Do you use patchworks? I was looking at it and Cantabile last year for a live keyboard setup idea I had. I didn't even realize what all it could do! Thank for the heads up. Just watched some tutorials - Patchwork looks great! Does it do multiband splits? And does it do splits inside of splits? Those are a couple of things I really like about Waves. Bad thing about waves - no 3rd party -waves plugins only, what a bummer. Thanks! Max

I little knob would be nice. I have been using Waves Studio Rack for this. In this Shell like-plugin you can multiband, wet, dry and pan all installed plugins. (Bad part- It only supports waves plugins). May be someone else will write a generic version of this. Yes this can be done easily on a Aux track or even better use use a send to a bus?? The easiest way is on a bus. I usually have a ton of buses in projects. Not just reverbs, but saturation bus, several compression buses for parallel compression. The project I have been working on today has bus AA (#27) Maybe they could add a knob for us in FX Chains, a mix knob could be added to the assignables - That would work. mibby-I am demoing the Melda MDrumEnhancer. I thought is was a drum replacer. It is not like & not like Drumagog which is a drum replacer. I really like the MDrumEnhancer. I think it is a little pricey but It is very deep. I use roland pads and SD3 for most of my drums. MDrumEnhancerdoes allow me to get even closer/faster to what I want than any other method. Still debating it.

mibby - Great sounding mix!! I have used Drumagog 5 for years. Don't know how it compares with Melda. Just watched the promo video Melda look great!

I don't have many plugins from PA. Which ones can you recommend? I have the basics and them some, but always looking for that something special! The only one I have bought from PA was Sandman Pro. It is Great!!

Usually people do this in the piano roll by hovering the mouse over the velocity bar and click drag up or down. Or by drawing a velocity curve in the velocity pane of the PVR.

Under the Pencil tool - Hold your mouse on the little triangle at the bottom right side if you hold it down the menu will appear with 8 drawing styles. The default is free form, but can be changed at any time. I don‘t think there is a option for the default if that is what you mean.

I think a train beat is a series of 2 - 4 note groups. Two groups of four to a set - The 1st group the 3rd of the set of four notes is accented. The second group the 3rd and the 4th notes of that group are accented. Also they have a slight swing type feel to them.

I just watched several videos on Kontakt programming, scripting and macros. I am shocked about how much can be done in Kontakt. I never dreamed it was that much under the hood. More stuff to learn LOL! Oh well. You guys ever mess with "inside" Kontakt?

Yes thanks - I did use that tonight. I have always added synths in the Synth rack. I guess I will have to change my old habits!

I gave up on soft tube stuff a couple of years ago. I used some of their plugins for years then they quit working - no help from support. They said the plugins were out dated. There are plenty of replacements out there.

Get the Free Valhalla reverbs/Echo they are GREAT! I like all their products. Great company. I also like Lexicon.

Vernon - Kontakt 6 bitflipper - Yes thanks - Track templates are great. I have quite a few. I guess I could make a couple of blank ones that have less than the 32 outputs and save them. 16,8,4 I know that there is an option to add tracks to a single instance of a synth after it is added. I just thought if I inserted a synth in the synth rack and selected 8 tracks I could get just 8 tracks?? I know that if you add a Synth that only has a stereo output you can click 4 and it will add extra copies of the synth to match your choice of channels. Why would it not limit the channels a synth would add? It just looks like that is what the dialogue would do.

I was trying to add 8 Stereo tracks in Kontakt. I clicked to limit to checkbox and put in 8. I ended up with 32 tracks. Did I do something wrong?

I can’t believe you guys don’t have delay compensation turned on - on every plugin. How can you ever get the timing the way it should be? If your latency is a short trip it would be less noticeable, but still out of sync.

Or you can set up 8 Omnispheres/Kontakts and freeze/edit/refreeze them quickly. Low CPU and Quick Editing. I hate freezing/unfreezing a Kontakt with 16+ Channels!!! I have been splitting it to several instances like - Trumpets 1/2 next copy of Kontakt FHorn 1/2. I am never through after the 1st freeze! Back and Forth.

I was also thinking that might work.
