  1. Using a plug-in within CbB hosted in another host is not necessarily a bad thing. I have used this technique successfully and without issues with plug-ins inside of Voltage Modular inside of CbB. The method allows for some wonderful interconnectivity. I have done this with a number of plug-ins. However, Pigments within a Voltage Modular host inside of CbB along side of instances of Pigments hosted by CbB seems to cause extreme slowness requiring CbB to be killed to get back control. Also, when I first inserted Pigments into an empty project, the Synth Rack showed Pigments considerably before the UI window opened up. I do not have a super modern graphics device and since Pigments uses a lot of graphics, I am not sure if my graphics device is part of my issue.
  2. Was that the thread I did an insane amount of testing with? If so, please PM me the link--I couldn't find it. It would help me find my older Workspaces and Projects. I seem to remember that depending on the placement and size of overlapping windows, it is possible to have new floating windows cover up other ones. But, I seem to remember staggering undocked windows and then saving either the project or the Workspace. Those workspaces and projects are on an older PC which doesn't have a whole bunch of CbB updates and I am sure most of my highly customized Workspaces have not been updated. But on my current PC, I took a working Workspace and tweaked it for a full-sized Multi-Dock on Mon. 2 including one instance of a tab-docked Instrument. On top of that I inserted a couple of floating plug-in windows (Instruments) and re-saved the project. Upon reopening CbB and the project, the full-sized Multi-Dock occupied 100% of Mon. 2. To open the individual floating Instruments, I used the synth icons in the track view. Both opened up in the same location with the same size as each other (i.e., one hid the other! they were not staggered), not as the project was saved. NOTE: I have the Synth Rack in the Mult-Dock. There is an important difference when the icons in the Synth Rack are used to display the individual floating Instruments: (1a) the location is different for each staggered, but (1b) each time, the previous floating plug-in UI disappears, (2) unlike using the Track View on Mon. 1. However, after I reposition them, the positions of the two floating plug-in UI are the same for both display methods (from Track View on Mon. 1 and from the Synth Rack docked in the Multi-Dock as long as I don't close the plug-in Windows. In that case, they will display on top of each other (i.e., hidden). I have not tried using Screensets with this scenario, yet. But, I wonder if they can bet used to help restore saved floating plug-in locations on Mon. 2. I will defer to others who still actively use Screenset switching.
  3. It works on my 2011 PC. I will defer to others to try helping with possible reasons for the error on your system.
  4. I looked up Yellowstone. Bad news / Good news: While it is part of the Paramount Network, "Yellowstone is not available on Paramount+ due to streaming rights, but don't worry — we've got super exciting Yellowstone-related series streaming now, plus there's more on the way from the universe of Yellowstone executive producer, Taylor Sheridan. Dec 19, 2022." Here's the link for this ^^^ article (includes links to the webpages for the individual shows). Maybe these will inspire more songs?
  5. Thanks for the clarification. I will try to find my two-monitor solution to see if it does what you want or if I am misremembering. Probably not tonight; I am fading fast.
  6. I remember this came up before and since I have a few Workspaces that use two monitors, I gave it a try. Not 100% sure of if I remember why it worked for me and not the person with the problem. I'd have to find the thread and reconstruct what I did. BUT: I vaguely recall that I had the main Cakewalk views on Monitor 1 and an undocked/floating MultiDock including the Console View on Monitor 2. I don't recall if I had tabbed plug-ins in the MultiDock or if they were in floating windows. I believe there was an issue someone else had because the person wanted the main Cakewalk View set up to cover two monitors and not the way I did it. Can you be more specific about what you mean by "I have Track view on main (left) monitor, and Console view on second (right) monitor?" UPDATE: In this thread one user had a feature request for the single contiguous Cakewalk spread across two monitors configuration: If that's what you are doing (or want to do), my floating window is not what you want.

  10. In case its not clear: 'B' Movie --> A song about B movies. (A B movie or B film is a low-budget commercial motion picture . . . .)
  11. Yes, lots of memories included in a relatively short span of time!!!
  12. Do you see the images I posted? Do you see the things I posted but on your PC when Cakewalk is open, you have your project loaded and you are looking at Track View with the track you want to set to channel 11 visible? I'm sorry if I misunderstood your problem and what are trying to do. Apologies also if my reply was not helpful. I will defer to someone else who can help.
  13. Could you be more specific: What don't you understand? For example: Do you see the channel track widget? Do you see "All?" (track controls)? Do you not know where those are?
  14. Did you use the channel track widget to force it to channel 11? If so, did you change the preset on channel 11? If you don't see the channel widget, check to make sure the track controls are set to all.
  15. If by zoom you mean to make the UI larger, Windows has a magnifier. The short-cut to start it is Windows Key + the Plus Key. To close it, the short-cut is Windows Key + ESC. For more details, do an internet search for Windows Magnifier.
  16. I updated some NI synths on one of my PCs a few days ago and AV kicked up a red flag. So maybe 1.4.6 also fixes what I assumed was a false positive. I agree with Promidi--would be nice to have a scalable interface. But if we now have vst3, maybe scaling is in the works!
  17. So, I got sick of all the disgusting and violent election ads on TV here and decided for BF to get Paramount+ Premium [Mostly No Commercials] for less than $1.00 / week for a year--and last week I found they have Twilight Zone! With no commercials!!!!!!!!! 🙂 Its now on my list to watch over the remaining 48 weeks of the deal. Thanks for reminding me about the series.
  18. If he doesn't mention in the video what synth he is using and you really want that specific sound is, you could contact him. To my ear it sounds like many other synth brass sounds but with a bit of simulated breathiness; perhaps a synth brass ensemble sort of sound?
  19. Earlier today, I wrote up information to a different question, but I did spend some time to touch on how to look for Help. Reading the entire reference guide can be too time consuming (and frustrating) when you want a quick answer to an immediate problem and sometimes you have to know the right word or phrase to look up. Maybe the methods I touch on here might make it easier.
  20. What are you using to trigger the drums? By any chance, are you trying to record from Drum Pro's UI Pads with a mouse? If so, try using a midi keyboard or one of Cakewalk's built-in virtual controllers. Are you able to record midi notes and have them played back? I just tested Drum Pro and was able to record midi notes into an Instrument Track using both a midi keyboard and a Virtual Controller.
