I'm in the same boat with a mix of v9-10 plugins and had nothing but headaches when Waves first "updated" to v10. It seems they have mostly worked it out now and my mixed versions are happily residing side by side. Also, I've never "WUPped".

Some of my other favorites have been already been mentioned - Blue Cat's Chorus is the first I reach for, Melda's bundle is super deep and useful, Super Charger is killer, it still amazes me that TDR's Nova is FREE!, and Blue Cat's" Gain Suite" is ingenious - just put one on either side of an analog modeled plugin, link the gains, then dial in the sweet spot for the plugin and you're automatically gain staged. Playing devil's advocate - if my PC goes down, I can restore a backup and retrieve my Melda licenses (or Boz Digital) from the file I downloaded - or download them again from my account online. No need to PAY a 3rd party company for the privilege of using a license that I bought - even Waves gives you the option of using your own USB stick. (Even Melda's rent-own subscription is customer oriented and doesn't feel like a money grab.) Subscriptions are for the benefit of the company - it fills the need for a recurring revenue stream. (rant over.)

I don't think that is correct. Not an iLok fan - but I recently de-authorized my SoundToys plugins on a PC and freed up an Activation slot. I now have 1 of 2 available... Unless I am mis-remembering and SoundToys gives you 3 Activations. (??)

For example, I "bought" the JC-120 Amp in the Custom Shop a while ago. But it doesn't show up as an IK plugin in my DAW... Ah nevermind. I see now, it's in Amplitude... Along with all sorts of stuff that I don't own. (I DID say it was a stupid question. ?)
