I was having a discussion with some friends about this, and we like primarily rock/metal, so these are choices for my underrated singer and guitarist: Singer: Ray Gillen, the 1st Bandlands album really showed off his range. Guitarist: Paul Di Bartolo from a little-known band called Spread Eagle. The guitar solos and just so fluid and unique to me. Solo about at the 4:20 mark.

I try to respect anyone who gets up on stage, because that is just tough to do. That said, there are some folks who should know better! Reminds me of a funny story though: I was dating a religious girl, and we went to Bible Study on Sunday morning. After our class, this teenage girl wanted to sing for the class. Well, she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket with a lid. She was as awful as awful can get, and she was really trying. My girlfriend and I, both musicians, gave each other side-eyes and we both had quivering lips and were about to break out laughing ...so I had to literally pinched my inner thigh to stop myself from laughing. I did not, but the bruise was BLACK from how hard I pinched. I will never forget how bad it was. -

Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, and a few miles away from the Flyers' practice facility. As a matter of fact, the Flyers had a goalie named Pelle Lindbergh that one the Vezna, and he got in a fatal accident a block from the house I lived in in NJ. Crazy. I played hockey for over 25 years as well, so I do enjoy the sport and it's nuances. I can appreciate a great play regardless of the team, or even against "my team". -

@Rain Are you a long-suffering Leafs fan? -
I bought this because, well, I've tried so many that the Solera Aged looked like something I would like ...and I did! Sadly, the distributor is small and these are scarce, but I have one bottle left! What is your current favorite?

It depends. I think Faith No More's utilization of keyboards is magnificent and adds to the music. There is a bunch of Ozzy stuff that has keyboards to enhance the music. Since I am a guitar player, I always feel the guitar is the center of it all ?

And you have helped people with a lot of information, including me! Thank you!

The big thing is, he is a 25%(assuming, but probably right) member of the corporation and keeps getting money. Motley hasn't been a true band in decades, so that doesn't matter as much.

Mick has "retired from touring"(after Motley Crue did a long farewell tour? You don't say!) but still a "full band member"(read: ain't giving up his equity stake in the band's corporation ...SO smart). John 5 has great chops, but Mick was the most underrated part of Motley Crue, and more genuine than the other members IMO. We all know the Stadium Tour, and the recently announced tour with Def Leppard, are simply a money-grabs. Sad. I'd rather them get a singer who could actually sing and nail the words every night, just sayin...

I use an odd pairing, I use a Dunlop Nylon .46mm for my acoustic(unless I need to pick a section and I may go up slightly)/electric and a Dunlop Tortex Jazz 1.14mm for electric. I love the detail a thinner pick can give the sound.

Great playing! Enjoyed it.

What Recording Software Will You Be Upgrading?

FINALLY???? Cubase piqued my interest a few times, but I did not want a dongle(still don't!). Dongle Free Since '03! -
I'd say just don't run administrative system functions and try to run any programs. When I want to perform any maintenance, I do it as the last thing to ensure I don't touch something that may get in the way. Sucks when that kind of thing happens, but I don't know if it is CbB's responsibility for that - though I can see the usefulness of it telling you it can't find your existing paths.

I don't have no CLAP(plugins)! ...sorry, someone had to.

Cakewalk - the only DAW with playback delay issue?

So, 130 audio tracks on old hardware and Win8.1? A lot to ask, regardless of your DAW choice. Also, WHY 130 tracks? -
Lesson Learned: Do not junction the VTS3 folder (Melodyne)

What do you use for imaging? I use Active Disk. I have a external 2TB that has rolling images, but a 1TB drive I am backing up, that is 250GB tops when I take a backup image. If you have bitlocker on the drive, it will do the ENTIRE drive, and not just the used part of the partition. I keep samples and such on another 2TB nvme on the motherboard. -

At this point, you can get a really good 1TB nvme m.2 for under $100. Hopefully those days of space concerns are GONE! -
I've noticed historically that the processor is the last thing to worry about if you are fairly current. The bottlenecks, for me, were always memory(now I have 64GB) and drive speed(spindle, then sata), I now have multiple NVMe drives. YMMV.
