Thanks to Larry and a few others. We are doing better than most!

Yes they all have marketing plans. I have plugins I got from from the $29.99 company. I bought in around the 1990s and updated to P for $x,xxx.xx but I have used them for 20-30 years. I’m glad they have stuck with the $29.99 marketing plan. You know it probably won’t be $19.99 or $9.99 any time soon. I wish The other company would choose a bottom number and lock it in.

Been buying for years. Some I paid tooo much for some I did not. How many did you get for $15-$18. Non pedal effects.

If you don’t have pro Q3 you should get it. It is my most used plug-in. All Fabfilter stuff is top notch. Never had any problems with the plug-ins, authorizations, or compatibility. One more thing. You will never find them for 49.00 or 30.99 or 29.99 or 24.99 or 17.99 or 17.76! -

Orange Tree Samples 2022 Group Buy - Now At 60% OFF [ENDED]
Max Arwood replied to Greg Schlaepfer's topic in Deals
Well, I don't have any orange tree sample libraries. Could someone recommend a couple for someone just starting to use these? Most of my music is light pop, acoustic, and orchestral with pop blend. Leaning toward the Evolution Steel for #1 pick -
I tried it with several versions through the years, but it could never finish scanning my plugins without crashing. No problem with 6 other DAWS! The support teams answer was to take out all my plugins - I don't think so LOL!!!

Since we are already off the subject - Me - I got to look up and google everything. So google CLAPS plugin format lead me to "Hand Clap Studio" and this -> A little over 1/2 way through - when the Surge XT plays there are a couple of fantastic patches that play!! I have looked everywhere to find them. I saw "Filtered Saw" on the patch name. I have downloaded all the surge presets I could find. Stayed up all night auditioning them. Anyone got any ideas besides taking lessons on Surge XT ? TIA

I've seen CLAP is a new plugin format, is it supported in Cakewalk yet??
-
I haven’t bought it yet. I like it but it kind of sounds like they turned up the volume , boosted the high frequencies with mild saruration they also spreaded the width some. Also sounded like Look I it had limiter in the mix. That’s a lot to do using one knob! GUI is pretty simple.

A dropout has stopped the audio engine
Max Arwood replied to Harley Dear's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I just turn it completely off when I am in a dense mix. I'm not sure all the programs/files that might get scanned while mixing a song. There was a thread a while back, but I can't seem to locate it. You could disable virus scanning on all folders with Audio and CWP files. These would probably be the ones that would be accessed the most. You could just turn it off for a min and see if your song will play without dropouts. If it plays ok you could decide when to turn it off and on or you could turn off audio/cwp folders. I tried just selected folders, but it was not enough for my system, I had to turn it completely off. Just a note ** it will turn itself back on**. Hope you get it all figured out. -

I tried to read all the post. I didn’t see where anyone mentioned how much of a problem antivirus programs can be. I have to turn mine completely off to make the computer process my songs smoothly. Another option is to disable virus scanning on your cakewalk folder.
