  1. My avatar dissapeared somehow, so I uploaded a new one. I know this one is scary but everyone nose emma nice guy ya. Oh, and if any mod feels like deleting my account completely, quote C. Eastwood "Go ahead now'
  2. sorry Robert for abusing your thread.. my 2 modded LP's, black is a heavy weight EKO VL480, and a modern weight Vintage V100. for me, after lots of work they are great guitars (but still not SG's).
  3. tanks maybe Artist or Studio (didn't compare 'm yet) for Christmas. need to check on the hiddyus iLok for once I'll be wise & try the demo first ?
  4. thanks Hook, but afaik it's only available for schools etc.
  5. If it wasn't subscription only, I would be off to Pro Tools. Only reason being printing in Sonar X3 adds quite a lot of latency imo (even with 64 bit engine (and thus oversampling) unchecked). Routing / getting a soft synths to work is a pita, Midi view, workflow isn't great, but will be simular probably in other DAWs Other than that I'm superstoked with Sonar workflow
  6. great effort Andy, not my kind of music (my small brain only appreciates simple rock/pop). but did bunch of likes, subsribe, plays to support.
  7. killer guitars you have ! thought about getting a classic '57 pickup....your SG or the LP has one I guess.. Chibsons can be hit or miss, had a few clunkers too. never played a Gibson, I know from Squier to Fender it's guite a step, feel it immediately when holding the guitar.
  8. good to read you're ok ! Like Billy Joel, have his 'innocent man' album, ofcourse 'Always a woman' = brilliant. That's an Epiphone or maybe Gibson on your wall ? Just pimped Chibsons here...never heard a Gibson in real
  9. for TV late at night, would switch to headphones (if possible) Audio Technica M40, pleasant, warm/yet open sound, massive bang4buck. regret selling my Sony MDRXB500 (I am stupid), not the most detailed sound/stage, but the fit/feel wearing them... most comfortable headphones ever no longer in production.
  10. Here in former Europe (now populated by all the scum there was in Africa, Middle East, former Sovjet Union, as if we didn't have any of our own) it's slow too...
  11. he's auditioning for Nikki Six tour backup. (Nikki is fine, he just wants a backup should he get sick f.e.) no bass skills required as they play a tape (not a real tape, just a file on a computer), like they do for Tommy too.. hoping someone who visited a Motley or KISS show goes to court and makes the bands payback all the tickets. I"ll pay Gene 100 bucks to watch his face when he get's that message..
  12. Craig if ye fancy watching whales yourself, found a used sub with pricedrop on Ebay.
  13. I gave up with all pro analog mixing/mastering gear, speakers + education/training.....my mix sound like
  14. I use a JVC Boombox nowadays (and Audio Technica M40X headphone)...around 350 bucks alltogether. The JVC has a guitar input, line input, CD, USB, Radio etc remote control Quite solid, approx 28 inch wide, big heavy thing. Front speakers are 4 inch, side (bass) speakers are 6 inch. To me the thing sounds not bad at all..
  15. Hey Kenny, the M-Audio were 5 inch speakers ? If so, have a look at Adam T5V (these budget Adam series have 7 and 8'' models too). I had the 7'', they sound very nice. The 5'' should be around 300 a pair (Adam are German, so expect good quality/customer service). On internet reviews they seem hard to beat at their price..
  16. RIP Bapu whenever you peacefully pass away after Keef, next century maybe if ever ? Writing now as still zero proof of death peoples login CH / read messages.. not saying they don't and found proof last week in my garden 'there is someting out there'
  17. guy here in the area found just going through his old Pultec improved the sound then he found it added 1.6db
  18. made me listen to Celine Dion cover
