  1. WOW! I didn't notice the dropdown under Cakewalk thank you for the awesome help Scook! That should complete my setup! I don't really need V-Vocal at least for now. If I do I will worry about that later. When I opened Platinum, the insert audio track happened instantly. I still have a bit of lag in Cakewalk by Bandlab when inserting tracks but it is much better than it was.
  2. The Cakewalk Command Center worked quite well thanks for the help! How do I get back the blue cat audio effects?
  3. Do I need to activate the MP3 encoder? It seem to be working fine in Cakewalk by Bandlab.
  4. Okay I think I figured out Dimension pro and Rapture they have their own install exe's What about the Cakewalk chorus and the Blue effects and Sonitus? I didn't notice your post SCook. Thanks for the info! I will read your link as well! Best to you!
  5. I would like to install Dimension and Rapture and all of my vsts from previous Cakewalk versions that I have bought. I just don't want the DAWs along with them. It makes me nervous that .dlls and other vital files may be corrupted by the old version installs.
  6. I would listen to it and pick the transient marker that sounds like it is on the beat, move the transient marker to where it seems logical that is should go, move the marker by dragging the diamond in the center of the marker and turn snap off when you need to move a transient marker. Use a metronome to audibly listen to verify. I use Audio Snap only to get things roughly lined up like a live performance (to stretch and shrink large sections) and I add only enough markers, as few as possible. Then I use Melodyne to align each beat more precisely. Audio Snap is to get it roughly in place and Melodyne is to align each beat.
  7. There are a few possibilities. The DLLs may only be pointers to the content and they may not need to be updated. (I could be mistaken.) You could try moving the Kontakt DLLs and then try to update. Last ditch would be to delete the apps and DLLs and see if it replaces them then. Most extreme case would be delete the content, the apps, and Dlls and reinstall the whole thing. I think asking on the NI Kontakt forum you would get a response there as well. I had to redo my HD and Windows 11 so I am currently, as I type this, doing a fresh install of my NI Collector's edition and a ton of other Kontakt VSTs.
  8. My favorite patch in the whole bundle of sounds is in the UVI Synth Anthology where you get about 50 of the best vintage synths and many of their patches. It is from the Fairlight CMI IIx synth and it is called FCX-SIOminous Pad. When this pad kicks in in a song it is so full frequency and warm it can bring tears to your eyes. This pad alone is (to me) worth $240.00 a year to own (not to mention owning a Fairlight...) ??
  9. To anyone who may have purchased this subscription and who is new to UVI instruments. You will notice that you can access a lot of the patches through the UVIWorkstation VST plugin. But, the best way to access all of the patches is through Falcon. Within Falcon you have access to all of the Falcon patches and their parameters as well as the UVI patches.
  10. Sonic Pass Link Considering UVI Falcon is perhaps my favorite instrument, believably equal to VPS Avenger. This is the deal, UVI has a new subscription model! Unfortunately, I own many of the synths here but it is still worth me going for the subscription as well. Sonic Pass 24 bucks a month! (no I don't work for them or get paid for this) You get Falcon and a truck load of perfectly resampled vintage synths, organs and so many REALLY great PRESETS! that are pristine and the best EFFECTS. (especially their "rotary" effect) I bought the UVI Falcon, Rotary effect, Key Suite Bundle, the Synth Anthology, their Retro Organ Suite as well plus, I own almost all of their Falcon expansions. But, 240 bucks for a year for me is still worth the whole ball of wax. I salivate over the FM synths combo! and the patches they go into the music so perfectly. Just make sure you freeze your tracks and then you own the performances forever. This is still worth it to me and I already own the Falcon. Pay the annual subscription and save 50 bucks off the monthly. Let's chat here about your favorite patches sometime soon! This new subscription has only been live for a couple days. I am going to be downloading it when I am done posting this! Falcon alone has unlimited potential. Hope you like this tip!
  11. What? RME is awesome! I have had about 6 or more audio interfaces all the way back to SoundBlaster Audigy! ? Nothing compares to the sound quality of the RME Fireface UCX II... I can definitely hear a difference from the recording of all of my previous sound recorders. Yea, It sucks that it runs kinda hot, (so did my E-MU 1820m) it sucks that there is/was this issue with my system (that seems acceptable at this point). But the fidelity it provides has me at a loss to think of anything else there is that comes to this caliber? Nothing that I know of. I could hear really bad reproduction of my transients in my voice with my other interfaces. This thing nails them. My admiration for Cakewalk and this RME interface far supersedes any reservations. It is worth buying a 2 to 3 thousand dollar rig to make them happy together with it. Just as everything else pales in comparison to Cakewalk. ?
  12. Here is an update... I installed Windows 11 from within Windows 11 and created an abomination. My programs files has tons of other stuff (orphans) left over from the last Windows 11 installation. Also when I installed Cakewalk there was no change, it still took 5 seconds for a track to insert and about 4 seconds before Cakewalk would respond after. So I formatted my C drive and erased all of the files. Now, I only have two of my inputs and outputs active with the interface. Currently it takes about 2 seconds to insert a track and there is no freezing of Cakewalk afterwards. THIS I can live with. I have almost 2 TB of VSTs to install I hope this does not gradually get worse. I don't think it will, I did rename my VST folders before and that provided no change at all. Something has changed and this is much better. There is still a hesitation but it is something I can live with. It is not instantaneous like it is in Mixcraft 9 but it is not unbearably slow either. I will remark if anything develops. Thanks for the help awesome Cakewalk peeps! ❤️ (I spoke too soon, the problem is not gone, still a 4 second lag when adding tracks and effects with the RME Interface)
  13. I think it is Windows 11, a short while ago I upgraded my OS from Windows 10 to 11 and then I cloned my HD because I swapped a 1tb solid state drive for a 2tb solid state drive. It is like Windows 10 is still there trying to run things, fighting over who runs what. I need a new OS with no checkered past. If the problem is still there then it is a driver issue with my main board. I can't use Cakewalk like this. It takes a few seconds to insert the track and then it takes another couple second before my mouse is free to click things again. If I click too soon Cakewalk says "not responding"... What a mess! Windows has like zero ability to repair itself. Yes I can use it this way but it is sloooow! Like reinstalling nearly 20 TB of programs is better than Microsoft providing a program to repair Windows. And getting out of the developer loop is also an issue, I don' want an OS that is not fully tested. I did it to get Windows 11 early and now I am stuck with a perpetually untested OS. I have a Frankenstein OS. Lots of reasons to do a clean install. If this does not work then it is a new PC... I will let you know how this turns out.
  14. I also tried a test, I added the word BAK to the end of the file name all of my VST folders. Wondering if a VST could be causing this. Problem still exists after that.
  15. Thanks Kevin for the great tips! I tried disabling MMCSS in either or both of the interface and within Cakewalk and no change. Okay I have progressed a bit here. Today I installed the RME Fireface UCX drivers onto my Streaming computer. Then I installed CBB. It worked fine audio tracks inserted instantly. This rules out that I have a faulty REM device. I do have a Cakewalk install that is corrupted (I think maybe in the registry). I worried about that because it took me hours to install X2, X3 Platinum and CBB What a convoluted mess that was. I installed the old versions of Cakewalk because I wanted to use the instruments and I like the chorus flange effect that came with the older versions. Also some of my old projects may still have v-vocal on them. I am going to back up my VST folders then I am going to uninstall all of the Cakewalk stuff and then scrub the registry. Wish me luck please.

    Give Love a Try

New song awesome Cakewalk peeps! Hope you like! ?
  17. Hello Lapasoa, Thanks for your help, do you use Cakewalk with your RME device and do you also use Windows 11? When I switch my audio interface in Cakewalk to the Behringer UMC 1820 there is no issue. So my issue does involve the RME interface. What is causing the issue is still a mystery to me. It has been said that the issue could be Windows 11 security. How would I go about checking if that is the problem? Could Windows security be isolating my RME drivers somehow? Why is this only in Cakewalk this is happening and why not in Mixcraft 9? It is like my event list is somehow "sanctioned" behind layers of security...
  18. If this problem was just when I add a track I would not mind it so much but it is prevalent in almost everything. When I add a bus, reroute a bus or arm and disarm a track... Adding effects, copying effects... My whole work flow I am constantly fighting this problem.
  19. I have 64 bits of fast RAM, an AMD Risen 7, 8 core CPU and a RTX 3090 GPU. Cakewalk is installed on a M.2 Drive and my projects are on a Solid State Drive.
  20. This is what the REM tech guy posted: Did you cross check with a demo version of another DAW (Reaper, Cubase). What RME driver and firmware is in use? Is Bandlab fully compatible with Windows 11 ? Do you have a Windows 10 installation to check whether this might be a Windows 11 issue ?! Are the new security features enabled on this Windows 11 version? They said the new security design slows everything down, why a little bit older CPUs are descoped / not compliant with Win11.
  21. Msmcleod, I tried your suggestion and still does not fix it. Okay I have the latest firmware of the RME interface and the latest driver. I plugged in one of my Behringer UMC 1620 interfaces and audio tracks insert instantly into Cakewalk. A tech guy at REM forum said it was either Cakewalk, Windows 11 or Windows security... But, if my Behringer and my Realtek onboard sound both do not exhibit the same problem well I tend to think it is the RME driver that is at fault. They told me at the RME forum to plug the RME device into another DAW so I own a copy of Mixcraft 9 and when I add an audio track into that it comes in instantaneously. It would seem it is some sort of conflict between Cakewalk and the RME Driver.
  22. Thanks Andy for the awesome comment! ??
  23. I really appreciate the compliments on my songs guys, big thanks for your encouraging sentiments! ?
  24. Hello beautiful Cakewalk creators! Here is my new song, "Tender is the Light". When we are tender to one another we become love and light. Tender is the light... Love always beautiful peeps! RexRed
  25. Most audio interfaces can achieve low latency while playing a single stereo track like that. Look for an updated driver for your interface. Maybe disable your Windows sound card and any other sound devices in the device manager. Try not sharing drivers with Windows. Maybe borrow a different brand audio interface and see if you get better performance. You have a bottleneck somewhere, your processors are barely moving. 32 mb of even slow ram should not perform that bad. Try a different audio interface, your interface drivers may not like Windows 10. I think the problem is the interface and its drivers.
