  1. I have S1 3.5 and have not upgraded to 4 or 5. I went and 'Purchased' this deal, but it's not showing in my account. I do have FC Vintage 3 Band FC The Tube EQ FC Classic Comp FC The Tube CB FC VT1 EQ Correction, it is in my account. I t just was not showing under 'Recent Purchases' but looking under Products/Add Ons and they are all there.
  2. I like the Vintage Rock EZX. I also have been using Americana EZX lately. They have all kinds depending on what you're going for.
  3. Very true. But don't forget, learn to trust your ears. Like Zo says: API coming? First time I tried a API channel strip was UAD on the Apollo. I was really surprised with the character of this console strip.
  4. Great point scook. Forgot to mention that.
  5. Yes, what Steven said!! I had forgot about those articles. I have read lots of stuff on the distinct types of mixers used in making the records I know. If you have time, demo the different types for what sound your looking for. Cakewalk By Bandlab still has the console emulations in it. If nothing else you could use it for comparing the different types. It has the Console Emulation in the Pro Channel on every track and buss. They have the S (SSL), N (Neve) and A (API) Type and they do work well.
  6. Larry is correct. Very subjective. But I have used this same plugin to do mixdowns of entire songs. Used them on every trk and buss. I did a comparison between this and the Waves version. Both have great sound. I do like the TMT feature in this plugin. It really does work!
  7. If you don't have one, this is not a bad price to get the sound of SSL.
  8. But be aware, their use (GC) is limited to only being used in CS. And some products take a while, if ever, to make it to CS.
  9. Thought I might ge3t a deal on GR 5 to 6. $99 ain't the right deal. Not when I paid $40 to go from 4 to 5!!
  10. I was hoping for a MUCH BETTER BF upgrade price for 4 to 5 Studio. $130 ain't it!!
  11. I went ahead and picked up Vermillion and the Reverb pedal (like I need another reverb!!). Pretty much like Mibby, I doodled around with it for hours. That and the Chorus and Reverb (Room setting is killer!) really are simple GUI. I think that's what held me in so long. It was just so easy to get a Bad Company sound, then a good clean sound to play Pink Houses and Turn the Page. I was even able to easily get sounds to some old songs I wrote! @mibby will give the a360 a try. @Tezza I just was reading your post after I put up the guitar!! SO I will give the stereo a try. And your right about the cab sim. Really get a ton of sound from these amp sims. And such simple UI. Amplitube has been my go to for clean sounds for a long long time. With the Kuassa stuff, that may be changing!
  12. I saw something about that. I can d/l a version for it. Is that something to use with Reason> Or is it a standalone app?
  13. After playing around with AmpOne again, I am finding I liking it. Will pick up the Vermillion and give that a try. Anyone love Chorus? They have an excellent Chorus Pedal for $9 right now. Four simple controls. Rate, Depth, Mix & Level. The Mix & Level controls really let you dial in exactly what you're looking for. It also had the highest Rate control that I have seen. It goes to 20hz!! I thought after 7hz it was unusable. However, at that setting I started coming up with a little riff. And the more I played it, the more I thought I might turn this into a song!! So I was inspired. And after all, isn't that what it's all about?!~
  14. I was told that I would never fill up my 1.6gb hard drive in my first computer. I'm sure they meant it. I did fill it!
  15. Yeah. I remember. I just don't think they would give away anything big!
  16. Talk about a dream!!! If I were to guess I think it's got to be something they will be willing to give up. But then Studio Rak is a really good plugin!!!
  17. I thought the original topic was Tower Records!!
  18. Agreed. I was surprised at how much this could do being free!! I am guessing that they are wanting to push the subscription model or their samples. But from what I seen it dosen't push it in your face constantly.
  19. What was that? I forgot. I have played with Momentum and really liked what I was doing with it. Not being much of a sampler musician, I didn't understand a lot of things, but found my way around rather easily. It's free and comes with some samples too. I would recommend anyone interested in trying it out.
