Our new original song "Voliš li me" without vocal demo1
hockeyjx replied to The DuoBros's topic in Songs
I like the rhythm guitar sound on this. The bass could be brought up in this mix, and the drums a bit high in the mix IMO. Look forward to hearing the vocal melody on top here. -
I have a Cooler Master SIleo Silent, but that is no longer available. I found one on Newegg that is similar (I get plain jane cases, and get near/silent fans): https://www.newegg.com/black-fractal-design-define-r5-atx-micro-atx-mid-tower/p/N82E16811352048?Description=atx case&cm_re=atx_case-_-11-352-048-_-Product Also, get a silent Power Supply, something like this: https://www.newegg.com/corsair-rmx-series-rm750x-cp-9020179-na-750w/p/N82E16817139233?Description=silent power supply&cm_re=silent_power supply-_-17-139-233-_-Product And frankly, I would get an i7 as opposed to an i9, and double the memory. I haven't seen any of my projects really even getting to 50% CPU. But I would say if you are doing primarily rock, an i7 is a better choice unless you just use a crapload of CPU-intensive tools. Nothing I use is a hog. Modern Motherboards usually have 2 m.2 slots, I use my two on the board and then have 2 ssds in there for storage.

It really is not hard these days. Tons of Youtube videos out there. It is just being thorough and "measuring a few times and cutting once" kind of approach. I have yet to build a pc that didn't boot up correctly the first time. There are resources to pick out your parts, and this forum is a great place to ask as well. I'd say the biggest things are: understanding what you do with the DAW to determine the horsepower (samples and vsts require space and memory), not skimping on the motherboard/processor/memory (in other words, stick to the known names IMO - like ASUS/INTEL/CRUCIAL for me) and having a realistic budget. I'd say for about $1500-1750, you can build a super solid machine that will last for years. I think you can get Windows 11 free now as well.

$3700? I built my own, and it was only about $1200

If you control when it updates, you can make a backup before you install (which considering there are usually some every month, it serves as your backup schedule). It also gives you time to check the forum, because a bad update will spur a flurry of posts here. I have not had any issues with only the necessary updates and not the "feature" updates.

If you are on the latest build, and are an admin, you can pause updates until Feb 23(I just tested). I put it off as long as possible, and I would make a backup before updating.

Care to share that template?

I have the MPK49, and there are no drivers, just different versions of MIDIQuest/Vyzex download. I think you may be able to download that and set it up: https://www.akaipro.com/mpk25 . Mine works fine with Sonar Cakewalk by Bandlab still.

13 Reasons Why PRO TOOLS is BETTER than REAPER
hockeyjx replied to kitekrazy1's topic in The Coffee House
I was JUST GOING TO POST THIS! LoL. Great minds. Glenn is pretty awesome Jeremy, this one is sarcastic, but if you look at his channel, there is a lot of good content. -
ID-10-T error ...I feel shame
-
My mobo is in the shop, so no OS. Is there a place from my Bandlab account I can download?

I hope the OP (or others)isn't someone who has Facebook or Instagram, because if you've ever read THOSE TERMS OF SERVICE.... I have no PII on my studio machine except for logins for software(which are necessary). Not really anything to find.

@Bapu: We're not that far off specs! I love ASUS boards. Cheated with a Gigabyte Gen9 and then the Z490 came out ...I returned the Gigabyte back QUICK!

Amplitube 5 = AT5 or A5. Guitar Sim
-
Also, I am surprised A5 is Win7 or better(the I.T. guy in me had to check). Win7 is over a year past end of life, so no patching or fixes. Seems like a bad idea not to upgrade to W10. Why a developer would even say W7 or W8 was supported for a new release is a bad idea IMO.
-
Changed parameters and played and recorded it. Automated on and off and no glitches as well.
-
First thing, I didn't realize this was based of the Chandler product (of which I own a MosValve). Awesome. This works for me in the standalone and in three different projects with different sample rates. Is Windows 7 supported? You do know that W7 is sunset-ed, right?
-
I will try to reproduce tonight.

I was upgrading for Amplitub4 Max to 5 Max and I thought the same thing. I had my buddy go in with me, and I ended up getting a 2nd AXE I/O and software using my Jam points, and ended up being the same $299 - so I subsidized the upgrade. Then, I saw the Dimebag collection and bought it like a moron ...already comes with 5 Max. They refunded my money on that.

I want a coffee mug darn it!

Wasn't there a link where you could get a shirt or mug if you laid down some cheddar to the Bakers? I am feeling inclined at the moment.
