They are two completely different software programmes Cakewalk by Bandlab is the currently free DAW that is an improved version of the old Sonar software - though without some of the instruments and effects that came with Sonar Cakewalk Next is a new programme which is currently in public beta and which may not have a scoring facility. Discussion on Next is on a Discord page. This forum is for Cakewalk by Bandlab which is shortly to be replaced by the (paid for_ new Sonar Hope this helps

Cheers - you're not the first to enjoy saying that ? I'll give it a download then

Interesting - says on the product page that it works with Kontakt Player but a warning pops up when ordering that it only works with Full Kontakt!

Thanks - A glitch at their end then presumably - will wait a day or so and if still no joy will get in contact with them. I imagine someone already has ?

Yes the Soundpaint free instruments are superb and Adastra Ambiences is particularly good

There appear to be a lot of instrument & effects updates too I have just discovered - I had 5

Glad someone agrees - I love cinematic sounds but I have hundreds of them - mostly via free / cheap instruments such as Soundpaint libraries & LABS so I think I will pass on this.

The last date to get Caprakan or Orakle X is today - the rest are October 1st Although this seems an unmissable bargain, after listening to all the preset demos from each instrument and most of the demo music they all seem a bit meh unless being used for sound design in films. Anyone think the same?

I had that problem (I think it was the same message) with my old Win 7 then Win 10 PC but just tried it on my new Win 11 one and it seems to work ok now. It is a fairly common problem - some people have suggested opening CbB as Admin which didn't work for me). There may be other workarounds if you search for TTS-1 in this forum. Good luck!
