  1. Yes I have that too. I haven't had time to look and see if it is certain vendors or certain plugins. I will write it down next time it happens. Did you pin it to any VST that always did that?
  2. Wow thanks for that latency chart. I don't know what some of those letters mean but I can at least find the stuff I use a lot. This was a test track - I picked a few plugins that were hard on CPU on purpose. Then duplicated to 5 times to make 6 tracks. Just a test. Latency set to 2048. I would hardly ever put Abby Roads Reverbs or Fabfilter L2 Pro on a track! Finally got Reaper to work. CPU 62%-65% ( You can not use VST3 - TG mastering processor in Reaper - Crashes every time!) Cakewalk - CPU 47%-48% Samplitude X4 - Still Would not play the song. I am PROUD of Cakewalk - it is the only DAW I own that would even play this song! Samplitude showed only 36% CPU but still did not play. I guess I should design another with more tracks using track type effect and a couple of busses with bus type effects. Thanks for all the info! Max Arwood
  3. Like I said I do not know anything about Reaper - I had the FX bins all off!!! When I turned on the first tracks FX bin Reaper crashed. It would not play the project. I tried the same 6 tracks in Samplitude X4. CPU 36% - but the project would not even play. Cakewalk is the only DAW that would play this project. I still a fanboy always was. Sorry no one even replied to tell me something must be wrong this difference would be impossible. Thanks, Max Arwood
  4. I have been looking at Panup's post about export speed- so - I thought I might do a quick test on playback since I Have been having so much trouble with playback lately. I built a project with 6 Duplicate tracks. I picked the plugins randomly. I do hear that Abbey Road is in the higher CPU category. VST3's Abbey Road Plates Stereo Abbey Road Saturator GW Mixcentric CLA-3A Fabfilter Q3 Fabfilter L2 Pro I get 49-52% CPU usage in The latest version of Cakewalk. I took the same audio track, the same plugins in the same order I also set up 6 Duplicate tracks. Reaper CPU 3-4% I have never even set up a track in Reaper or used it until tonight - I am a dedicated Cakewalk fan. Why such a big difference? Can't we play a little catch up and narrow the difference? I don't want to buy a new computer and new audio card to use cakewalk. Please investigate this. Thanks, Max Arwood
  5. I listened to some new OVox demos and it seems to be the one! I listened to some early demos. Not do good. Newer demos sound like this song. Thanks, Max Arwood
  6. I was wondering if that is what it is. Or izotope vocal synth. Or a TC helicon?? Thanks, Max Arwood
  7. I can’t figure this one out. If you have any ideas please leave a post. https://www.google.com/search?q=“switch” “count me in” @:55 chorus some kind of crazy thick multivoice replicator I’ve herd 2,3,4,5.10+ voices some sound kind of robotic as well Thanks Max Arwood
  8. Also waves has meta filter. It goes on sale too. Don’t know what it is now. Max Arwood
  9. Yes I did that on this release. I think you will not be able to do upgrades soon. May be the next one might be win 10. Max Arwood
  10. I know others that are using older Echo drivers on win 10 with Cakewalk. For me, everything was working fine till the Cakewalk ASIO optimization update. I think 2 updates ago. Only problem was a slight amount of crackling on VERY heavily loaded projects prior to that. Now most of those will not play or they play for 10-15 seconds the stop to buffer the play for another 10-15 seconds. (I know I can turn the restart thing off) Other than my backups is there any other way to go back to try other versions - Like the Pre ASIO update?? Like with the old Command Center? Or a link from the staff to check performance? I have the Original file size 674,390. Could I update it with each of the updates till I get back to Pre ASIO update? Thanks, Max Arwood

  12. Upgrade to win 10 made things worse
  13. I did a full image of my drive before I moved to win 10. I also have 2 6tb seagate running. Back up - Oh yes Macrium! I would not do without it! I am going to start in a clean install this weekend. If that does not work. I will have to shop for a new audio box of some type. I love all the cakewalk updates! Thanks, Max Arwood
  14. I think I would like to dual boot win10. keep the upgrade and start in another “fresh install“. What is the easiest way to do add the second partition and install win 10 again? Fresh?’ I have 500 Tb to work with that could be allocated. This way I could see if the install is bauched or if the audio card needs to go. Thanks, Max Arwood
  15. Yes NVidia all gone using windows built-in driver. With a clean boot - Different things will end up showing Hard Page fault. One time it will be the windows virus msmpeng program on top next time securityhealthhost , next time searchprotocolhost , tiworker , next time nothing?? It seems like any program I load will cause hard page faults. I did memtest 2x both time all ok. What do I do now? Thanks, Max Arwood
  16. Removed the newest NVidia drivers. That did help some. Still short of power to use Cakewalk with a few plugins. Max Awood
  17. Johnny 5 says "Need more input" Removing the new NVidia drivers from Win10 help me some. They helped Win 7 run better. Don't know why. Each tweak should be tested. Still looking for more options.
  18. No, audio driver is windows 7 - no updates - no support. It is a 64bit driver. Should I tell windows to use win 7 compatibility on the audio driver? (Can't - it is a sys file.)

  20. - Didn't want to post in Kevin Smith's thread. I was running smoothly in Win7 with some help by Mathew Sorrels. Then, we got the ASIO update. Dropouts started with the ASIO update and continued through the next update. I waited until a second update before I decided to post this, hoping it would be resolved. Since things were not going so good with the ASIO update in Win7, I decided to upgrade to Win 10. I could also keep the Cakewalk updates going and hoped that this would help. Since the ASIO and the Win 10 upgrade, I have had multiple crashes daily, and can't play projects that worked fine before these 2 upgrades. I have an older i7 2700 Studio Cat computer. I also have an older sound card. I have turned off and tweaked everything in Win 10 I could find to do. Latency monitoring - Current interrupt to process latency 58.-79 then bounces to 100+every few seconds Highest measured is 326 ISR routine exception time 86.59 Highest reported DPC routine execution time 251 Total hard pagefault count 377 Any help would be appreciated - Thanks, Max Arwood
  21. I have an older I7 but still - I am having to freeze everything. My latency set at 2048. I have recently moved to Win10. I fell like I lost some processing power in the upgrade. I have turned off everything I could think of. I wish we could have an "official" statement of tweaks. I wish it would have a few levels - These will help, These will help more, and - If you are desperate for horsepower try these. Also - we have had tons of great bug fixes - but now it might be time to put some resources toward performance. I can hardly play any projects with ThreadSchedulingModel value set to 3. Thanks, Max Arwood
  22. Yes I have been following that thread. I decided to use a backup and restore stuff. Don’t know what happened. I will also try the new scanner. I always wanted to put VSTs in VST2,VST3 and VST32 under common files. Seems like a great place for them. Thanks again for your VST inventory ahk program. Don’t know how you did all that in ahk, but it works great! I deleted over 100 duplicate vsts with its help! Thanks, Max Arwood
  23. I tried to open a file I was working on a couple of days ago. I found out RX7 was (in brackets). I uninstalled / reinstalled RX7 . Rescanned. I moved authorization to computer from iLok. Rescanned plugins. Authorized computer and iLok. Rescanned. I found out that all izotope plugins are not working. Ozone RX2 RX3 RX4.... ALL gone. My product portal looks fine, reinstalled it too. Scans were inside preferences. Tried rescan failed, rescan all. Still no luck. I also emailed iZotope. All my other plugins are working fine. Sure would have been nice to work on some music tonight. I did notice that iZotope put DLLs in the VST3 folder. There were also .VST3s there too. DLLs were also located in VST2 folder. Stand alone RX7 and Ozone work fine. Any ideas? Win 10 64 bit pro Latest Bandlab Cakewalk. Thanks for any help, Max Arwood
  24. If anyone is interested - This is from google translate so you know it might not be exactly correct. Greetings to the developers! I am aware that the main developer is SONOR Russian and I am very proud because I myself am a shcoder. I am writing for you guys - while there was a sonor - it was possible to route audio through the reac control panel and asio forcibly setting the inputs and outputs that you really need. The roland company sent me their m480 remote control and 2 multicores 6 years ago - the remote is a wonderful workhorse - simple and thought out to the smallest detail like your sonor program - a product of amazing quality. By installing drivers for it, I didn’t suffer - it immediately appeared in the sonor, I set the outputs and inputs that were necessary for me and directly controlled the remote control from the sonor, respectively, received 40 channels of sound from the remote control via reac and monitoring without bothering, outputting to the built-in sound and several others personal monitoring devices (usb-connected external sound cards and remote control). Since the update on cwbl, problems have begun. The first - not terrible cwbl flatly refused to somehow interact with the m480 - that is, I lost the ability to move the fader and all sorts of small things like the equalizer of the compressor and other things. The remote control is always at hand and all that is needed. I am doing it on it without duplicating the same thing in the program, although earlier this possibility was and it was implemented wonderfully. The second and main problem is that cwbl does not give me routing capabilities - and everything would be fine - (because the route settings for some unknown reason did not go wrong and lasted at least a couple of years before today's update) the audio engine fell off or crashed when recordings, or for some unknown reason, ate all the memory, the Russian language ceased to perceive, the plug-in settings got lost, the MIDI fell off, it was impossible to assign an exit to the master - but it was somehow bearable - they would blow a new one, add it, exclude it they still add, etc. - I was looking for excuses and tried to endure - because The sonor product was made by my compatriot and was extremely excellent - I believed in our developers. Now I understand clearly (maybe I'm wrong) the cwbl project is clearly far from the product under the name sonor and this project is not led by a Russian developer, because functions are limited, opportunities are limited, support is canceled, and the most unpleasant thing - the attitude towards the user - forces you to upgrade Windows to 8k or 10k - this is the strategy of planned obsolescence - pure water capitalism based on endless absorption and the need to absorb further in order to absorb and enrich. Today I’ve updated - I lost my route and cwbl refuses to assign different devices to the inputs and outputs. Moreover, after updating, he suggested updating again and said that for the next update you need to put 8 ku or 10tku windows. Yes, I had the opportunity to upgrade to another version of Windows for free earlier - but why do I need such problems - update the OS on a perfectly working solution in a recording studio? - I didn’t update - why do I need a raw unfinished sorry for floating in a faience friend, constantly asking for some updates - an absolutely uncontrolled inhibitory something as an operating system? - I, as an absolutely adequate rational person - still do not see the real need to update Windows - only forced. The reason why cwbl was updated today is simple - the master bus muted error got out again since he does not have an output device. I need to record and I have such a hat. the reac panel was also not called from the button inside the program settings. it was not possible to do anything. Needless to say that my experience: administering systems, databases, servers, platforms for up to 500 machines, writing all kinds of client-server applications, crutches for programs, modules, functions, and completely adapting 1ski to the specific needs of the company I worked for did not help me . Like today I just did not dance with a tambourine. What I just did not do on the unlocked Windows in the developer environment - cwbl did not see the devices. To be honest, I'm tired of all the problems that I have had since the update. I really want a stable system - just this one - it is thought out, an intuitive and convenient interface, adequacy and flexibility in management - and just a huge force of habit. Please allow further switching between different interfaces and input / output devices. Today I don’t need an external audio card - I have two 1608 digital multicores and a remote control - so even I can’t connect them as separate devices and patch the ports as I need. although earlier in sonar this possibility was also connected to 3 input devices (2 multicore and remote control by turn), 2 of them were also connected to the output (twisted through the switch) and in parallel the master went to the built-in and on-line USB6 card. I don’t ask much - after all, there was functionality.
