  1. Ah i misread your post then , my apologies
  2. Tried in firefox, brave, chrome, safari, and got the “come back on the 24th” message each time.
  3. some items cheaper on antares direct website (edit: actually same price because antares.com added another $10 or so in taxes for me)
  4. Thanks for the heads up, it’s still not a bad deal, now i’m just stuck on whether not I want to tell IKM “ok, you win” by paying them another $12.19 i could’ve saved. That’s my lunch. I’m stingy i know
  5. had it in my cart at $55 yesterday and came back today to check out after making up my mind, only to find it back at 79. I won’t be using my points to jam Apparently 😪 Congrats to those who snagged it at the accidental loyalty price
  6. I believe that last year it ran from November 24-28th. Oeksound emailed everyone in advance with details about the sale before it happened, if you were subscribed to their newsletter. I was subscribed, but unsubscribed after buying soothe since I like a clear inbox; don’t need anything else from them really
  7. Asked on KVR yesterday and got a reply from JRR shop saying the full product will be included in the holiday sale but the upgrade won’t: https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=262178&start=496355566#top
  8. Interesting release date—not long before their typical holiday sale—i wonder if this will be included. New Freeze button might mean this could replace my Blackhole for live purposes, but guess i’m waiting until Christmas to see if that price drops 25%
  9. Got Freezr for $3.3 with expansion+promo code advertised on the main website. Should have trialed first. It doesn’t run on my OS although it says my OS is compatible. Jumped in confidently since I’ve been using Gatelab for a while with no issues. Messaged support, Lesson learned.
  10. Can quantum already do everything source code can? Like is it just the same engine used to make less complex patches, or is it different sounds altogether? Tempting at $11 and trying to understand the difference since they all sound great for soundscapes and such
  11. Thought this was just used in sidechain as a frequency-specific volume reducer, vs. a resonance-tamer like soothe. I could be using it wrong but i have mostly used TS to make space for another instrument to be louder in a specific frequency range than the track in sidechain. Otherwise i like to do soothe on tracks and gulfoss on the master. Budget friendly alternatives? Unsure but i guess before soothe people were just automating bell curve eq cuts. Soothe was on sale last BF for $140 i think?
  12. Chat GPT’s PA spiel: “Demo our pristinely emulated 60’s vintage color warming console with live curated transient detection, frequency specific stereo widening module, bass frequency monomaker, and a built in harmonic distortion unit to give your song the “pop” it needs to stand out from the crowd. Tested and recommended by all of the pros. Sound just like Green Day, Beyonce, and Bon Jovi. Usually costs $1499, but on sale today for 90% off. Only $149 until Christmas, buy today before we run out of serial numbers!” PA: nothing wrong here.. keep them coming. Dev team — please make this one look old and put lightbulbs all over it
  13. For those who have demoed, this or fabfilter pro ds?
  14. If this was cheaper and could load audio units i would consider it. At the current price, the file type limitation, and BF right around the corner it doesn’t seem logical. Resetting the buffer on a reverb every time audio is triggered is a cool concept though, that reverbs should have as an option built in. it’s also a bit humorous how the website publicly shows a notification that some cliche American like Jim, James, or Kevin have “purchased silencer” happening every 30 seconds (i timed it haha). The company must be rolling in the dough.
  15. Good but inmusic makes you reauthorize your license every 90 days. That part Gives me the heeby jeebies. If you don’t like the sounds you could always add trigger2 to the stems, that’s what i do usually. The core library is generous in the shell/cymbal options made available, though sound quality and tweaking as stated is not the simplest venture. Only bought the jazz noir expansion and wasn’t blown away.. to me it didn’t seem like there were enough velocity variations in the samples, only noticed this when i plugged it up to my ekit. Triggering loud notes with quiet hits for example. so in terms of replicating a real kit, compared to other libraries like the AR series, i didn’t say “wow” but if i spent the time tweaking maybe I would
  16. Sounds cool, couldn’t find the file format listed. Do these all come as one shot .wav files? Also is this their only product? also thanks
  17. Not here to vouch for PA… BUT, just a reminder that a little over a year ago $25 voucher minimum spend was $75+, so this is still seems a bit better of a situation for those single-plugin-deal snipers. Dirk’s generous goodbye bundle before he left I think did something significant to the hype of PA’s product, where Francisco partners are probably focusing on reestablishing perceived customer value slowly over time. Especially in light of the potentially hundreds of empty/fake accounts out there created just to add the bundled plugins for free & sold at a later date for pennies. that said, that’s 100% hypothetical and I don’t know a thing about PA’s new ownership beyond the fact that they’ve been under new ownership for the last year. What I do know is I’ve focused a lot less on PA stuff since the company was bought out
  18. Worth the $8.25 to subscribe/cancel?
  19. @audioschmaudio thanks for this example- to be completely frank, I think I may have just underestimated the session horns libraries a bit, or have neglected some of the other articulations available. I kept getting stuff that sounded pretty synthy to my ears, but hadn’t yet mixed it into a track or played with some of the different features. May just need to be more patient with learning how to use what I have @Vernon Barnes thanks for sharing this! I recently took notice to Indignus’ guitar libraries after reading another recent thread, and was impressed—this one is also sounding great. I will keep an eye on it and cross my fingers for a good BF sale next month
  20. Hello! I know this is the deals thread but you all seem to have the best perspective on some of these things in my honest perspective. I have a good bit of brass virtual instruments; the ones included in komplete, to musio’s/cinesalmples selection, to a couple of the “fire” horns from soundpaint.. while they’re for sure inspiring to score large cinematic pieces (primarily in my case), i can’t seem to get them to sound/respond the way I want them to. guess I’ve been looking for something in a bit of a smaller room & a little more geared towards songwriting where the brass is more “the focus” if that makes sense. If I had to assign a genre, I think either using either reggae or ska as an example would work for what I’m looking for: up front, articulate/responsive, and can handle realistic runs as well as staccato without the legato making it sound funny and/or synthy. Are there any kontakt libraries or other vst’s you’d recommend? Otherwise if there are any general tips anyone has to make virtual horns in this type of context sound more realistic, I’m all ears 🙏
  21. They said in the livestream that with musio 1, you will get updates to the current instruments forever including updates to its relative keyswitching and their mic positions (whenever those are released). But future instruments released 2024 & beyond will only be included with package upgrades: musio 2, musio 3, 4, etc. concurrent with Kontakt’s version scheme, so another 299 for each update when they come out. That said this first round of musio is a stacked lineup so it’s hard to imagine what more the future holds, but i’m sure they’ve got some goods on the way that haven’t been announced yet. The timeline makes sense though, and the lifetime deal they referred to as an investment in the long term growth of the product which is already looking pretty promising imo
