The Grater is the epitome of over-the-top compression, that will
break your sound with raw powerI've discovered I can easily do this by my own ineptitude, and for free to boot!

This one is a bit pricey ($60), but worth a look. It has some rhythms to get you started, and you can program your own.

I like playing around with this plugin. Most of the mics I have aren't on the list (and I wish they'd add more) but I find it interesting as an effect by choosing random-ish mics and switching out the sound. If I didn't have it in T-RackS Max, I'd buy it at this price.
That's my experience and I rarely use it (I have Slate and AA's lava which I use more); but for a ten spot it's worth it. I'd definitely give the demo a spin.

Thanks, thats a fantastic price. For anybody on the fence here are a couple of great demos by Chandler who often posts on this forum.

Excellent review, Zo. I really liked the Q&A because it was good to see who is actually behind the software.

i.e. How to make the most money for the shareholders and bollocks to the workers.
So true. My wife's father started a manufacturing company in the late '50's. In the 70's when corporations started making their employees part time so that they wouldn't have to pay insurance and pensions her dad refused to do it because he felt like he had made a promise to his employees to take care of them. During the Great Recession of 2008 when companies either fired or laid off people her dad refused to do it and kept all this people on full time. He said he did because they were the ones who made the business what it was. He lost money during those years, but he said taking care of this employees was the right thing to do. He was remarkable guy who didn't think only about the bottom line. The people who worked for him loved him and would have taken a bullet for him. I wish more businesses would think like he did.

https://s1scripts.wixsite.com/colortoolbar
Take control of your own "color standard" for all your Studio One songs. The Color Toolbar enables uniform channel/track colors and icons based on names, phrases, or even channel types. Now your buses, FX, vocals, and drums will always be a consistent set of colors and icons, speeding up your workflow when moving from one song to the next or between collaborators.
A very cool free add-on, and the creator is getting ready to update to 3.03

There's a TON of great information in there. A big plus is list of recommended plugins at the bottom.

I'm continually fascinated by Waves marketing department. How many more ways can they permutate a never-ending sale? You gotta admit it's impressive.

Dirty Lies

Well done guys! The song is very compelling with great playing and an interesting arrangement all the way through. I really thought that the piano brought something special to the whole thing. The recording, mix and mastering sound pro-level. This is one to be proud of!

I confidently predict that some future politician will unironically use this one as their campaign rally song, which of course will be ironic. Especially when they win.
This is probably the best quote on the entire internet ever!

First of all, this is really well recorded! Quite impressive. I like your arrangement a lot, and think that you have a really great guitar tone, and the guitar itself is very tastefully played. The lyrical theme you're covering is very timely and very well explored. IMHO to answer, the first two questions you ask are "Nothing" and "No". Job very well done here. You should be proud of this!

First I just want to take this opportunity to point out that I currently
have a Happy New Years sale at my site, you can get 30% off with this code:
CW-HappyNewYearDiscount
It won't work with M-EQ or bundles, but will work with anything else!
Whether you use the coupon or not, I hope you have a Happy New Year, and
I hope you've got good use out of my products over the years!
He has also updated Plates of Legend. You can get that update for the present price ($40) less what you paid originally, so say you originally paid $32 you would subtract that from $40 and then get the update for $8.
