This is just crazy. Think about what they are saying. Basically they want to surprise charge us for a few unenumerated minor bug fixes! Indeed, so minor that they are now telling us we donāt really even need them. This whole ā180 dayā justification is not even on point. The purpose of that 180 day rule (in their own words) was that they wanted to conserve their server space, and we could protect ourselves by just backing up the installers. In this case, they could have just replaced the old with the new on their serversā¦..and backing up the original installers (as we were urged to do) has not protected us against this bizarre upcharge.
-
The weird thing about this though is that my old kits (and new ones) are working, and I even have ALL of the installers backed up. The real question is what the heck the orange update button prompt means, and why I should have to pay any more money than what I have already paid for the original Modo Drums and 1.5 SE.
-
Iām asking tooā¦
-
This situation is a little different. You already have the original material on your computer, and even if you have it backed up (which I do) there is no way for avoiding a āre-activation feeā?
-
I see the same thing. There must be some mistake here. I wonder if those old kits do need updating though or whether itās just a mistake. If they do though, this is truly obnoxious, a step well beyond what was their former (already slightly irritating) policy on this.

Just bought and registered SE from APD with $5 coupon. New kits appearing in Product Manager. Only problem is that in installation a Java script error stopped everything. Never had this problem with Product Manager before. I guess itās time to open up a ticket
-
Thx. I guess I missed that one;)

The PSP 2445 is a very nice reverb. Anyone any experience with the DDMF 250?
-
Any ideas on how to get that email?š
-
Yeah but itās not on sale on the IK site for $40ā¦ā¦and you canāt use jam points with APD.
-
Where does the $28 figure come from? And does anyone know how to get the $5 coupon the OP was referring to? Thx:)
-
I think your issue is probably addressed by Peter's response to Brian, earlier in this thread,....but I wouldn't bet the farm on it:)
-
I believe this thread reflects what brain fog from long Covid must feel like
-
Deal is real, at least for me. I bought, downloaded and installed it. Only problem is the activation process is not working. This appears to be a Waldorf, rather than APD issue, since the redemption code I received from APD worked when it came to registering it on the Waldorf site.

I donāt really understand your point Brian. All Iām really trying to do is clarify what Peter said. If I buy the SE and it does not (for whatever reason) give me full Modo with all the kits, and I say ābut Brian saidā¦.ā, I doubt that will get much consideration from IK. If Peter has confirmed this, I would suspect their attitude would be different. To be clear, Iām not questioning your actual experience with this.
-
Brian, your post may have been clear but ,with due respect, some of us would like to get IK confirmation here, and it was unclear what post Peter was confirming.
-
Gotta concur. I canāt quite figure out what is being confirmed either.
-
This thread is giving me a headache. š„¹Currently my Modo shows (in info) as being 1.5, but I donāt have the three kits mentioned. If I get this SE deal, does it give me what I have plus the three new kits?
-
I used to have the free LE version of this in 32 bit back in the day. Kind of liked itā¦so might spring for it.
-
Iāve never had a problem purchasing from APD. Actually, that link looks a lot more suspicious to me than APD.
-
Those who purchased this earlier should check your download page on the PSP site to make sure you have the latest version. It's GUI is now re-sizable.

No special here eitherš©
