  1. Ok. Can i ask if you belong to those that want a sampler inbuilt? That also takes up space and added to that CbB already can record and work with samples. Albeit in a more clunky way. Sooo...make it an addon then?
  2. I don't think this have been mentioned before. Wouldn't it be nice to have one inbuilt, though.
  3. If you don't want to go thru the big reference guide you can find out about plug-in browser organization and the "set properties" use on this page: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=NewFeatures.024.html
  4. I think you confuse it with this. 😉
  5. So, you guys like jazz...huh...try to beat this!
  6. vst4free.com is fine. I've tested a lot of vst plugins from there without problems outside the plugin performance.
  7. Both Reaper and Cakewalk is excellent daws. I found Reaper to be pretty easy to learn. Made my own toolbar with own icons for multitrack midisongs in the firsta week. It used actionscripts and an installed gm synth. Reaper don't have its own gm synth so it have problems to play midisongs you dl from the web. There are lot of ready made scripts. You only have to find those that suits your purpose. That aside, i've already invested a lot of time to learn and understand Cakewalk so i'll stick to it as long as it works for me. I also like this forum much better. Plus it took me longer time to understand Reapers routing than Cakewalks. Personally i think Cakewalks routing is more logical than Reaper.
  8. I wonder if it's from her Madonna got her steel cones?
  9. There's a few songs that i feel overwhelmed with. This is one of them.
  10. I still have the white album on vinyl.
  11. I associate this with Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band.
  12. I have never used Sonar only Cakewalk by Bandlab from the start. I have the demos in the start screen on all windows versions. Maybe it has something to do with add-ons. I always install all of them aside from themes.
  13. SuperflyDSP has a free wahwah, phaser, chorus and stereo tremelo. https://superflydsp.com/ Free sampled instrument. Two whistles (flutes). https://unreal-instruments.wixsite.com/unreal-instruments/two-whistles
  14. I posted about mother. It's about dad now.
  15. If the Bandlab Assistant update start to install but stop and disappear. First check your systray. If there are one or more Bandlab Assistant icon there, rightclick and select quit. Go to: C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\bandlab-assistant-updater\pending\Bandlab Assistant Setup 6.1.0.exe Run it as admin. It should be 56 mb.
  16. So i got to think...if it begins to install...it probably would have downloaded what's needed for installation. I found the Bandlab update installer. It is in: C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\bandlab-assistant-updater\pending\Bandlab Assistant Setup 6.1.0.exe Run it as admin. It should be 56 mb.
  17. Two unusual things the same day... A swedish gameshow about music had two of the contestants perform a version of Coldplays - Fix You, translated to swedish and made into a duet. I liked it. I usually don't like covers. I love this song. It moves me and makes me shed a tear or two. English isn't my native language and i only focus on the sound of a song. But somehow the lyrics of this song must have got to me. Usually i don't listen to lyrics.
  18. I just watched Brian Johnson interview Mark Knopfler in 2015. Got me watching some other music videos. Mark Knopfler is magical.
  19. Pretty much sums up my feelings about it. Whenever i hear a rap "song" i get this thought of -how lazy can a musician get? 🥱
  20. So the country doesn't matter then?. It's the chicks that matter.
  21. Tonight i felt for some country.
  22. I like to have something nice to look at when listening to classical music. 🥰
  23. And now......something completely different. 🤓
  24. Hmm,,,i checked out Ugritone midi drums. You ought to know that names like metal drums or punk drums isn't necessary descriptive of what you're gonna hear. Midi is only information for a instrument that converts that info to sound. If the instrument sounds like a steel drum a midi file is not going to change that. They work in Cakewalk and all other daws. You need an vst instrument plugin with drums as already said. MT powerdrumkit is ok and free. You'll have to tweak the settings of the drums if you need a specific sound.
