For the benefit of any CW users who might be considering this deal there is a UJAM acknowledged problem with using Virtual Drummer 2 products in CW. (UI crashes). That's not to say that they are completely unusable, just frustrating unless constantly having to reset it is something that you might enjoy..

I binned Netflix when they increased the price after gaining 30 million extra customers due to lockdowns, which also meant that they spent next to nothing on new content, which led to them swimming in cash which then drove the share price up considerably. I figured that I would probably resub at some point that still left me up on the deal compared to if they had just let it be as it was, but I haven't really missed it TBH. Binned Sky before that because of their policy of giving far better deals to someone new that is prepared to sign a 12 month contract than someone who had been paying for 20+ years. Prime...........good value of you already order lots of stuff, but I don't so as just a TV package it's not all that IMO. Anyway, Izotope...........not a bad price, but no thanks. Putting Pro on the end of the name of products you already own may work for some, but not for me.

I just checked and it's fine here too. One weird thing that did just happen was that when I tried to open CW to look at this it wouldn't open. Run as admin started to open it (first splash screen and then it disappeared followed by nothing. Nothing showing up in task manager. Rebooted and then it opened. Never seen that before.

I saw him on a Peter Gabriel documentary recently telling the story of when he first worked with him on the album "So". PG was well known for doing take after take of absolutely everything and then obsessively spending hour upon hour poring over them all, which cost him a fortune in studio time and was the main reason he set up his own studio at his home. After recording his take on the first track, PG asked him to do it again. He asked what was the point as he'd already done it and was happy with his interpretation and refused to do it again. If looks could kill............ I don't know much about most of the other previously mentioned drummers TBH, but to throw another name into the mix I've always thought Jonathan Moffett is right up there. Steve Ferrone is no slouch either.

I'm not that bothered as the PC in question here is not my DAW PC which is running an older version and offline anyway. It just seemed to be taking an excessive amount of time to install which is why I brought it up. Anyway, FWIW out of curiosity I just installed the latest update and it seems fine in the sense that I can open a project, play it and look at what's new, if anything, which is the only reason I install new versions on this pc.
