Nested Folders: The Mute button of a nested folder behaves differently depending on the stop-playback status: When in stop, muting the nested folder button mutes all tracks (midi+audio) When in playback, the audio track is not muted, but the midi tracks are. Muting on Stop.mp4 Muting on Playback.mp4

Didn't know that! I tried and it's WAY better! thanks! Anyway , for this to work, you have to be active on the Smart Tool. Doesn't work if you are using others.

Nested Folders: When a nested folder contains a mix of archived and un-archived tracks, the status indicator of the container folder fails to indicate this. (second image shows the status when soloed tracks are present)

When saving a template that has main folders color coded, the color is not reloaded properly when saving and reloading the template. The left portion of the track folder is not highlighted.

Fantastic Update - Thanks! Nested folders are a very useful! Regarding the "Mouse wheel scrolling skips rows in 'Tracks/Buses in Project' list" fix, I find that the mouse scrolling goes in 4 steps sequence? See video. Video 1.mp4

If you really need the Bundle file, you could discard the audio track that generates the Audio Snap data, and then save the file as Bundle. I believe you don't need the clip any more because already did it's job?

Regarding the inputs, make sure that you are selecting the corresponding L or R input , or stereo, depending on your needs. see pic.

So funny, I used the Layla Echo for many years and was forced to replace it for the same reasons you did ... I guess you can configure your system the best you can to serve your needs, not only from a technical point of view, but also musical, especially when recording, as you really need a nice experience, inspiring, to record music. There is no fixed or absolute way to work with your tools. Some singers really need to hear their voices wet, others dry! May be you love the eq of your mixing desk, etc. i.e, if your system allows it, input echo on your audio tracks can be very easy and convenient, as long as your driver settings allows a buffer size of 128 or even 64 samples. I do record all the time this way. I prefer not to have endless rows of external hardware, lots of cables, etc. , and keep things as simple as I can. I worked like that many years, but had trouble, as each step added in the chain is potential trouble. Latency is becoming less and less of a problem lately. But, again, what works for you may not work for me. In my case my mic goes to the audio interface, allow input echo, and voila, I have control over the input signal all within CW. (reverb, EQ, pan, compressors, you name it).

I think there are two different things when monitoring signals while recording: 1. The monitoring capabilities of CW 2. The monitoring system in your sound card. For 1., make sure have input echo=on (see pic), and audio IN and OUT + interleave are correctly assigned. For 2., read carefully your sound card manual, to configure your hardware buttons and knobs accordingly. Some cards has a Direct Monitoring switch that sends your signal from your mono input (usually on L or R channel only) directly to your headphones. This signal bypasses your CW audio configuration. Therefore, even if CW is properly configured, you will still hear an additional signal from your sound card on one side of your headphones, usually when recording.

I think by default you get the write tool the first time you open the PRV. One way to speed up your workflow is by creating keyboard shortcuts for this tools. I created one for Select Tool (shift+S) Another for Smart Tool. See pics-

Not Terry here, but yes, that's how it's happening - The clip is always there, but the blops are missing. Missing out of view, but the edits and everything is there -

The same here! And yes, closing and reopening fixed it . - or reanalyze the clip, but it takes longer!

I try to keep updated to the latest release... a lot of fixes are addressed. And I think it's easier for the support team to investigate problems? not sure.

I have had this issue, and in my particular case I solved it by checking the physical connections of all the hardware. The problematic one was on the usb input of the midi keyboard. I even used the standard electronic cleaner in all the plugs and sockets, and it solved it for me. I guess dust gets inside this little connectors and cause trouble? But may be other reasons for this behavior. I would double check the drivers involved too (proper drivers+updated drivers). Hope you get it solved!

For manually editing the audio transients, be sure to select the correct Edit Filter - see pic. Once you select audio transients you can freely move the handlers of the audio transients as you need. --- Or, try Melodyne: is way more flexible and fun! I upgraded to Melodyne Studio and is one of the best investments I made to my studio. You can even alter individual notes within a chord... from an audio source, not midi. Amazing!

Yes, I import mp4 all the time. Go to Views/Video - Right Click on the video window - Insert - Browse for your video file. The import dialog allow you to choose importing video only or video+audio It should import your video into CW, and place the audio in a new audio track for further processing. The bit that is not so clear to me is the length of the video (5 hours is REALLY long!) - not sure if the audio will sync across the whole of the video.
