I use single Controller view. Under the PRV view menu, I always have “Show Multiple lanes” deselected. In fact I resisted the change from CPA9 until this view option was added to Sonar Platinum. (and CbB)

An alternative method. In the PRV, select the notes you want to make the same duration. Then, while pressing SHIFT, adjust the duration of one. All of the selected note’s durations will match the one you’re adjusting.

Did you copy your aud.ini file from your original PC or did you do a fresh install of CbB. Do you still have that file from the old PC (or a backup)? If so, then rename the version that's on the i7-12700K PC and copy the one from your old PC. See what that does. This file is in the following folder %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core Just to confirm, you did disable C-States and Intel speed step in the new PC’s BIOS, right? I am sure there a users on here with a similar configuration as your new PC and are not having any issues. You mentioned your MSI drivers - are these for your onboard audio? If so, then (and this is a long shot) what happens if you disable all audio devices except the Focusrite. Do you happen to have an Nvidia card? Disable the audio on that as well (using Device manager - under System devices , High Definition Audio Controller)

I did try this on an audio clip to make sure this worked on my system. It did..... We need more information about your system. See my signature for the type of information we would need. I am assuming that you have updated all of your hardware drivers. Do this using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates. While you’re at it, you might as well check you are using the latest versions.

Does the Roland Fantom XR transmit Patch changes via MIDI when you change a patch. Maybe you can use Cakewalk to record what the Roland Fantom XR transmits so you can get an idea of what the XR expects. What format are the “karaoke files”?

Make sure all vsti's “Enable MIDI outs” are deselected. I would start with Kontakt stuff On all MIDI tracks/Simple Instrument Tracks, make sure all MIDI ins are set to specific MIDI controllers and MIDI channels. (Avoid Omni)

If you want the tempo to remain at the “uniformly slow speed” though out the “approx 12 measure section”, you need to delete all of the existing tempo changes and then insert your own.

Just do the insert a blank measure at the beginning of each MIDI track, and then copy the MIDI set up data info in the vacant space that you created.

I use direct MIDI commands to do this. But how you would do this depends on how programmable your MIDI controller is. Mine is a PCR-800 and this is easy. I will give you my example of how I do it. Your method will vary - see the user guide for your MIDI controller In the keybinding dialogue box, I use MIDI for the “ Type of Key”, CC119 for the shift command and then the real low notes to do the actual command. If I want to assign the lower Eb-2 key to play, I map this in the keybinding dialogue box. Then set “MIDI shift define” to 119 Then for the relevant transport control, I program the PCR-800 button to send the following: B0 77 7F 90 03 DT B0 77 00 (Where DT is the value of the button) The “77” above is 119 in hexidecimal When I pless the programmed button, the project plays

Have you checked the tempo track (In Track view, press ALT+T to open tempo track) to make sure there are no tempo change events throughout the track? If Tempo change events are present, you might want to offset the entire tempo map (right-click the Tempo track and select Offset Tempo Map) Note: When I create MIDI files, I do add tempo changes throughout for realism.

Look for sample rates. Look in every possible place were this can be configured and make sure they match absolutely everywhere.

Just tried it here on a PC configured as per my signature - worked fine here. Started with Rapture Pro - Strat sound. Replaced it with Arturia Pigments 3.5 - custom patch Then replaced it with Massive X (VST3) - custom patch Was able to play synths immediately after the replacements. May need some info about your PC set up and version of Cakewalk and what VSTi plugins you are using.
