  1. You always get such great drum sounds. And I am jealous that you can put together original videos without having to scrounge around on youtube to get the video content - I feel bad about having to do that, but I just don't have the resources to put together my own videos. You always do a superlative job on your releases, it inspires me to try harder!
  2. Nice wide field to play around in. Plus, in tune counts for something! I saw a funny comic about that. I don't know if everyone has the g-string problems I always have on pretty much every guitar. It's a picture of a guitar with each string getting a voice bubble of 'Nice Job' except for the G string getting one saying 'Not you!'.
  3. I like it - the vocal fits in with the music. I can't really think of many things to add. One thing would be maybe to have something to keep it moving along, like a tambourine or shaker since the drums are basically accentuating the snare hit. Nice work - somebody's got to get people on the right track rather than posting snarky stuff on the socials LOL!
  4. Nice - reflections of Dr. John mixed in with just a touch of Eubie Blake and Randy Newman - I like it.
  5. Nice job Glenn. I like the lyrics, especially the part about knowing the tunes on the radio. Paints a picture.
  6. A nice modernized interpretation of a classic - really good. I like the way it builds and that the organ gets introduced later in the song. Good ideas.
  7. I know, Tom - what was I thinking, right? Lol - I love the guy though. I just try not to embarrass myself too badly!
  8. Hey thanks Freddy - they don't play it much on the radio, but the first time I heard it I fell in love with the song. I think I was just turning 20 at the time.
  9. Hey Andy that is not a bad idea. I may try to do that one. I just came back from a road trip to Florida and while on the New Jersey Turnpike, I though of that song and the line related to that.
  10. Thanks very much - it took a while to get one I am happy with. For most songs I use Maserati Bass (Waves) for the top and send a portion to a buss with RBass (Waves) for the bottom. That works for me.
  11. With more information than you would ever want to read about St. Pete. https://baselines.com/?p=7020 I wonder when I go, will I beg, will I plead for mercy or just accept my fate? Over the hill the pearly gates await, And there I'll stand my hat in hand Hey Peter Please, St Peter put a good word in for me. Please, have mercy, don't deny my woeful plea . I'll stoop and wash your feet, anoint your toes with the finest oil, or my tears if you prefer. I'd walk on water for you if I could I'd fill your fishing nets with bountiful rewards and even more Please, St Peter put a good word in for me. Don't deny my final plea ============================================= I've tried to be a rock that rolls with temptations and the trials and tribulations, that He sees fit. But the road to Heaven is filled with potholes Can I have another chance? Please kind sir can you give me one more chance? Peter one more - only one more chance? Only one more chance I beg of you. ============================================= I've tried to be a rock that rolls with temptations and the trials and tribulations, that He sees fit. But the road to Heaven is filled with potholes Can I have another chance? Please St Peter can you give me one more chance? Only one more chance I beg of you.
  12. Thanks Tom - it's terrible to see the great players from our past leaving us!
  13. Hi! Thanks for listening. I think it took about a week to put it together. I find it hard to do the vocals unless I am the only one in the house, so that took some time to get done! Steve
  14. Thanks Bjorn - I'm glad you took some time to listen - you never know if any of the stuff gets heard, and when it does, it's like a spirit lift and makes you want to press on - so thank you! Willoughby is from an episode of the Twilight Zone. I used some clips from that episode for a video.
  15. Thank you Ross - I try hard on the vocals - it doesn't come easy for me, I don't consider myself a real singer.
  16. Hi - thank you for listening. I think maybe I mixed the vocals too bright, I was rushing to finish (I know, not a good idea but sometimes I can't help myself). I'm going to have to go back and check on the D vs Dm - maybe I picked it out incorrectly when learning the changes - thanks again for keeping me honest!!
  17. Thank you Gary - I tried to stay true to the sentiment ... sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't ?
  18. Thank you - I love this song and finally got a chance to try it.
  19. Thank you Nigel - Really appreciate the feedback!
  20. Thank you for watching! I am going to try to get this one some love on Spotify next.
