You've upped the ante with this video. I, too, like the dark mood of the song, and I'm left wanting more! Congratulations, Nigel!!

Barry, this is a terrific song! I like that you are willing to experiment with styles because it keeps you from being predictable. I like the vocals in the version I just listened to. Keep it up!

Windows Are Rolled Down (Amos Lee Cover/Bandlab Collaboration)
Lynn Wilson replied to Ross Smithe's topic in Songs
Well done, Ross! Your vocal is spot on, and the over-all vibe is carefree. If you do this again, I'd suggest a little more bass to round out the bottom end, otherwise, this is just fine. -
Wow! This hits all the right notes - a superb collaboration! Well done!!
-
Another terrific song, Kevin! The lyrics and vocal performance are haunting which gives me a somewhat dystopian feeling. I like the fact that this mix sparkles but is not overly polished. True grit!
-
Fabulous! This has unexpected twists and turns and great f/x. One of your best!

I love songs that tell a good story, and this is a good one! I like this mix, and the performances are very good. It gives me a little bit of a Dire Straits feel which I like very much.

Great song, Rex! I love that you can be fluent in a number of styles. Your versatility shows how well rounded you can be. Keep it up!!

This is one of your better experiments, Jesse! Cool effects and mix as well as being thought provoking. -

Lynn Wilson replied to bats brew's topic in Songs
Regardless of the drum kit you use, this is a very fine song, Rob! That's the key! All in all, brilliant. -
Aside from the technicalities, this is a very easy song to listen to and admire. This is something that I may look into as my hands get stiffer with age. What an amazing, creative mind you have, Bjorn!

This is a very enjoyable song that has a lot going for it. You've received some good advice, and if you follow up on it, this will be a winner! Keep 'em coming!

Terrific song, Nigel! The bar keeps getting higher.

You not only know how to tickle the cerebral part of me, you can hit me at a visceral level as well. I'm very happy to hear this Wookie!

Great tune, Mark! I love the performance, the chord progression, and the terrific engineering that went into this. You make this sound so smooth that it seems deceptively easy, but I know it's not. Keep raising that bar!

Yes - even 8Gb is barely enough nowadays in 64bit mode with 64bit vst's. -
The thing that I like about your songwriting is that I never know what to expect! This is no exception, and I love the vibe of this song. Despite the lo-fi/distorted vocal I can understand the lyrics well enough to see the Gordian knot. That's all I have to say.

Hi Larry, this is a very nice, mellow vibe that you've created. It flows like a river! I just picked up Refract, myself, and I'm using it in a new piece. You showed me how it can add depth to a bass line, and I'm impressed! Keep up your good work in the new year!!

This is a very pleasant, but poignant tune. As you said, more relevant than ever. Well done, Pete! -
