  1. Guess I'm confused as I thought that was the OP's question & your initial reply. True for the Browser but the FX Bin right-click flyout ("insert menu") is fixed TMK.
  2. Thanks guys, but I'm confused about the link then. I see nothing there to determine bitness. VSTs are color coded in the Insert menu (32=green, 64=yellow) but DXs are always gray. The link did explain why some Sonitus plugs cause audio drops, tho.
  3. Do 64 bit Sonitus install with Cakewalk Core installer? ALL my Sonitus plugins are 32 bit even after running the Platinum installer for 64 bit. My Plugin Manager lists 2 sets of Sonitus: DX > Sonitus xxx C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Plugins\SonitusFXxxx.dll Loads in CbB with 2 single dots (32 bit stereo). VST > Sonitus:fx xxx c:\program files\cakewalk\32 bit plugins\dxshell.dll (path does not exist) Loads in CbB (dead) with 2 single dots (32 bit stereo).
  4. When a clip has AudioSnap ON with Clip Follows Project selected, it disables the ability to Slip Stretch that clip in Track View. Is this normal behavior?
  5. Is it weird that DXs are 64 bit and VSTs are 32? Plus, the VSTs won't load in CbB while I'm getting a lot of crackles and total audio engine silence (not dropouts) when using the DX version in a bus.
  6. As I thought. That illustration is mis-nomenclatured. They entered "E" twice and missed "I" altogether. What you're calling "Track Pane" (their error) is actually the "Edit Filter", thus my confusion. The "Track Pane" is "H" where the tracks reside. The legend should have read: A. Menu B. Drum Grid pane C. Notes pane D. Controller pane E. Note draw duration F. Key/Pitch pane G. Edit Filter H. Track pane I. Selected track Although Pitch Bend is technically NOT a "continuous" controller, it is a controller in it's own right and accessed in the same window.
  7. ConfusedOne say "Why?" Isn't Pitch Bend, pitch bend no mater what synth you're using? (You did say "Controllers") Or did you mean "Track Name" - double-click to change name of track, like in Track View? <- THAT! would be something.

    Where is "Wipe"?

http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.17.html To wipe tracks 1. Select the tracks you want to wipe. 2. Click the Track view Tracks menu and choose Wipe Track(s). Cakewalk deletes all clips and events from the selected tracks, but leaves the track properties intact. I simply select the clip and hit Delete!
  9. Don't think it's any different than other methods. Load soundfount into softynth that reads sf2 and assign it to a MIDI track. Simple as that.
  10. Sad, really. I think Emu is selling insurance these days with some weirdo named Doug.
  11. Not sure about the focus as it only happens while working in the Melodyne Multidock window. Will check on the bindings, tho.
  12. Yes. Divide & Conquer! Values are linear AFAIK.
  13. Sometimes while working in Melodyne, ctrl+Z will undo the last action performed in Melodyne. Expected. Sometimes while working in Melodyne, ctrl+Z will instead undo the entire Melodyne process and close it. Why?
  14. You can actually use both cc's and envelopes at the same time. And as you've discovered, envelopes make a long transition from one bend to another, easy.
  15. If I read you right, this is because envelopes and cc data behave a little differently. Example: A CC value of 0 is followed by a CC value of 4151, 3 measures later. PRV is only affected by a CC when it passes through it, as designed. Converting CC's to an envelope creates an issue by simple connecting the "dots" and draws a straight line from the 0 node to the 4151 node. You have to manually add another 0 node below the 4151 node to fix it. Do this by drawing a node in front of the 4151 node and then drag it directly beneath it.
  16. At 14 bits, Pitch Bend has a total value of 16383 so range is -8192 to 0 to +8191. By most default settings this bends up/down 2 whole notes making 4096 a 1 note bend and 2048 a 1/2 note, etc. However, the amount of bend depends on your keyboard/Synth settings. Dimension Pro softsynth allows up to 24 notes (2 octaves). Using a Track View Automation envelope you can right-click a node and manually change it's value. I find drawing Track View Pitch automation easier than CC's in PRV, but PRV is where I work most of the time. Would be nice to have automation envelope drawing option in PRV. EDITed: to correct values.
  17. PRV Wheel CC data can be converted to an envelope but weird things can happen that require manual adjustment.
  18. 1. Once you draw a controller, it will, as you say, make a line. You can now grab the line anywhere with the mouse* and drag it up or down to the desired level. *You will see the mouse cursor change to a vertical line with up & down arrows. If a precise value is needed, you can open Event List and enter/change it manually. ***It would be nice to double or right-click CC nodes to change values like we do for automation nodes.*** 2. I use Graillon Pitch Shifter plugin in the FX bin where I can draw automation envelope for pitching audio.
  19. Bouncing audio seems to remove the project name leaving only the track name. In my current project, oddly, there's a few wav's named the old way. ie: FX1t3kken.WAV. Why is that?? And why are there some audio in the Project folder and some in the Global folder for the same project??
  20. I still use them on occasion. And "lame" they are not 🙂 as they use actual samples . Old Sonic Implants sf2's are now SoniVox vsti's and use the same sample sets. Here's a quick google search for soundfont players: https://hiphopmakers.com/best-free-soundfont-players-vst-plugin https://github.com/Birch-san/juicysfplugin/releases/tag/3.0.0.win32 IIRC Sforzando converts sf2 to sfz which isn't always desirable as some are too complex for that.
