follows; ...then setting Echo In and Record on track #4 should allow you to see incoming notes from track #2 on track #4. Notice that; here, I'm using the INTERNAL Arpeggiator to drive Kontakt (Factory patch) Grand Piano and can then record the arpeggiated notes directly into track #4 driving the Bass. NOTE: (!) that the internal arp will miss the first note of the sequence if you try to start recording the arp sequence exactly at Bar 1/Beat 1, which is why I have shown the example starting at Bar 2, which is a good idea anyway with all projects IMO. Place the playback head (vertical cursor) at Bar 1, start record, and you should get results similar to mine above. There are too many quirks with Kontakt and the Internal Arp for me to cover here, but this should work. Driving from another instrument may be similar, but YMMV.
  15. Is D:\ your boot drive? Cakewalk, by default, installs the core application(s) in the boot drive: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core > Cakewalk.exe Have you looked there (if such exists)?
  16. At the risk of oversaturating the market, I'm submitting yet another cue from the second act of my current project. Enjoy!
  17. Hospitals and cemeteries always have room for those who choose not to read the manuals.
  18. Django Reinhardt before the fire;
  19. The 'Wave Profiler' only reports status on MOBO internal drivers - WDM/WASAPI. Your ASIO drivers report their own sample/rate/latency from the drivers control panel.
  20. Very cool treatment! I like the mix alot. I might like to hear the entire thing in a larger room (just slightly wetter overall), but really good anyway.
  21. Just to confirm; you are recording on the receiving instruments MIDI track? As I mentioned, not every VST can send MIDI out (even though the checkbox is available) due to factors involved in how the arp is implemented in the instrument [that are too deep to discuss here]. I do not, as a matter of privacy, open other folks projects, and I do not have access to the Synthmaster instrument, so I can't help any further in this situation. Maybe someone else can pick up the ball from here... Best of luck.
  22. When you insert the Synthmaster into the project, check this box (if it is available... as I said, NOT ALL instruments can do this...): Then use the output of that instrument to drive the input of another instrument, and it MAY record the arp sequence. Not guaranteed... depends on the instrument and the way it was written. Also available here (on some instruments...):
  23. If the SW Synth can send MIDI out (needs to be VST3 IIRC...), then you can play the incoming data through the synth and record its output to a new MIDI track. That should do the trick. [Caveat: this does not work with ALL VST's]
