  1. Either my getting older and the effects of my pain medication including high dosage morphine patches are messing with my sense of time, but I think Microsoft should take their foot off the pedal for a while and work on what they got for a bit longer. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
  2. No, not any more, I do follow it though after using it from Pro Audio 9 through to sometime during SONAR Platinum, I think they were still using place names as part of release names, not sure, midway through 2016, anyway. Mainly here for the 'DEALS' subforum, although I do inject a bit of 'humor' where it fits, and after jono's description above, I thought why not . . . That's one thing I always found even on the old forums with the brethren, no sense of humor, and if anyone dare say anything but praise towards Cakewalk/SONAR, they react as if someone has pissed in their coffee or had 'relations' with their wife. They need to learn to laugh a little, not be so sensitive, it's only a computer program, I don't get all this emotional attachment to companies and programs, as soon as I find something that in my opinion is better than anything I am using and I get confident with my proficiency with it I'm gone, no regrets, no tears, it's just a computer program, not my Grandmother or my Wife, or my only child. Sorry for the rant, and taking up your time, I do look forward to when 'Sonar' drops and seeing what it's like, I'll likely just look on from the sidelines first and see what's what, then if it pricks my interest/curiosity, I'll install it on my test machine and take a real look at it. Don't think I'll bother even checking out 'Next', but you never know, there is still time to impress 😁 I'm not looking for another DAW, but I think it's best practice to know whats out there etc, just like I'm doing with my Drum vsti, I have no intention of leaving BFD3, but I still check out everything just in case, so I'll check out that new 'DW' thing. May your toast never burn, and your coffee be hot πŸ‘
  3. Don't sound like 'beat makers' less I got the terminology wrong πŸ™‚ I got to look in a bit further on how everything operates, and this 'Roland Cloud' and 'Backstage', but I'll jump if it all is honkey dorey. You got to give everything a bit of a whirl, a BFD3 man myself with 60+ expansions, so not like I'm not changing or going in head first, but you never know, so you got to do due diligence 😁
  4. That must have been me, I didn't get that when I reported it πŸ€“

  6. You might like this other Carr, the Car Telstar https://worshiptutorials.com/product/car-star-tone-match-presets-and-captures/ and this is a damn fine amp, go Angus, https://mattfig.bigcartel.com/product/wiz-capture-pack all 4 that he released 3 days ago are beyond very good, imo they are excellent.
  7. Oh please yes 😁, but I don't think so 😞
  8. Yes they are excellent products, and somewhat under appreciated and underrated for some reason. Good range of reverb to be had, good tweakability within REmatrix πŸ‘

  10. Change log for 2.5.79 (Released on February 20th, 2024) Note! This update contains a major structural change to how data is saved in all Softube plug-ins. This means that if you save a project using this version it will not be possible to downgrade to an earlier version of the plug-in and load the project. Furthermore Amp Room, Console 1, and Modular version 2.5.79 will only function correctly with plug-ins/modules of version 2.5.79 (or newer). In short; please make sure to update all your Softube plug-ins to the latest version. New products: β€’ Clipper β€’ Widener New features and bug fixes All products: β€’ New and improved parameter tooltips implementation. This is configurable in the plug-in Settings menu with two available options. See the plug-in Settings menu for more information. β€’ There is now one Undo/Redo queue per ABCD state. β€’ Fixed an issue where Undo/Redo did not work properly for Extended Features. β€’ Fixed various cosmetic issues in the Plug-in Preset Browser. β€’ Fixed an issue where some module tags were not available in Preset Collection for Amp Room, Console 1, and Modular. β€’ Added a "Clear Current Preset As Default" option to Plug-in Preset Browser and made "Set All Values to Factory Default" available at all times. β€’ Fixed an issue that could cause the DAW to become unresponsive when running too many plug-in windows open at the same time on Windows. β€’ Fixed an issue where opening and closing several plug-in windows could cause the rendering in the remaining windows to fail when using OpenGL on Windows. Amp Room: β€’ Fixed an issue that could cause Amp Room to crash when opening the plug-in in VST2. β€’ Fixed a rare issue that could cause Amp Room Cab Loader to crash in Amp Room upon instantiating the Amp Room plug-in. β€’ Fixed an issue where the mic position could change when closing/reopening the GUI. β€’ Fixed a crash in Studio One when changing IRs in the LoadIR module. β€’ Made sure that the background changed according to the loaded Suite when using Undo/Redo. Console 1 System: β€’ New Console 1 Channel Mk III firmware (FW 15.1.9) which includes: β€’ New Waveform view for compressors. β€’ Improved potentiometer implementation with better fault detection and tolerances. β€’ USB-C power distribution output now works when input is a high-power charger (like the MacBook 96 W charger). β€’ USB-C power distribution output power is now always the highest possible (rather than a conservative estimate). β€’ Fixed red LED meter ghost effect that was happening on some HW-units. β€’ Added Windows Narrator support for Console 1 On-Screen Display. β€’ Added new screen reader settings for track selection and parameter touch/change to the Console 1 On-Screen Display. β€’ DAW Volume changes should now be smoother. β€’ Fixed an issue where Console 1 Fader touch did not show which parameter was modified in the track view. β€’ Improved plugin GUI snappiness in VST3 Cubase 13 on Mac. Model 80 Five Voice Synthesizer: β€’ Optimized CPU handling for the aging feature. Tube-Tech Blue Tone: β€’ Added Modular and Amp Room support. Tube-Tech Classic Channel Mk II: β€’ Fixed an issue where switching from Mk I to Mk II while having "EQ before Compressor" resulted in no sound. Weiss MM-1 Mastering Maximizer β€’ Fixed an issue causing the background colour of the MM-1 menu was red instead of white.
  11. I'll have them, I'm a sucker for Softube, hmmm I could have stopped that sentence at sucker really, but anyway . . . Beat the Email as well, pretty good, thank you sir. πŸ‘
  12. Pretty well all the Zplane stuff is excellent, these 2 a little bit more so 😁 and good price, if it gets any better you are doing well.
  13. Changes from version 5.7.2: Fixed a bug for TONEX Amp not correctly recalling the cabinet state. General reliability improvements
  14. Yes, perhaps I should have, but that's the way it's done, although he left out that it is possible that via doing certain things it may/will require doing it again, no biggie it's not really a difficult fix. I have never had it switch back during flight, only making certain changes to things etc during non critical moments. So it may be a good idea to do a quick check before take off. I would just like to pass along the recognition and thanks to the person who was the originator of the fix, our own Zo. πŸ‘
  15. Do you know the the 50% CPU cut trick for Amplitube?
  16. It does make a difference, like you can hear it, it's not like it does nothing. I'm starting to think that it is a positive difference most of the time, it is subtle. It's not in my guitar plugin chain, and most of the time I don't remember to add it, and as such don't miss it, but when I do put it on, then remove it, I sort of want to put it back on. It's a strange one for me.
  17. I just gave it a whirl and it downloaded OK, try a different web browser or something?
  18. Is the 'Songs' sub forum right here no good to you? https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/30-songs/ Throw your line in and see if you get any bites. I don't know if there is anywhere that is guaranteed to give you heaps of feedback, you got to take what you can get, perhaps multiple sites? I hope it's not me who has taken the bait 😲
  19. I own all of the Amalgum Captures packs up to and including yesterdays release of the Fender Black Face DLX Rebverb (Pre CBS) which is an awesome example of a Fender (One of many) and doesn't it sound sweet, anyway back to the MESA's, matching as close as possible Amalgam's Captures and the Captures in the MESA/Boogie Reference Signature Collection, I would say that the latter more than holds it's own, it seems to have a\that 'something' or as Peter has said something 'very special' being what they are, not exactly the same as the for want of better words, the run of the mill examples, a description I would find it hard to argue with. At times it may be subtle, other times it may be more pronounced, tone, feel and definition. Then add to that the gorgeous 'limited-edition King Snake'. Ahhhhhh. Good times.
  20. and isn't that a sweet amp, it was the first I played and knowing what I know now I would have payed the price of entry just for that, but as a bonus it just so happens the others are pretty damn awesome as well, bargain 😁
