I can get a good deal for the upgrade at bestservice using my points. Also a bit cheaper at AudioDeluxe than through VSL. For first time users it a good deal, previous & upgrading customers not so much. Prices might come down even further, no-one even knows what's in the upgrade yet.

I'll continue to use their libraries, having most of the others for certain uses nothing else comes close. VEPro is must have, would never attempt a full orchestra project using different libraries together without it. I'll stick with VEP 6 for now if need be.

I can see why. Every few years they revamp certain policies. Looks like it's changing to single licensing for VEP7 instead of 3, before that it was their Vienna lost key policy. I'm sensing this per-release is more about getting users on board with their Synchron platform with the free Epic 2.0 incentive. ( Which tbh I have no interest in) I'm also not finding much info on VEP7 itself which is a bit concerning to me.

I know of many friends or colleagues that have purchased it. I see many on other forums talking about it as well, plus remember forums are only a small fraction of actual users or buyers. I could be wrong but I think ST has done quite well with it. It's a great plugin & I've only heard very few or minor complaints about it. On the other hand I don't know anyone who bought or even demoed thEQorange.

Then there's the exception with the Weiss DS1-MK3 https://www.softube.com/index.php?id=weissds1 Even the intro price was high but it sold like hotcakes.

I've owned FF's MB for years along with their others. This is too deep with features to hastily try to demo or compare. I've already found better uses for this over MB but won't judge it until I have the facts. For me it's $100.00, not a bad price . Funny, I remember many complained on the other forum that FF's prices were too high...until they tried their plugins.😉

Really, why? They're both excellent products. I have the plugins from both devs, sometimes one does a better job than the other.
