  1. whats. still deciding if I want to get WUPed. NOTE: I see you can get this free if you have the required plugins. https://www.waves.com/plugins/multimod-rack#image
  2. i'll bite. what is the most valuable and useful Waves plugin at $29.
  3. wow.. that's insane. if that thing ever dies , you lose 18TB of data...
  4. I caved in and picked up a GA expansion. I didn't get Zilhouette Strings. The demos I hear didn't really ***** away and you can't demo it yourself -- so I passed on it. Getting into GA. It seems more powerful than what I have been using.
  5. Thanks. I am looking at the Jazz expansion and the Indie one and trying out GA SE that comes with my DAW. So far, it's been a good experience. I also like the idea of the integration with the DAW. What I don't get is the Phillps Jazz expansion has "560 MIDI files, 9500 samples" and the Indie Metro Heights expansion has "over 17,400 samples". If I understand correctly, I can load up the Indie kit and apply the MIDI files from the jazz expansion. I am a little confused why there is such a huge discrepancy between samples between the kits. Why the India kit has that many more and costs less while the Jazz and the Nashville kit (~8,000 samples) have around the same. Does anyone recall -- were there ever any GA expansion bundle deals? I only see they regularly have the 50% off deal and these expansions are not in Absolute from what I can tell, so they would not be covered in an Absolute deal.
  6. Looks like all of DrumForge is on sale. https://drumforge.com/products/drumforge-classic https://drumforge.com/collections/all Anyone use this? How does it compare to SD or EXDrummer?
  7. Hi, i am looking at the Jazz exp. Do you still feel the same way about GA? I just started exploring it. It seems more powerful than NI DrumLab and Abbey Road that I have been using. The 24 bit sounds also sound better than 16 bit in NI.

    Cop The Feel

You know what. I don't think I am regretting it. I really did demo the shit out of all those VSTs and compared it to what I already have. I have waaayyy too many advanced synth VST's and have barely scratched the surface of them. Plus, pretty sure they will do another push get to a sales boost in 1.5 to 2 years. Maybe by then I will have a change of heart. You realize that that NI/U-he bundle cost more than Fabfilter Total bundle on sale.

  11. i restrung a nylon string and started using this thing. works well. ?
  12. There is a NI forum. I am on it all the time
  13. I have Cubase LE and I think it's only on the CD ROM that it came in. If you want, i could burn the img. you need your own serial # though
  14. I am a big Cubase user. The support has been okay in my case. They respond within 24 to 48 hours. I am on the forums as well. Not much advanced technical support but lots of really experienced and knowledgeable people on there who will drop in and help. They re-did the forum so its a little weld getting used to it now. Either way, its much better and more pro than what goes on on the NI forums. "Yo, bru's.. I just bought $1000 machince+.. what is maschine man? i see my hommiez makin' yo beatz.. peace bitchez.. where is the power on button on thas thang!!!"
  15. The best advise is always, download all demos and try it out. If in any doubt, put credit card back in wallet and close it. ?
  16. man.. these 8dio products pricing is all over the place. what is the true value of these products? they range from $200 one day to $20 the next. I have yet to buy anything -- but i am interested. i have only been trying out their freebies in the on the house section. pretty usable. FWIW.. I read that a lot of working film and TV composers use their stuff in combination with other stuff and mixed them together. The composers usually like to hide the tools they use -- but if you pay close attention to footnotes and little blog bursts -- you sometimes get an indicator of which tools some composers use. Rumor is the late Johansson apparently used their stuff n some of his work (along with many other tools).
  17. anyone know if it uses less CPU in Cubase when run in Halion compared to Kontakt?
  18. damn. everyone wants my money. U-he want my money. Now Steinberg want my money. I always had my eye on that Zilhouette Strings. Sound much better than anything I have in Komplete.
  19. you are thinking of Zorba
  20. oh man. that marketing is so politically incorrect. indigenous community up here would be so up in arms about an ape in traditional native attire. ?
  21. this was in the top 10 vocal libraries or 2020 i think. wasn't it?
  22. to me the GUI and workflow and sounds are great. Now that I moved to a slightly faster machine its even better.
