Errors, errors, and more errors...
Max Arwood replied to Diana Chahine's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I noticed one thing. You said only mono sounds good. I saw that you have your master set mono. It should never be mono. Try all three - both channels and the master to stereo. Also you must have input monitoring turned on to cause the echo. -
I had problems with v12 So I went back to version 11 like everybody else. Then I found there was a “cakewalk” update so I got it from waves then did a repair and a rescan V12 worked very well Not many bugs in it now Call tech support they can help!

Retrieve an extra copy of licenses 1x per year. Repair as many times as you need.

My favorite part -> [A, f]=tf(r1, r2, c1, c2) f=10.{circumflex over ( )}[−2:0.01:log10(50.e3)]; wc = sqrt(r2 * c2 * r1 * c1) / (r2 * c2 * r1 * c1); g = (c1 * r2 + r2 * c2 + r1 * c1) / (r2 * c2 + r1 * c1); Sounds great doesn't it? -
My favorites in order. Weiss MM1 (Very easy to set up) Pro L2 (Very accurate you can set read ahead till your CPU blows up) Waves L2 and L316 (L2-old standard) PSP Xenon (very good don't know why more people don't use this) Ozone Maximizer (Great to use inside Ozone) All are a little different. All will get the job done. Most people listening to your music would not know the difference. On some material it is difficult to tell the difference. And would that micro difference even matter?

Yes you can relock and unlock it for up to 20 days. Then after that the lock can only be picked with cash or cc! I decided to jump on this one. It sounds great. The only thing I was worried about was cpu usage. l think it is very light for the quality of processing it does. I was very pleased with the sound even when set to 7-8db! Is it better than Fabfilter pro L2? No, I think they almost equal - another than just little differences.

What does unlocked mean? From a bundle? Thanks

You could but if it is 50 tracks away it would be difficult. If you have several folders in the project even 25 tracks might be off your current screen

This price is good. I bought this at another sale. I like it very much but..... The release is very rough, so much that I could not use it in the project I bought it for. Hope for some updates one day.

Merry Christmas from Kentucky - oh no - moved back to the outskirts of Dallas Texas. Santa missed me because of the move, but thanks to cclarry and this forum I still had a nice Christmas!

Please read- https://current.org/2015/06/a-top-audio-engineer-explains-nprs-signature-sound/ According to this article Neumann U87 is the most used mike. RE-20 is very popular and is a great VO mike but so is a Shure SM7 or 7b. Shures are also frequently used. Heavy compression is a must but that adds noise between the syllable/sentences, You might be able to gate some of this out but you might have to do a lot by hand (or with RX) I usually use RX and volume envelopes. I also like to add a little saturation to make the voice pop out a little, especially if it is paired with a music bed. Saturation / tube distortion will give the voice a big/full sound.

Motu M4 driver issues - jitter and clock rate.
Max Arwood replied to John Vere's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
It sounds like a sample rate issue. See if the Motu has a default sample rate in drivers and hardware. Hope you get this figured out. -
craigb - Nice to meet another cowbell expert here. I love your board - it looks a little like mine. OK, well now I see the approximate volume levels, but what about EQ. What mikes and preamp do you use? Do you use any VST3 cowbell or do you use all analogue (free range?)? Oh yes how many cowbell buses will I need? Did you do any side cowbell compression. I really could use some help with parallel cowbell compression. Do you do it on the tracks or is it better on a bus? Do you tune your cowbells with Melodyne or do you think Autotune does a better job? What is your favorite reverb for cowbell? Do I need to record them @24k or 96k So many questions to ask a another cowbell connoisseur!! Thanks for any technical help you could give me.

I usually teach about 5 lines then the clefs and then the time signatures lol. Just kidding. I hope to be teaching 5+. I am a retired band and choral music director. I will probably start the cowbell classes first. Don’t see much of that around lol!! mad max and thunder cow bell.

Wow very nice video. Sounds like you got your scales down really good. I could never play jazz. You got to have it in you an I ain’t even close!! Was that a phone recording? The video was very clear. The audio was good too. Thanks for sharing.

You don’t know how much I appreciate your input. Thanks for all the info. Are you teaching or learning? Or both?

I am a music teacher. I was looking at Skype, zoom and MS Teams. Didn’t know which one would be best. I will look at artistworks.com too. Thanks!
