With more information than you would ever want to read about St. Pete. https://baselines.com/?p=7020 I wonder when I go, will I beg, will I plead for mercy or just accept my fate? Over the hill the pearly gates await, And there I'll stand my hat in hand Hey Peter Please, St Peter put a good word in for me. Please, have mercy, don't deny my woeful plea . I'll stoop and wash your feet, anoint your toes with the finest oil, or my tears if you prefer. I'd walk on water for you if I could I'd fill your fishing nets with bountiful rewards and even more Please, St Peter put a good word in for me. Don't deny my final plea ============================================= I've tried to be a rock that rolls with temptations and the trials and tribulations, that He sees fit. But the road to Heaven is filled with potholes Can I have another chance? Please kind sir can you give me one more chance? Peter one more - only one more chance? Only one more chance I beg of you. ============================================= I've tried to be a rock that rolls with temptations and the trials and tribulations, that He sees fit. But the road to Heaven is filled with potholes Can I have another chance? Please St Peter can you give me one more chance? Only one more chance I beg of you.

Thanks Tom - it's terrible to see the great players from our past leaving us!

Hi! Thanks for listening. I think it took about a week to put it together. I find it hard to do the vocals unless I am the only one in the house, so that took some time to get done! Steve

Thanks Bjorn - I'm glad you took some time to listen - you never know if any of the stuff gets heard, and when it does, it's like a spirit lift and makes you want to press on - so thank you! Willoughby is from an episode of the Twilight Zone. I used some clips from that episode for a video.
-
Thank you Ross - I try hard on the vocals - it doesn't come easy for me, I don't consider myself a real singer.

Hi - thank you for listening. I think maybe I mixed the vocals too bright, I was rushing to finish (I know, not a good idea but sometimes I can't help myself). I'm going to have to go back and check on the D vs Dm - maybe I picked it out incorrectly when learning the changes - thanks again for keeping me honest!!

Thank you Gary - I tried to stay true to the sentiment ... sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't ?
-
Thank you - I love this song and finally got a chance to try it.

Acoustic Demo 'All Will Be One' (Original)
steve@baselines.com replied to JeroenInstrumentalAcoustic's topic in Songs
Love it - good work. -
Wow - this is really well done. I like the dissonance with some of the chord structure. I guess it's not really dissonance, but away from normalcy which is mostly a good idea. Very clear recording. What do you use for piano? Is is a plugin? The bass sound is nice too.

You are on a roll. This is really interesting. I always have trouble picking out lyrics on everything. I got enough to know it's worth coming back and listening again. Is this from real life experience or just a story? The music is very interesting - good work.

Nice, tight and creative. Really good work.
-
Nice expansive sound fields there - I like that woooooo-oooo in the bass-mid against the popping high synths. Gonna have to dig out my synths and patch some cables (on the screen anyway!). Good work on this one. I like the way the level increases over time.

Cool Jack. I like the reverb right in the intro, and that unique bass sound is really interesting. Good work on this!

The new mix is superb. The stereo field hits you immediately and the depth throughout is really nice. Everything is great here.

Sorry to see him go - hopefully his talent will float around and be picked up by a new baby today. https://baselines.com/?p=7016

It seems like this song maintains relevance through the years, especially now. https://baselines.com/?p=7013

Thank you my friend!

Thanks Mark! That picture of the astronaut that starts it off was done by AI ? Steve

Hey thanks Freddy - your comment made me smile! I had about a semester before calculators took hold - And at $350 for something you could now get for free on a phone, it would be another semester before I could afford one.
