  1. First World problems? 😮 Check out the sentences I highlighted! Most of us take forever to find a box we saved in our garage!
  2. Reminds me of this quote which George used to start a video with: 😆
  3. Shouldn't this page contain lots of songs like Iron Maiden's the Number of the Beast? 😈
  4. So, are you guys implying that marriage isn't a word, it's a sentence? 🤔
  5. Never tried "that" measurement before! 😆 For me, measuring from that first crease on the wrist right below the palm to the tip of my middle finger is almost dead on 8" (maybe a 1/32nd of an inch short of that). I've never played a 6-string bass (had a 4-string and a 5-string), or any guitar with more than six strings (I used a Schecter Scorpion 6-string baritone instead of a 7-string guitar). That said, I've never blamed my playing inadequacies on being too long! 🤣🤣🤣
  6. I've always called them Van Halen and Van Hagar. Old trivia: I actually was in a very popular West Hollywood club hanging out with Eddie when Dave arrived unexpectedly and proceeded to be a complete narcissistic a-hole (he jumped on the DJ's mike to announce that he was looking at all the women to see which ones he would be taking home). He never came over to Eddie or even acknowledged him (heck, 99% of the entire club didn't even know Eddie was there which is exactly what he wanted since he was just getting out while Valerie was back in New York filming an episode for Family Ties that was never to be aired). Eddie shook his head and said "Sorry, I've got to get out of here..." and that was the last time I ever saw him there. This was in 1985 not too long before the break-up which definitely didn't shock me after what I saw! Side-note: So, how was I so lucky as to hang-out with Eddie a few times? Well, it certainly had nothing to do with music! He never even knew that I could spell guitar let alone play one (and we had just opened for Blue Oyster Cult the previous year). One day he pulled up to the door of the club in his white Lambo (his two body-guards pulled up in a non-descript car behind him) right behind me in my sports car. While waiting for the valets, I made a "Very nice!" comment about his ride just when one of the waitresses (who I had been dating came out). He realized I was "safe" and we had some nice chats at the bar while the body-guards stood behind us keeping fans away. The family on my Mom's side are all Dutch (my grandfather came over during WWII) and many are named Van Heulen, so we talked about the Netherlands (where he was born) and golf. The only music-related topic ever talked about was how he grew up playing piano! His father was apparently quite the musician as well. A really nice (if very short compared to my 6'4" frame) guy. Roth? Not so much. Never met Dave nor wanted to. I'd have a drink with Sammy though! 🙂
  7. And the meme to go along with that one! 😁
  8. Nice thought, but, no. I believe his first members were before electricity was discovered... 🤔 😜
  9. I wish they were that competent! It's more like being able to identify a plane two out of three times correctly...
  10. Yeah... Google is laying off 12,000 employees! Yikes!
  11. I still remember seeing Chris playing in a small band (mid-1980's) that was put together to showcase this incredible female drummer. I'm not completely sure where they were playing, but I believe it was inside the Sherman Oaks Galleria (where my best friend was the manager of the Sherman Clay Organs & Pianos there). There were several people from various labels on hand to watch the drummer who, I must say, is the first drummer I saw live whose playing literally gave me goosebumps! Damn she was good! I have no idea what her name was now or if she got signed, but she sure should have!
  12. If you take that front filter off, you can probably do some low cutting too! 😆
  13. Sorry Ed! It looked from your replies that someone else was already helping you, so I went back to some tutorials I've been watching! Besides, I found that my device is a Sony MD (Mini-Disc) player, not a DAT... 😕
